Chapter 101 - True Determination

Yana's fear came true. The next day at work, the whole ordeal doubled. Luka started to become relentless and that, honestly, terrified Yana.

Now, Luka didn't even wait until the lunch break. The second Yana stepped into the store, the first thing that greeted her and put a scowl on her face was Luka's overly happy smile.

Just what put him in such a good mood? But Yana wasn't curious enough to ask. She straight walked past him to the changing room. Much to Yana's dismay, Luka followed her. As if he was skipping, Luka's good mood surrounded him like a cloud which his gaze was fixated on Yana.

Yana didn't like it at all. She put her bag into the locker and pulled out the apron. Just as she was ready, Luka who remained quiet during the whole process, finally made his move. As casual as possible he leaned against the locker with a superfluous self-forced charming aura flying around him and pulled out a card from his apron and handed it to Yana.

With a cool smirk, he said, "Use it as you want."

Yana's face blanked. What the hell? She took a glance at the card before sneering and leaving the room. The loud bang of the door pitifully magnified Luka's lonely figure left behind.

Luka looked at his credit card and wondered where he went wrong. In the romance books, as Bao suggested, the ML always used his money to spoil the FL.

He cooly and collected gave the FL the card. But Luka didn't make an amateur mistake of only believing the content of the book alone, no, he used the comments as his verification.

The readers were always swooning over the ML and wished a guy would do the same to them. So how come when Luka did it, Yana didn't even bat an eye but even made fun of him?

Luka sulked for a few seconds and put his card away. Then he brightened up again. It was only one defeat. There were several more chances to come! For some reason, Luka was overly confident that his strategy worked, even though previous experiences proved them wrong every single time. It never worked on Yana but Luka still didn't give up. This was what he called- True Determination.

Meanwhile, Yana only wondered what wrong pills Luka took this morning. While Luka was still in the changing room going through his million approaches, Yana opened the shop and welcomed the first customer. Luckily, it was quite busy, so until lunch break, Luka didn't get any wrong ideas in his head, and much to his misfortune left Yana alone.

However, her work was still not comfortable, especially with Luka's burning gaze on her that obviously was anticipating something. Just thinking about it gave Yana a headache. What was going on for Luka to look at her with a serious gaze that seemed to contemplate his next decision as if it could change this whole world's fate.

But soon Yana didn't bother with Luka anymore. As it started to get busier, there was one particular customer that caught Yana's attention. Clad in brand-clothes and high heels, hair tied in a bun, wearing sunglasses, a woman in her possibly 40s exuded an elegant yet arrogant aura. Sometimes rich people liked to come to the shop instead of sending someone or place an order through the phone or internet.

Yana quickly put a pot of flowers down and went to a woman.

"Welcome to the store. Do you need help or would you like to look around?" Yana smiled at the woman, friendly and sunny. Although the woman didn't take off her sunglasses, Yana felt the woman's eyes seizing her up.

The posture of the female was very straight. She clutched a handbag in front of her stomach and her jacket was draped over her shoulders. After the woman got a good look at Yana, she continued to look around the store before nodding.

"I've heard flowers can convey meanings, so they make wonderful presents," the woman spoke slowly like she was thinking about something else but her voice was sharp.

"Yes, flowers are an all-time favourite option for gifts," Yana nodded and led the woman around, "May I ask who the flower is for? For a loved one? Family? Friends? Guests? For business?"

Yana listed a few options as the woman trailed behind her and only after a while answered, "It's neither of those. But if I have to say, it is someone who undoubtedly will become close in the future."

"Then perhaps a new family member?" Yana wasn't sure what the woman meant by that, so Yana tried to be positive by thinking that it might be a sister or brother in law. But the way the woman said it felt like she was displeased by the fact she needed to be close to that person.

Yana found it strange but brushed it off.

"You could…say it like this," the woman's tone didn't change. It was still flat with only a tinge of emotion hidden that failed to convey. Yana was sure that if she were to take off her glasses, her emotions were easy to read.

"Then what kind of meaning do you want to convey to them?" Yana stopped and turned the woman.

Now for the first time, the woman showed a smile, "Be cautious."

"Huh?" reflected in the women's black sunglasses was Yana's surprised face. All of a sudden, the surroundings quieted down and only Yana and the woman were present.

Yana had to admit, the woman was quite capable of exerting pressure and dominance.

"The meaning, I'd like a flower to convey is 'be cautious'," although the woman said this, Yana felt that 'be cautious' was directed at her. This only showed that this woman wasn't someone easy. She was complicated and this intrigued Yana.

"Is it like a warning?"

The woman's smile deepened, "You got it right. It is."

Yana was even more curious. Which person would come to the flower shop to buy flowers to give others a warning? A threat? Judging by how this woman held herself and her appearance, Yana felt like she hit the goldmine she kept missing. Yana needed to dig deeper to find the reason behind it.

"I understand," Yana continued to smile brightly as if what the woman requested wasn't anything out of the ordinary, "We have a flower that might suit what you requested. Here they are. They are called Aconite. As pretty as they are, they also symbolise hatred."
