For an hour Yana walked around. Since the mansions took up a lot of space she didn't get far but she has familiarised herself with at least the core of this place which were the first 3 rectangles. The core seemed to be home to the most influential people as the mansions after that seemed less expensive and were smaller.
According to the address Marga left, the Rosaneli family lived in the core and must be quite powerful, so how come Yana has never stumbled upon this name before? It was now almost 8 pm and the sun had made way for the night to come. Yana didn't want to waste more time and finally looked for the mansion. She was here for it in the first place.
Yana circled back to where the driver dropped her off and walked a short minute before she saw the mansion. Since it was already dark, only the silhouette of her figure could be discerned.
Yana put the cap on and drew it over her face before she approached the mansion. The mansions here were all quite modern, the opposite of City M. Although City A was more ancient-looking in some parts, it was a different thing for the rich area.
The mansions here were mostly made out of glass while the ones in City M weren't. Yana walked to the other entrance of the mansion and tried to stay out of the camera's sight. Before her walk, she has memorised the position of the cameras and already formed a path in her mind to avoid being captured.
Yana walked to the front entrance and looked at the name tag on the bell. It was indeed Rosaneli. Yana got the confirmation she wanted but for some reason, she felt uneasy about this.
She has done her background check on this city and even ran it through Marie but this name has never appeared once. Yana has also checked the name Rosaneli during the lunchbreak but there was no news or anything about them.
Something was shady here but Yana didn't have the time to think about it as she heard noises coming from the mansion. She instantly hid as she snuck away back to the pavement. From behind a car, Yana watched the lights at the entrance of the mansion go on and a tall middle-aged man walked out.
He strode slowly with an air of elegance. Yana was instantly reminded of Marga, the way they held themselves were similar. This must be her husband. They really fit each other. Yana observed for a while and realised that he came to the car she was hiding behind. He didn't park the car inside the garage?
Yana quickly walked back to the pavement and pretended to be on a night walk but she moved her backpack to the front and took out the small back round listening device. As she walked past the husband, she slightly moved closer to him and stuck the transmitter in the underside of his suit without alerting him or touching him.
This was something that Yana had to practise a lot and it was a skill that was absolutely essential. The man did turn around as Yana walked past him and scrunched his forehead, simply because it was rare to see someone walking here late. He couldn't see clearly but Yana's casual clothes made him suspicious.
Most people here cared a lot about their appearance and how others viewed them, so they never walked around so casually like her. Yet he had no time to care about it. He got into his car and drove off.
The moment Yana heard the car drive away she turned around and watched it leave. Her eyes flashed briefly. Then she walked towards the exit of this area. Since this quarter was closed off no can came here.
It took Yana half an hour to reach the gate and hail a cab. The whole time, there was nothing but static coming out of the earphone and the sounds of an engine. Then as Yana got into the cab, she heard noises.
"Welcome Mr R, it's a-" so he was indeed heading to the club. Yana's lips curved and she made herself comfortable on the backseat. It took only 15 minutes by car from the rich quarter to the club but why did he take so long?
Yana did hear him stop at least three times before the engine started again. He must have gone to buy something but since Yana didn't hear much, she brushed it off. The location she put the transmitter wasn't ideal but in order for it not to be discovered, she had no choice.
The club was in the centre of the city, however, it was also located in a posh area and most of these places were void of any people especially at night.
The most head aching thing was that every building in that area had at least one bodyguard at the front entrance, so if Yana casually walked around she would stand out like a sore thumb to them.
And without an invitation, she couldn't get in. City A was more commoner hostile than City M. At least City M didn't have places that were only accessible to VIPs. Although City A didn't have them explicitly too, everyone knew that once you walked into one, you would be 'kindly' escorted out. This was a harsher city to strive and live in. It was terribly awful for the lower classes.
Since Yana couldn't just enter, she didn't need to. Instead, she had the driver pull up to a hidden alley that was behind the small area.
Once the driver left, Yana stood alone in the dark alley with no lights or anyone. It was a dead-end. A high wall kept a border between the rich area Yana wanted to get in and the 'common' place she stood in.
The contrast was too high. Yana stood in a dirty street littered with trash while on the opposite, was a white dream of a place. The streets were marbled and the buildings out of ceramic.
Yana walked to the wall and started to climb. She has done this several times in order to scout the club. She didn't traverse through the streets but instead via the roofs. The buildings in the marbled area were not much higher than three floors and had several round roofs. Yana just needed to sit on the roof of the club building on the second floor next to the window while she was shielded by the roof of the third floor.
