Chapter 85 - Help

W-What was going on? None of them understood. Why was this person so unfazed?

"Why are you being so quiet? Didn't you hear? Kill them now, I don't care, if that's all then I'm hanging up," with that Yana really hung up on Sam, "You know what to do right?"

Yana turned to Mr K and M but somehow they didn't feel like she was talking to them.

Yana took her phone into her hand without giving Mr K or M any attention anymore. Yet both of them were finally sure. This woman was not to be messed with!

She knew exactly that they would really harm the children yet she didn't even bat an eye and ordered to kill them.

Who was she? She also had no scruples torturing a person, of course, she wouldn't care for human lives!

Then why was she working for an orphanage? Why did she oppose the three companies and make an enemy out of them? The more the two managers rocked their heads, the more they realised just how terrifying and unfathomable Yana was. Just what was her goal?

On the other side, Yana didn't bother with their trembling bodies and fearful gazes. All their prior confidence and triumphant smugs have completely disappeared leaving nothing but empty shells behind.

Yana was more interested in her phone. She didn't want to call this person and let them see this situation but she needed immediately someone who helped her to take care of it. She couldn't do everything alone, no one could, that was why connections were so important in life.

In the end, Yana still called him. Someone she was sure that he wouldn't question her if she told him to keep this a secret. He didn't seem to be clean either.

Yana didn't have to wait long. Not even 10 minutes later, the doorbell rang.

He really sent his men so fast? Yana was pleasantly surprised. Since Yana couldn't trust him fully she had to wait until they arrived and witnessed herself. Who knew if they didn't mess up or let the managers escaped?

During that time Mr K's phone rang incessantly. Yana was sure that Sam was scared out of his wits not calculating that Yana acted like this. But Yana continued to ignore his calls while she taped Mr K's and M's mouths shut, even though they weren't talking anyways as they were lethargic.

However, when Yana opened the door she was surprised, "You came personally?"

"Of course," Luka's voice was out of breath as he sized Yana up, "Nothing happened to you, right?"

Yana only shook her head and then saw a few men in black behind Luka. She didn't question and only led Luka to the bedroom.

"Oh," was the only thing Luka said as he found the two managers tied up. One fully clothed and the other one in his underwear.

"Did he do something to you?" Luka pointed at Mr K with a murderous look.

Was this seriously what he was wondering about?

"Nope," Yana wanted to quickly get to business but Luka already discovered the bunny mask and frowned, "What were you doing?"

"Nothing."

"What was she doing with you?" this time a certain chill made it into Luka's tone as he directed his words to Mr K who instantly froze. Luka wasn't dumb and could count 1 and 1 together but Mr K shook his head and tears formed in his eyes again.

He wanted to scream injustice. He wasn't the one who asked Yana to dress up as a bunny girl!

No wait, he was in the wrong anyway! He shouldn't have asked for a bunny girl in the first place! Although he didn't do it today!

Despite Luka's obvious killing intent, he didn't rip off the tape to hear Mr K speak. He felt like if he heard his voice, Luka would get even more irritated.

Yana was right. Luka was neither shocked nor questioned her but for some reason, she couldn't help but ask, "You're not surprised? Suspicious?"

"Should I?" Luka approached her and smirked, "Good job. When you said you'll take care of it alone, I was worried, but I'm at ease now that you've managed this feat. I'm proud of you."

This jerk. Yana frowned, why did his words sound so condescending? On one hand, Luka was really thrilled that Yanwa was alright but on the other, he just wanted to tease her too.

It was fun seeing her reaction. But Luka couldn't lie when he said he was indeed shocked at first but suppressed it.

Although 5 years have passed, Luka would've never imagined that Yana became… this kind of person. He was now more than curious.

"Save your breath."

Luka saw that Yana was irritated and said, "Well, you didn't question me either."

He called in his men. Yana really had no idea what was going in Luka's head but only said, "All people in power have their secrets."

"I'm not like them," Luka's answer came quickly.

Yana sneered. As if anyone who had money, fame and power would really be as good as they let on. Yana didn't want to pursue this topic and quickly continued, "You know what to do, right? I've got something else, so take care of them for me."

"Don't worry, I have Bao talk to the police and press and set up a public appearance for them. Now that I think about it, weren't there three?"

Yana put her hair in a ponytail and picked up her bag, "That's why I'm going to catch the third. I'll leave the rest to you."

Hearing this, Luka instantly became worried, "Alone? I'll help-"

"Luka, do I look like I need help with a mere one person?" Yana glanced at the managers who clearly had some faint strangling marks, "Cover them up."

Then she left the place. She pulled out a Bluetooth earphone and put it in her ear while she hailed another cab, "Marie, have you got the location?"

"I swear Yana! The whole time I was so damn tense! Tense, I tell you! I was worried your ass would cut the call short or infuriate the other side to end the call before I could trace them back! You know why? You want me to remind you of the past few-"

"I've changed and grown. They were merely practices," Yana wasn't pleased that Marie still thought of her past skills.

"They were all real situations though!"

"Just send me the location."

"Ok, also thank me too! I'm overworking for you. Also, some men were sent to the apartment, so no worries about the kids."

"Good."

"Hey, where's my gratitude?"

"Thanks, Marie, I'll bring you some of your favourite pralines, next time, ok?"

"Next time, next time," Marie muttered absent-mindedly, "Just send them per post! Who knows when you come back, dammit!"

"Ok, ok, got it," Yana sighed as she received the coordinates and told the driver.

"By the way, are you sure you want to do this alone? 100% they got back up."

"So? I'll be fine."

"Hey aren't you too confident?" relentless tapping came from Marie's side while Yana stared out of the window and briefly closed her eyes.

"Like I said, this is nothing. It's my job. Just send someone to clean up for me, ok? Once I get Seli and the third manager, I'll leave, so the mess has to be taken care of."

"Tsk, I really need to get paid more," Marie said but actually laughed, "Roger that."
