"What is a Murkrow doing here?"
Arthur examined the Murkrow in front of him and fell into thought.
According to what he knows, Murkrow was an avian Pokemon whose head resembles a witch's hat, and his tail resembles the bristles of a broom.
It was one of the Pokemon that he used to like due to its strong dual typing of Dark and flying, and it even has high attack stats, which would grow more once it would evolve into a Honchkrow.
At the same time, he was really impressed by Paul's Honchkrow in the anime.
According to what he remembered, his Honchkrow was really powerful, even outspeeding a Dragonite once. That's why he still has a deep impression of Murkrow and Honchkrow
But Murkrow are not found in Kanto normally. They were mostly found in Johto and Sinnoh regions, rarely seen in a place like Kanto.
At the same time, they would travel in groups only, and a lone Murkrow was more suspicious. Arthur can only think that the Murkrow in front of him had separated from his group when they were passing through Kanto and had gotten injured.
He probably had no choice but to live in the Viridian forest until he recovered, but his luck was really bad.
He had somehow gotten himself riled up with a Pinsir and now was in a critical situation —Arthur thought, glancing at the blood on Murkrow's wings.
The injured Murkrow could not fly properly, much less attack the imposing Pinsir who was continuously using horn attack on him.
'That Murkrow will surely die soon.'
Arthur thought and frowned.
Pokemon getting killed in the wild was a normal thing in the world, and strong eating the weak was the rule of the Pokemon world, so Arthur wasn't much bothered that Pinsir was going to kill the Murkrow.
But there was a thought roaming in his mind.
'Murkrow is the flying type best suited for me.'
He was not much interested in catching a Pidgey or a Spearow and he would need a flying type Pokemon eventually. After all, having a flying type Pokemon was a necessity for most trainers.
It just has too many uses, and it can help to escape many dangers in the wild.
Arthur didn't hate the thought of having one, but the Murkrow in front of him was injured, and he would need to readjust his plans If he decided to catch him.
It would at least take a week for the Murkrow to heal.
'Let's check the status first.'
He sighed and focused on the Murkrow, and soon, a transparent window appeared in front of him.

'A green aptitude Murkrow!'
Arthur widened his eyes, seeing the status of the Murkrow. A green aptitude Pokemon was hard to come, and he had already made contact with two of them.
But he soon calmed down after seeing that the green colour on Murkrow's status was really light. It seemed like it was fading away and would quickly degrade to orange.
'The Murkrow is losing his innate aptitude because of injuries and lack of proper training.'
Arthur frowned, thinking about it.
A Pokemon can improve or degrade its aptitude depending on various factors. The most common one of these factors is injuries and lack of proper training.
That's why trainers are advised to properly train their Pokemon, or else the talent of their Pokemon would be lost.
'Although I would need to change my plans a little, it won't be bad to catch this Murkrow.'
Arthur thought and finally decided to get the Murkrow.
The Murkrow was already in a critical situation, and it didn't seem like he would be able to go on for long.
That's why Arthur hurried and quickly scanned the Pinsir. After all, it would be foolish to attack him mindlessly, and Charmander still didn't have much experience in battle.
This Pinsir would probably be tough to beat with his current stats.

Just like Arthur had thought, Pinsir was a strong Pokemon. Not only did he have high stats, but his move set was also good too.
But it was still a single bug, and Arthur had Charmander.
"Charmander, attack the Pinsir with ember. Be careful not to hurt the Murkrow." Arthur ordered, and as if he was waiting for the command, Charmander leaped out of the bushes and spewed out small balls of fires.
Pinsir, who was preparing another Horn attack suddenly felt burning sensations all over his body and took two steps back.
The sudden attack had angered him, and it was even a fire-type move, something which he hated the most in the world. Pain burst out all over his body as he glared at Charmander.
"Pinsir!" He roared towards Charmander as anger took over his mind.
He was a local tyrant in this area, and he would always bully weak Pokemon for his enjoyment, but now, someone had disturbed him when he was doing the thing he enjoyed the most.
How could he let it go?
Pinsir took a deep breath and focused energy all over his body, steadily improving his critical hit ratio. Then, he rushed towards Charmander while using a horn attack.
But Arthur had already prepared for it.
"Mankey, go use Karate chop!"
Out of nowhere, Arthur called out Mankey, who ambushed Pinsir as he was rushing towards Charmander.
He had already gained a degree of command over Mankey, and it was a Pokemon that was always ready for battle. Moreover, there was no rule that says that you can't use two Pokemon against wild Pokemon.
"Mankk!" "Charr!"
Both Charmander and Mankey stood in front of the Murkrow like they were protecting him.
Facing this unexpected situation, Pinsir didn't know what to do. He was feeling pain all over his body, and his eyes were bloodshot from the anger that he was experiencing.
Arthur didn't care about anything though.
His goal was to protect Murkrow and defeat the Pinsir. It doesn't matter how he does it until he is successful in catching Murkrow.
