Fate knew she needed to hurry. If she wasted any more time, then the chances of the King Sand Scorpion showing up would rise. Thinking quickly as she scanned her skill list and decided to try out her two defensive skills {Earth Wall} and {Wind Aura}. {Earth Wall} was just as it sounded. It would create a wall of earth to shield the caster from an incoming attack. As for {Wind Aura} it was more of an armor that surrounded the caster. It would use wind to deflect incoming attacks.
"Here goes nothing!" Fate turned her body and charged at the sand scorpion. This seemed to have enraged the sand scorpion because it let out a shrill cry as it got ready to rip Fate into shreds. As Fate got closer to it, the sand scorpion swung down with its large pincher-like claws trying to capture Fate. But to its surprise, just as the claw was about to grab hold of Fate, Fate disappeared from its sight. It did not take long for the sand scorpion to figure out what happened and quickly used its tail to strike underneath itself.
Fate was currently sliding under the scorpion when she spotted the unarmored flesh of the scorpion. Seeing such tender flesh, Fate did not hesitate as she stabbed her sword directly into it. At the same time, she cast {Earth Wall} four times in front of her as well as casting {Wind Aura} on herself. She did not cast the four {Earth Walls} one in front of the other but instead on top of each other, causing the sand scorpion to be lifted up into the air. With the tail speeding towards her, it actually completely flipped the sand scorpion in the air, making it fall flat on its back.
Tightly holding on to the hilt of her sword that was stabbed deep into the underbelly of the sand scorpion, Fate followed right along with the scorpion, landing on top of its belly with a big smile on her face. "Now… Let's see how you will stab me with your stinger now!" Fate snorted as she sliced downwards with her sword creating a large gash in the sand scorpion. Green blood sprayed out, covering Fate. Fate lifted her hand and licked the blood to see what it tasted like and was quite surprised to find out it didn't taste half bad. "Not bad, not bad. No wonder your meat goes for a high price on the market."
Sand scorpion meat was a delicacy on other planets since the environments that they lived in were usually very dangerous. The higher the level of the sand scorpion, the better the meat. But even this low-level scorpion would gain a decent amount of money if Fate harvested the meat and brought it back.
The sand scorpion flailed back and forth, struggling to right itself. It kept sending its tail at Fate over and over, but because the bones and muscles for its main tail movement were now pinned to the ground, the attacks were much slower and easier for Fate to handle. Fate was currently standing deep inside a large hole she dug into the sand scorpion's flesh. As she continued to dig, more blood flooded out of the wound. The sand scorpion's movements began to slow until they finally came to a stop. She was not digging to kill the sand scorpion. She was digging to get to its heart which was closer to the top part of its body under the hard armor. The sand scorpion just happened to be alive while she was hunting for treasure within its body. "Found it!"
Fate reached down and saw the large heart that was the size of a basketball and licked her lips. "I wonder how many free [Status Points] you will give me!"
While Fate was busy enjoying a little snack, Jean was still tanking the other sand scorpions. When she looked over and saw Fate standing on top of the overturned sand scorpion soaked from head to toe in green blood holding a basketball-sized heart that was still beating in her hand, Jean did not know whether to laugh or cry.
"Master, if you're done over there, can you kill the next one?" Jean yelled over, grabbing Fate's attention.
Fate, who had just sunk her teeth into the heart in her hand, looked over and smiled cheekily as she said: "They seem to like you more than me, though. Give me a minute to eat this and raise my strength stat!"
"Alright!" Jean laughed as she jumped up into the air and slammed both scorpions to the ground using her wind blades.
Fate had wanted to savor this unique taste in her mouth, but since she needed to hurry, she quickly gobbled up the heart in her hand, which in the end gave her 33 new [Status Points].

Fate felt as if her whole body was renewed. She pulled her sword out from the dead scorpion and turned her attention to the two sand scorpions pressed to the ground by Jean. Tapping her foot, she jumped up into the air towards the two sand scorpions. Fate was surprised to see that with her newfound strength she was able to launch herself high into the air. She soared over to the two sand scorpions with ease, landing on the back of one of them.
"Jean, keep it held down. I need to test something." Fate yelled over to Jean.
"Roger!" Jean answered back.
Fate took this chance where she did not need to worry about being attacked and walked over to where the tail was. With the sword in her hand, she swung it sideways at the armor plating that covered the tail with all her strength. Unlike last time where she was repelled, her sword sliced cleanly through the armor, severing it from its body. "This will work!" Happy with her results, Fate quickly decapitated the scorpion she was standing on and dug out its heart, and ate it.
