"says who? I never said yes remember?" she said with a wink turning to leave immediately
Kol couldn't deny the fact that she looked so cute when she gave him that look just now. He laughed silently.
'she is playing hard to get now isn't she?' he asked himself. She really knew how to make him crave for her even more.
He went after her immediately. He couldn't believe he was the one acting this way, and especially for a lady.
He had never really acted this way towards Trish. Maybe because his mother was the one who hooked them together.
He had always been that type of man that stayed away from ladies because he felt they were all treacherous and deceptive.
Amy was the only one who grew up with him and she seemed to be the only honest female friend he had amongst others. And that was why he respected her so much, even until now.
But sadly, their relationship seemed to be waning now.
Kol and Rebecca got out of the private room together and headed towards the exit only for Kol to find Trish coming into the hotel at the same time.
He froze
Rebecca who was walking beside him noticed he halted in his steps for a moment.
"what's wrong?" she asked, her brows knitted together
"oh! Kol, I didn't expect to see you here" Trish said immediately, feigning surprise. She had hired a private detective to track Kol's movements.
She had gone to the company several times but she was never let in. She had also come to the McClain residence once but as soon as Kol saw her, he ordered the bodyguards not to let her in. She was utterly frustrated as Kol hadn't even given her any chance to come an inch close to him
"yeah" Kol said shortly. He knew Trish so well and he figured out she knew he was here.
"uhmm... I should probably go out first" Rebecca said to Kol as she noticed the tension between them. She didn't want to be dragged into any issue that she wasn't related to.
"no... Stay!" Kol said pulling her close to him and so she stayed beside him.
Trish looked at the both of them and felt disgusted at the sight. She rolled her eyes at Rebecca. It was obvious she didn't like her and Rebecca couldn't help but feel uncomfortable under her annoying gaze.
"wow! Kol, you even brought her to our place" Trish said. She felt that since they came there to eat often, then it was their special place. Kol was going to tell her that it was a normal place for eating and that he could bring in anyone however and whenever he wished, but he kept mute instead.
why waste his breath on her when she would just keep ranting anyway
"anyway, never mind. I've been meaning to speak to you for some time now. Come let's go have a seat inside. I have a lot I want to speak to you about" she said gesturing for him to go in with her
Rebecca cast a glance at her. From the look of things, she should be his ex girlfriend. But she was acting so proud like the world revolved around her.
"next time" he said to Trish shortly. Then he turned to Rebecca and said, "come on, let's go" not giving Trish the chance to say any further.
So they left together, leaving Trish standing there gritting her teeth in anger. Her hand was knotted in a fist as she could not believe Kol had just embarrassed her in the presence of someone else, most especially another lady.
She was very unhappy because Kol even took Rebecca to the restaurant they used to go to. To her, it was a very special place for them. How could he easily bring someone there? She couldn't believe that Kol had finally gone for someone else, instantly she regretted leaving him.
Back then, she knew she didn't love him. She only needed him to boost her popularity as she was a fashion designer and very new in the fashion world then. Though her family was well to do, they never allowed her to spend extravagantly as all the funds she spent were being accounted for. She badly desired a boyfriend who was rich and carefree.
So when Kol's mum hooked them together, she saw it as a great opportunity. That was her priority, other things were just second place.
Every lady in the world would want to be with Kol McClain but back then, she saw him as extremely boring and outdated as he really didn't involve himself in what most people his age did. He never took her to parties because he disliked social gatherings and so she felt he was so boring, and that wasn't the kind of man she wanted as she couldn't influence him in any way.
But that isn't what she wanted anymore. Since she broke up with Dan, she had been reflecting on herself and she got to realise that leaving Kol was one of the biggest mistakes she had ever made.
She had started to see the good side of him, but sadly she wasn't even given any chance to right her wrongs.
She didn't want Kol to end up with someone else if not her, and she was determined to make sure of it.
she picked up her phone and placed a call to the private detective she had hired
"I want every information you can get about that lady" she said to him with anger written all over her face

"come on, I'll drop you off' he said standing in front of her
"I came on my own. What makes you think I can't go back the same way?" she asked even if she knew he was just being a gentleman by offering to drop her off.
Kol was speechless. She was really willful and he loved it. He didn't know what to tell her because he felt she wouldn't be safe. Who knew if they were being watched? he thought. He'd better make sure she gets back safe.
After today, he would assign bodyguards to watch over her secretly.
"I know you can... but I insist" he said pushing further
'God! this man can really be so domineering' she thought
"fine" she finally replied going towards his car
In The Car
Rebecca felt pretty awkward sitting in the car alone with Kol. Maybe because they were pretty intimate a while ago. She blushed slightly when she thought about it
Bex, he called her softly turning to face her
"I apologize if you felt embarrassed earlier", Kol said shortly not knowing how best to put it
"it's fine", she replied with a sigh
"are you okay?" Kol asked taking note of her expression
" yeah, I'm fine. Just that I'm pretty overwhelmed, that's all" Rebecca replied with a slight smile
Kol just nodded.
She didn't want to attract much attention, so she asked if the other cars could remain while only that car they were in dropped her off. Kol agreed immediately.
And so he dropped her off at work. And because he didn't have much to do at McClain Entertainment, he left almost immediately.

Amy had been sulking for days as she had seriously had the worst time ever. She still didn't believe Kol didn't have even an iota of feeling for her.
She had been indoors for some days as she had finished auditioning for her roles in the upcoming movie. She didn't care about the popularity that would bring her anymore. Of course she would be extremely popular especially as she was the second female lead.
Her name and picture had been placed on the bill boards and television all over the city as the second female lead, acting in a blockbuster movie with Becca J as the screenwriter.
But she didn't care about all that now, all she cared about was being on good terms with Kol McClain. She knew deep down in her heart that things would never remain the same between them and she was deeply pained.
She lay down on her bed surfing the internet, but couldn't concentrate. She seemed to be thinking about Kol all the way as she had been on a page for the past one hour.
Frustrated, she shut her computer and collapsed on the bed exasperated. Her life was such a mess, she just hoped she could get over all these soon.
