Matt's pov-
"What" we questioned at the same time.
Could he feel this too, this overwhelming sense of safety. After a while of staring at each other we noticed that every one was staring at us. We look over at them with a questioning gase. Hannah looked at me knowingly. I use the pack link to ask her why she is looking at me in this way.
"How do you feel when you look at him?" she asked through the link.
"Strangely calm and a sense of longing." I reply.
"Sounds to me like he is your mate."
"You really think so? I can tell he is not a werewolf. I think he may be a vampire. Can that happen?"
"Yes, I really think he is your mate. Also if he actually is a vampire I guess it can."
I slowly nod my head. I see him walking over to a man who I believe is named Nick. They talk for a while and then the man i think to be my mate made a small nod and walked over to me.
" May I speak to you alone?" He asked me.
"I guess." I reply.
We walk into the backyard and sit on the swing. After a moment of silence he started taking. "I think you are my blood mate."
"So you are a vampire as I thought. I believe you to be my mate as well." I reply.
" I never guessed that my blood mate would be a werewolf."
" I did not think my mate would be a vampire ether."
" I don't believe I ever caught your name."
"It is Matthew but my friends call me Matt. What is yours?"
"Benjamin but my friends call me benji."
We sat in content silence for a while before we decided that we would talk about it all just a little bit latter. We went back in the house to find out that Hannah and Nick told everyone that we were childhood friends and had not seen each other in a while. Everyone believed this because of our reactions and the fact that our actual childhood friends told them.
We finally started the party. First, we watched a movie while eating pizza. I found myself leaning up against Benji without even a thought. After the movie was over we all got up and sang happy birthday.Then, we ate cake and they went to go open their presents Izzy went first. She got some paint brushes, a new sketch pad and watercolor markers from her friends and her brother got her a new pair of overalls.
Zack opened his presents next. He got a stuffed wolf from me because his favorite animal is a wolf this lead to Nick, Benji and Hannah to laugh about a wolf giving someone a wolf plush. The others looked at them weirdly due to the fact they all seemed to burst into laughter for no reason. Zack moved on and got a worlds best teacher mug and a big fuzzy blanket. from his sister he got a beanbag chair.
After the presents we decided to play spin the bottle. Sam spun the bottle first with it landing on benji.
Sam said, " truth or dare"
"I chose truth because it is often leads to more fun."
"Do you like Matt?"
"Very much so." I blushed a little while everyone else just awed. We moved on and it was Benji's turn to spin the bottle. It landed on Tyler.
"Truth or dare?"
"I dare you to take of your shirt and give it to you crush."
"Alright." Tyler took off his shirt and handed it to Izzy. Then he sat right back downstairs in his spot with a completely straight face but, I could tell he was nervous about it because his heat was beating quite loudly.
We found out quite a few thing about each other and had some fun dares too. Like what happen with zack he was dared to hit himself in the face with a plate full of whipped cream. It was getting rather late so everyone decided to go home. I asked Benji if i could ride in his car so we could talk. He said I could so I told Hannah that i was going with Benji. She was so happy that I had finally found my mate.
I walked over to Benji's car and sat down in the passengers seat. Benji sat in the drivers and started to dive.
"How old are you?" Benji asked.
"I am almost 21"
"So you waited almost a year just for me?"
"No, I was just waiting for a chicken to fall from the sky." Benji pouted a little bit, "I am just kidding. of course I waited for you."
Benji cheered up right away but still told me he was sorry for making me wait. As we drove we got to know may things about each other. I now know his favorite color is black and he loves anime. he now knows that I cannot stand sweet potatoes and my favorite color is purple among many other things. When we got to my house we told each other good night and he gave me a quick peck on the cheek. I was stunned for a second but then I kissed his cheek and headed inside.
