Kol didn't pull away from the kiss, but he didn't respond to it either. Amy was surprised he didn't pull away, and so she took that opportunity to kiss him as she willed.
On a normal day, Kol wouldn't take that from anyone. He only let her have her way because he realized how bad she had wanted to do that, with the way she kissed him.
' you don't know how long I've been meaning to do that' she said with a blush after breaking the kiss. She loved every bit of it, even if he didn't reciprocate.
' Amy you're going crazy.' Kol said with a scoff getting up from the chaise lounge, with his hand running through his hair. Amy got up as well.
' You made me that way Kol.' she said with a sigh and continued
' if only you know how long I've had these feelings'
'how long you've nurtured them won't actually change anything, will it?' Kol asked
' I'm totally aware of the fact that it won't change anything. Besides, you said it yourself that you don't feel the same way... But I have one favour to ask of you...' she said. Kol only stared at her with his arms folded, without uttering a single word
' let me be your girlfriend for a month.' she said looking into his eyes.
' and why would I do that?' he asked crossing his arms
' if in a month, you don't fall for me then I'll let you be. I'll be gone from your life and I won't ever bother you again,' she said as if trying to convince him
' I'm sorry Amy but that's not gonna happen. I'm not gonna do that' he said spreading his arms
' and why is that? You know you won't regret it, right?' Amy asked leaning forward and touching Kol's chest. She wished she could just have him all to herself, her eyes filled with so much desire.
' it's getting late. Should I drive you home? Or can you drive?' he said diverting the topic and moving away from her. Amy got the message that he didn't want to talk about it any further and she sighed.
' Never mind. I can drive myself, you don't have to BOTHER about me' she said laying emphasis on the bother
' but I also want you to know that I won't give up either. It's not so easy to get rid of a feeling that have been part of you for a long while, and you know that... I'll still keep loving you. Who knows one day, you might wake up to realise that we were always meant for each other. My heart will always be open to receive you...' she said finally with so much emotion in her eyes and then turned to leave.
' Amy! ' Kol said trying to call her back but she didn't even budge, she just kept walking away without looking backwards.
Kol's hand turned into a fist which he placed underneath his nostrils as if thinking about what to do to ease the situation
He had always known Amy was in love with him. But deep down, he had prayed for this day never to come. A day where they will have to relate with each other in this manner, a day like where they will probably not understand each other. He had always prayed for that day not to come.
Now Amy's feelings have set a little rift between them. But even if it's only just a little rift, Kol was unhappy about it because Amy had been the only person outside his immediate family whom he had chosen to get this close to.
He rubbed the nape of his neck as he walked towards where his car was parked. Getting into his car, he turned on the ignition switch and drove off.

' how did it go?' Tiffany asked, coming down the stairs as soon as she saw Kol arrive
' it wasn't so serious. I've sorted it out' he said shortly walking past her towards the staircase. Right then, he had so many things to worry about and he didn't want her to be part of it. He just needed to take a rest, his body was calling for it already.
' you got me all worried. Why would you go out without security?' she said with worry written all over her face turning back to face him
' come on. You worry too much. Can't you see that I'm just fine?' he asked with a frown
' of course you'll say that. But because you weren't the one who had to worry?' she said breaking into a sob. She was infuriated by Kol's attitude. But she was scared too, she didn't know what she'd do if anything had happened to him. What if those guys were lying in wait? What if he got hurt? Then he'll just leave her too just as their parents left them? She was so frightened by the whole thoughts that she couldn't help but tear up.
Kol ran his hand through his hair, he was tired. He just had to deal with Amy, and now Tiffany?
' stop crying already.' he said patting her back in an attempt to console her. He didn't really know how to babysit
' go away! You can leave me as well, just the way they left us!' she said pushing him away from her as she sobbed even harder
' Don't say that. No one's going anywhere, I'm not leaving you' he said pulling her into his arms as he hugged her tightly. He didn't like seeing Tiffany like this, so he was deeply moved by her tears.
' I just don't want you to get hurt again. I won't be able to take it if anything happens to you again' she said still sobbing as she hugged him back.
' stop saying that. No one is gonna get hurt okay?' he said still hugging her. She sighed and nodded softly
' Come on, it's past your bedtime. You should go to sleep now' he said to her checking his wristwatch.

Kol lay on his bed, unable to sleep as it was past 2am. David had sent him a report earlier, but he was feeling just too tired to go through it. He thought about all that transpired earlier that day and he sighed
What was he gonna do? He felt a bit guilty towards Amy as he wasn't able to grant her request, though he didn't regret his decision. He couldn't imagine being with someone he had taken as a sister all these years, it would be so awkward.
Besides, agreeing to be with her might ruin the chance he's got to get Rebecca. He loved Rebecca, didn't he?
