Raze slowly opened his eyes, he saw Albert and Sage standing around a fire as a few rabbits were being roasted.
"Ah you are up, how long until our routes go different ways i wonder." Sage said with a small smirk as Raze's eyes twitched.
"Oh, I will tell you when they do Mr. Smurf"
"It is Sage you brat."
"That is what I said."
*Woosh* *Splash*
A water ball splashed on Raze's head, making him wet.
"Sir, Master Raze, the food is ready." Albert said as he cut the rabbit into 3 pieces and gave each one.
They ate in silence, each keeping their thoughts for themselves. After Sage finished his meal, he looked at Raze then asked. "So, what is your perk anyway?"
Raze kept quiet for a few seconds before making an illusion of a book, which was far from being realistic.
"Illusions?" Sage looked at him with some surprise.
"Seeing your annoying attitude i thought you'd have a godlike perk, not just an illusion. Not to mention a very bad one at that from the looks of it." Sage shook his head.
"So what, my Perk may be limited. But i am a firm believer that there are no trash Perks, only trash users."
"Well said." Albert nodded his head
"Indeed, tell me, what do you know about Perks?" Sage grinned as he spoke.
"Perks are powers that every individual is born it, and is mostly unique to the user themselves" Raze then thought but he could not came up with anything else. Living in a Village really is not good for getting information.
"Not quite, Parks are a representation of the individuals body and soul. which could be anything from a physical mutation to a complete change in bloodline." Sage then took a stick from the ground and started drawing a circle on the ground with LAW in the middle.
"Every Perk comes with it's own laws, this decides the limit of the Perk. The stronger the Perk, the stricter the laws it has."
"Laws?" Raze asked confused, this is the first time he heard anything of this.
"Let's take mine for example, one of the laws is that all initial usage of my power need to be in the form of a water ball, so i always have to summon a water ball before doing anything else."
"Then there is a law that makes it if i were to separate the said water ball in two, i can only control one of which and the rest will fall down like normal water, no longer under my control."
"So if you make the water ball into a wall, and said wall is split into two.."
"Then i will have to decide which side i will keep control and which i will abandon control, this in turns will require more mana to generate the water wall to the same size as it was before." Sage said as he demonstrated a Water Ball split into two, one side fell while the other become smaller, it wasn't until Sage used mana to regenerate the ball.
"What are the laws of my Perk? How will i know them." Raze asked somewhat excited.
"Practice, and experiment. When your strength reaches certain heights the laws just pop into your head, while experimenting you can deduce possible laws. After all, just because you don't know them, doesn'y mean they don't exist." Sage said as he used the water ball to put out the flames and walking back to the carriage. Albert also stood up, leaving a pondering Raze behind.
'Just what could the possible Laws, or Rules of my power be...I know i can only conjure illusions only from my fantasies, so things that don't exist... But... This term is so broad, as tables and chairs are obviously part of fantasy, but they do exist... Jet obvious things such as flowers i saw outside can't be replicated...'
While deep in thought he heard the carriage moving, hurrying up and running behind it till he jumped back and sat next to Albert.
'Does that mean i can't create what is alive? but why could i create that illusion of humans...' Just thinking about it made his head ache.
'Let's leave that for later, now i need to improve it, just like a muscle, use it more, and it will grow stronger.' As Raze focused on creating various illusions, from small animals to goblins to dragons and phoenixes then to items he only saw in movies back on earth which had unimaginable power.
'Yama' Raze looked at the katana floating around him, the weapon looked very powerful, but the illusion was very weak.
Albert saw Yama and furrowed his brows. 'What is this feeling... why do my sense scream danger...' Sage similarly had a stern look in his face as he looked outside at the katana.
'Just what laws does his perk have? fear? No.... this feels like that sword leader uses..' Deciding to keep observing he saw how the Katana went away while another item appeared, but something peaked his interest.
'He used different Mana for that sword than the rest.. What if he used much more mana for those normal illusions... what would happen...'
"Raze, make an illusion of an everyday item, but use as much mana as you cab to create it." Sage said after thinking for a bit.
Although somewhat startled to get Sage to speak while driving, Raze decided to listen and made a small dagger with as much mana as he could put into it. He then saw how the dagger became more realistic from it's ethereal form.
It looked less and less like an illusion and more and more like a real item, but his mana similarly drained at incredible speed.
Raze stretched his arm as he grasped the handle, and he felt some weight, but a few seconds later his mana ran out as the dagger faded, leaving him gasping for air.
"This..."
"Incredible"
Sage and Albert were speechless, for an illusion to take the properties of a real item while supplied with mana is definitely something new.
"The cost seems to be heavy but when you have more mana, this might be a very suitable perk for you as a body cultivator. " Sage said but then he stopped talking as he remembered those beasts. 'could he also create those beasts to fight for him?'
"Huuf huuf, YES!" Raze shouted as he passed out, this was definitely a huge improvements, If all his illusions could be come real temporarily, then he could just make a dragon to fight for him as he watches on the side lines.
"Sir, he seems to be a suitable candidate to user your invite on." Albert said as he looked at the sleeping Raze.
"Maybe, let's see how much he improves on the journey to the Larinth City, the center of the world." Sage let out a small smile as he looked at Raze.
'It has been sometime since we had a new guild member. The others will be very happy.'
The trio and 2 horses then kept their going on their journey which was fairly uneventful. Every day Raze would create cold weapons and pour as much mana as he can to make them realistic. He also realized that by doing that, his mana depletes faster, which in turn also grows faster.
Their Journey is long and the road even longer, in their 2d week of travel, the carriage was surrounded by 30 people, each holding a somewhat rusted cold weapon.
