Saturday, 9:00 am.
The blinding sun rays coming through the opened window illuminated the room adorned with various paintings and sketches everywhere and oil paint smell and collapsing against the woman with olive skin, her jet black hair tied up in a messy bun while her brown eyes focused on the canvas in front of her.
She continued to paint as she portrayed her imagination on the canvas with her plump lips stretched in a relaxed smile.
"Ria! come out! breakfast is ready!" Ilaria heard her father, Peter shout from the kitchen.
"Coming!" she shouted back as she put away her brush and looked at her almost complete painting.
she wiped her hands with a napkin and walked out of her studio to the adjacent restroom.
She got freshened up quickly and jogged towards the kitchen while untying her hair from the bun leaving them to rest against her upper back.
"G' morning dad." she walked into the kitchen and kissed her dad on the cheek and took a seat beside him.
"Morning. Where were you up again last night? There's some paint on your hair." Her dad asked as they started to eat their breakfast.
She unconsciously touched her hair as she replied, " I thought it got off and yeah I couldn't sleep last night, more like morning. woke up at 3:45 am today."
Her father nodded as he talked further, " Got any plans for today?"
"Going to meet up with Lori and Jane for lunch. They want to tell me something important," she responded.
"Oh is it something serious?" Her dad asked with a little frown on his face.
Ilaria shook her head as she replied, "Don't think so, they sounded pretty excited about it."
Peter nodded as he said, "okay, have a good time. You deserve it." and got back to his food.
Ilaria softly smiled at his words and resumed eating her food as well.
After finishing up their breakfast Ilaria helped her father by clearing up the table and washing the dishes.
She walked back up to her room after completing her chore. she walked into her room and laid down on her bed with a bounce as she texted her friends to confirm their meet-up.

After texting Lori and Janelle she decided to rest for a while before getting ready for today's schedule.
Lori Bell, Janelle Joseph, and Ilaria have been best friends since eighth grade. When Ilaria and her dad moved from Arizona to New York, the three instantly clicked when she joined their school. Since then they have been inseparable throughout their high school and college life.
Now Ilaria was an art teacher at the age of 25 at the same high school she graduated from. On the other hand, her other two pals took up different careers.
While Lori was doing her internship at her parent's hospital, Janelle took over her parent's bakery business.

She decided on a green floral midi dress and some short heels. She got freshened up and wore the dress after doing her daily make-up. She slipped into her heels and walked downstairs to the living room where her dad was watching the television.
"You look lovely as always Darlin'," Peter told her daughter as she smiled and thanked him.
Just as she sat on the couch her phone went off. She opened her phone to see a text from Lori.
-LORI

"Well, I'll get going, dad. take your medicines on time," she said putting her phone in her small handbag while walking towards the main door.

Ilaria smiled back and said, "Love you too. later."
She walked out of her house to the car waiting in front of her house that belonged to Lori. Lori waved at her friend as got close to her car. Ilaria got inside the car and they both greeted each other.
"hello Ria, looking beautiful as ever." Lori complimented her friend as she put her seatbelt on.
"Thanks, Lo, look at you though, you're glowing. Did something happen?," Ilaria asked her friend on seeing her ardent smile.
Lori was a beautiful lady with her dark honey-like skin, long curly raven hair with protruding Champagne eyes.

As Lori and Ilaria got in they were welcomed by the comfy feeling and the smell of freshly brewed coffee.
They scanned the café and found their friend Janelle waving at them to come over. They smiled and walked towards the table.
"Hey, Jane!" Ilaria and Lori greeted their platinum-haired and blue almond-shaped eyed loving friend.
"Hello! I already ordered your usual for you guys," she said as they hugged each other and sat down around their table.
"Thanks, Jane. So how's the bakery going?" Ilaria asked her friend starting a conversation.
"oh, it's going good. we recently got a big order for a wedding cake for some big businessman's wedding. I'm so excited!" Janelle exclaimed.
Ilaria and Lori smiled at their friend's enthusiasm. "that's such good news jane we're happy for you." Ilaria said as Lori nodded
in agreement.
Jane and Lori shared a look and smiled secretly. " well we have one more good news for you." Lori said as she and Jane leaned on the table with wide smiles on their faces. Ilaria raised her eyebrow at this and leaned on the table as well.
"Well, ladies, what's the big news?" Ilaria asked as the waiter walked to them with their order. They thanked him and he got to serving another table.
Her friends looked at each other sharing the same secretive smile and yelled at the same time.
"We're going to Thailand!" Lori blurted.
"For a girls getaway!" Janelle explained further shouting enthusiastically.
Ilaria looked at her friends with her jaw dropped to the floor. shocked.
"What!? Really!?" Ilaria cried out. while her friends nodded their heads jovially.
"Yes!" Lori and Janelle shouted at the same time.
"Table 9, Ladies keep your voices a little lower, please." The worker on the counter called out from the mike.
The girls slowly looked around the café to see a few tables giving them complaining looks as they sheepishly smiled and muttered an apology to them before celebrating silently.
