"You managed to come back?" Luka didn't look up from the table as he went through several documents.
"It seemed like you were hoping to see me being skinned alive in the room," Yana walked to the chair at Luka's table and sat down.
Luka briefly looked at her before going back to his work, "Of course not. You should be able to deal with that much."
Yana's eyebrows wanted to jump out of her face and choke him, "I don't know how many times I gotta tell you but I've got neither a degree nor work experience, and you expect me to develop all of that shit on the spot?"
"You shouldn't have dropped out of uni then."
"Ah, I see. Fuck you too," Yana snorted and crossed her legs as Luka dropped the pen and sized Yana up.
"You've become quite crude."
"And you even more fucking annoying," Yana smiled innocently at Luka before she looked around the office. It looked the same as outside. The huge glass window behind Luka's table where the whole skyline became visible, the ebony walls and a black carpet on the ground.
"So, how did it go?" Luka's expression softened seeing Yana curiously inspecting her surrounding. Playing the bad guy for a while longer would satisfy her. Luka didn't mind. As long as he could keep her by his side, it was fine for him to be hated by her.
"Now, you're interested?" Yana's mocking eyes met his smile and she was taken aback for a second but quickly recollected herself. She really had no idea what was going on in his mind. She knew he had evil intentions but sometimes he gave her mixed signals like right now.
"If you mess up, you can kiss goodbye to the orphanage," Luka silently chuckled, seeing Yana contort her face. Veins littered her forehead. What was she thinking? He was a jerk through and through.
"Don't' worry, I've done my job well," Yana smiled.
Two can play this game. Then Yana's smile widened, "Ah, by the way, boss, I've told them your company bought the whole surrounding land of the orphanage. I hope you don't mind. Since you put me in charge and said my words are absolute and gave me the green light to do whatever I want, obviously you got to make it come true, right?"
Luka's small smirk instantly dropped, "You-"
"Are you going back on your words? If the managers found out I bluffed, it wouldn't do good for M.M's reputation, right? And oh, I punched Mr K, so you've to settle that matter too."
Luka narrowed his eyes. The Yana he knew and the Yana in front of him were two completely different people- what happened back then and during the time she left?
What happened in those 5 years?
"Alright," surprisingly Luka complied easily.
"What?" Yana didn't expect him to be so chill about it.
"It's just a little bit of money and if you punched Mr K, it means he deserved it. I'll let my assistant take care of the matter," Luka nodded as if this was terribly normal to him.
What? Yana couldn't keep up. The momentum she had was just blown away like this. She thought she one-upped Luka but instead, it didn't even faze him the slightest bit. What the hell? She made him lose quite the money and even hit someone from another company, although he did deserve it, but Luka didn't care at all!
Yana couldn't keep up with this development but quickly saved her expression.
"That's great then, I'm glad you can understand. Wow, M.M's truly amazing," Yana mocked and then stood up, "I'll be back with a proposal of my own but I guess I gotta keep working with these clowns."
"Yes, it's the first project with other companies. Use them to the fullest."
"Heh," Yana laughed. In other words, she could exploit them. Although Yana still didn't know what Luka's goal was, he did help her a bit, so he wasn't that evil.

In the underground parking lot of M.M, Mr K, S and M sat in Mr K's car. Right after Mr K was punched and then all three of them were threatened by M.M, they had to comply and defeated trotted to the car.
Even if M.M had Yana's back, Mr K wouldn't let this humiliation stand. He was quite influential himself while that wrench was just someone who climbed into beds and sold her body.
"Damn!" Mr K kicked the inside of his car.
"Calm down, we still are on the project. So we've got other chances," Mr S put his hands together and smiled.
Mr K growled. No matter how he saw Mr S, he reminded him of a snake but it was better to have Mr S on his side than as his enemy, "You're right."
"We were careless. Who knew that the brat of a CEO would put a girl in charge of a project that involves three other companies? He's looking down on us," Mr M lit a cigarette and spit out of the window. What pissed Mr M off the most were youngsters climbing to an influential spot.
He was already in his 50s but still a senior manager. Although he was quite respected in his company, Mr M knew he couldn't be anything more than a mere manager. His bitterness and frustrations thus were directed at the young and accomplished ones.
"You're right, you're right," Mr S' eyes curved as he tried to kiss up to Mr M, "For now it's best to not tell our superiors. All three of our proposals were rejected, we've to find another way to put our plan into motion."
"Ha!" Mr K spat and his chubby belly moved up and down with his rage, "What find another way? There's only one! We have to get rid of that wrench. I don't even know what the fuck an arrogant girl like her's even doing in such a place!"
"I agree," surprisingly Mr M supported such a vicious method.
Mr S thought Mr M would be more upright but Mr S couldn't retort. It was a shame since Yana was quite pretty but in order to protect their own jobs, Yana had to grovel on the streets for them.
