Edwin sat in his office, along with Ruth and Elsie, discussing the matters at hand. Ruth had not pointed out her uneasiness to him yet, nor did he pick on it. He was too focused on his duties to notice what she was feeling. And Ruth too didn't want to distract him from her womanly jealousy. He already had too much to catch on to.
He was filling them with his experiences with the werewolf packs and what he thought about their role in the future of the breed. The clock had passed ten in the morning already and yet they hadn't taken any food so far.
"Ruth please remind me to meet Mrs Payne and Miss Chang in the evening. And we will also visit the cubs tonight. Okay?"
"I will remind you Edwin but make sure that you do as you plan."
"Sure!" And he again ducked his head in the papers sprawled in front of him, not realizing her sarcasm.
