Chapter 109 - The all-kill

The order for the event was placed at 10 pm. It was a Sunday. On Sundays, the flower shop only opened during noon at 12 since it was originally a rest day and it closed at 5 pm.

"Why?" the manager knew Yana wanted something, "What do you want?"

"Can I get the rest of the day free then? There's something important I have to attend to," Yana took on a pleading look and tried to be as innocent as possible which Luka found very amusing and endearing.

"The 29th..." the manager furrowed his brows as Yana sneakily massaged his shoulders which now made Luka burn with jealousy. Yana could feel his gaze but ignored it.

"That's next Sunday isn't it?" the manager seemed to be thinking before saying, "Hmm I haven't had a proper sleep for a while now."

Then he grinned, "Well, it's fine. Yana, you take care of the order and have the rest of the day off while Luka and Nini do the shift."

"Great! Thanks, you're the best!" Yana continued to massage the manager until he remembered he had to take care of the garden. He disappeared leaving Yana and Luka behind to present the store before it opened.

When Yana went around inspecting if everything was in order, Luka followed and casually asked, "What do you have planned next Sunday?"

Yana only rolled her eyes at his attempt to peek into her life and remained quiet. Yet this only led to Luka's mind running wild.

"If you need some money, all of mine is yours," Luka said it with such genuine seriousness that Yana almost bumped into a shelf.

"Careful!" Luka rushed to pull her back but at the last second, Yana evaded and carried on as if nothing's happened.

"Just sas if you need money."

Yana had no idea where in the world Luka got the idea from.

"I'm taking a day off, why do I need money? If I was begging for more shifts, then I would understand your nonsense," in the end Yana couldn't hold it in and had to correct Luka.

"Don't you want to go out and buy something?"

I'm not that idle…

"In that case, I should go with you. Nini can do the 5-hour shift alone. The manager is also there. So, I'm not needed. I can accompany you," Luka said it as a matter of fact.

How in the world did he come to this conclusion and even assigned himself a role to take part in her free time? Why was it suddenly normal to have Luka naturally in her life? When? Just now?

Yana swallowed down all of her disbelief and only said, "Stop being annoying."

"Ok, " surprisingly Luka quickly agreed but when Yana looked at him she saw his pout.

Stop acting like a child! Yana instantly turned around and proceeded to open the store.

Luckily it was busy until the lunch break, so Yana rarely had to interact and put up with Luka.

However, seeing him being so diligent in his work, he had a certain appealing aura around him that attracted many people. When Yana met Luka for the first time in 5 years, his bearing was completely different from now. Especially when he was in office, he came over as cool, serious and dignified with an air of aloofness.

But now he totally submitted to a domestic side Yana didn't even know he had.

It was actually kind of cute to see this gap he had. But Yana couldn't entertain these thoughts. Right now, Yana was too occupied with her job here as a florist and with her mission, so she had no time to find out more about Luka.

There were several times where Yana almost bursted out asking what his true motives were, if his advances were all just fake but then for some reason, Yana bit her tongue and left the subject untouched.

Maybe Luka would answer her truthfully or maybe he suspicion would turn out right and if they did… if Luka really was just leading her on, fooling her then...

Most of all, if Yana asked him and he really had ulterior motives, it would alert him and signal him that she was suspicious of him. So, that was why Yana always decided not to ask him.

For now, she put up with it but once she had time she would properly investigate him. Even if he was innocent, there was still something fishy about Luka and his position as the CEO.

Especially now that he freely worked as a florist! Which CEO or businessman of a major company would do that? It didn't make any sense!

Yana gave that line of thought up and went to the breakroom and braced herself. This lunch break was always a war zone between Yana defending herself and Luka finding any loopholes to attack. It was a mentally exhausting fight with neither side willing to budge.

Yana sat alone in the room eating her lunch in annoyed anticipation wondering what way to tick her off Luka came up with and she wasn't disappointed. At first glance, Luka seemed very tame. He took out his lunch and sat next to her to eat. So, for the first 10 minutes, they peacefully minded their own business.

But just when Yana lowered her guards-

BANG Luka attacked with full force! This time he neither pulled any cheap tricks like trying to bribe Yana with money nor physically tried to make himself attractive. No, this time Luka was so ambitious he straight went for the homerun.

See this bat of unyielding justified seduction? I will swing this weapon of invincibility and hit the ball of success straight into the sky full of affection.

Yes, this time, Luka straight went for the hand holding! Which woman wouldn't melt under the soft caress and gentle touch of a loving husband?

Beep. Wrong! There was no husband here in the first place! Only a leeching and clingy puppy in the disguise of a perverted male who wanted to hold hands, holding hands, before even chasing the first few bases.

Tsk Tsk Tsk.

What a noob and loser. Just as Luka's hand intertwined wonderfully, perfectly, what a match in heaven, with Yana's hand the next second he found himself flipped on the ground staring at the ceiling.

A spoon full of food was still in his mouth splashing into the air and landing back onto his face. Dazed and perplexed, an astonished expression formed on Luka's face while Yana continued to eat as if everything was normal.

Eh, what… just happened?

This time it was Yana's first K.O hit. Second kill. Triple kill… no, it was an all-kill!
