Chapter 14 - The Victim.

"Vampires!" Matheus said quietly. Hermes looked at Matheus in silence and was quite surprised. Matheus approached Hermes, then Hermes' personal bodyguard crouched down.

"Look" Matheus pointed at the circular array of teeth and the four canines stuck in the unknown woman's neck. "This is a Vampire tooth array!" Obviously Matheus. But Hermes still doesn't believe it, because, it's not just vampires who hunt their prey by sucking blood. But werewolves like him and Matheus also suck blood and even the flesh of their prey.

Hermes thought for a moment. He noticed the arrangement of the bite marks on the unknown woman's neck. "But, it could be that the werewolf nation and we know our nation also sucks the blood and flesh of its prey," Hermes speculated. He glared at Matheus, "is it true that there are only two werewolves left?" Hermes asked doubting Matheus' words.

"You doubts my words, Your Highness?" Matheus asked returning the gaze. Hermes stood up, looked away and looked back at the corpse.

"I just thought that she was--"

"Sorry, what really happened to that woman?" The woman asked, cutting Hermes off. The two men turned. "Should we go to the police?" The woman said again.

Hermes smiled and approached the woman. But the woman refused to be approached by Hermes. She stepped back, frowning. "What? Why are you looking at me like that? Is there something wrong with me?" asked the woman feeling scared.

"No, nothing's wrong. I just wanted to take you home!" Hermes suggested.

"What?" The woman furrowed her brow. She was not used to being accompanied by men. "No, you don't have to! I can go home alone. Excuse me!" Claudia said, she turned around and hurried home. Hermes smiled, he watched Claudia continue to walk. Then, he returned to the woman's corpse.

"Matheus, settle this matter immediately, I will follow that woman!" Hermes said he looked in a hurry.

Mathes stood up, and rushed to the end of the hall. "Prince, don't act stupid! It's too dangerous," shouted Matheus. However, it seems in vain. Hermes had disappeared from before him. "Damn, now what should I do," thought Matheus. There wasn't much he could do.

"Apparently, the vampires have arrived here!" Matheus said once again. He then looked for a sharp log around where he was and then..

Jleb.

Matheus stabbed into the heart of the corpse of the unknown woman. Before long, the woman's corpse turned to ashes. "Calm down in heaven!" Matheus said cleaning his palms. "I won't let your nation continue to thrive!" Matheus left the place. However, he didn't realize that a pair of eyes kept looking at him from the top of the building. Eyes are not usually owned by humans.

A bright red color with a grinning smile. The fangs also look scary. "Werewolves!" The man said it was full of mystery.

Hermes galloped between the high-rise buildings. Jump from one building to another. From low to tall buildings. Running after the car Claudia was in. Then, Hermes took the steps to jump.

"Uhuuuuh!" He screamed very happy. He Jump and trying his adrenaline, and...

Bruuk.

Landed right on top of the bus roof. For a moment the passengers looked at the roof of the bus. Luckily Hermes immediately fell silent. Sit sweetly while looking at the beauty of the night illuminated by the lights of the building.

The wheels of the bus keep turning. Stop at each stop according to the bus route. Claudia got off when she got to the last stop. Hermes watched Claudia briefly from the bus roof. Before long he jumped off the roof of the bus as the bus was about to continue its journey. Hermes walked leisurely, keeping his distance so that Claudia would not suspect and be afraid of her.

Hermes' footsteps stopped when Claudia entered the house. Then he smiled and went back home. His face was very happy to be reunited with Claudia.

Claudia, she stopped walking when the house was very chaotic. All scattered on the floor. Really messy. "What is this? Why is my house a mess?" Claudia said, she then thought of her sick mother. "M-om!" She shouted and ran into the room of the woman who gave birth to her.

Claudia opened her eyes wide. Her mother is dead. The situation was the same as the woman she saw in the dead end alley. There was a bite wound on her neck. Lying stiff. Legs back slowly. She shook her head, as if she couldn't believe what had happened to her sick mother. Dad hasn't been home in a long time. For almost two months the man had not visited her and her mother.

"Mom!" Claudia ran outside. Then shouted for help to the neighbors. This incident caused a stir in Claudia's home environment. And it has become a scene all over the country.

The ambulance arrived. The neighbors were curious to see what was going on with Claudia's mother. The reporters didn't want to miss looking for news for the main headlines of newspapers.

Claudia sat up in shock. Some questions were only answered with a nod and a shake of her head. In her head now there are only images after images that describe her mother's last condition. Exactly the same as the wound experienced by the woman she found earlier. Bite marks.

"We, the police, will investigate your mother's case. We ask for your help so that you will answer if there are questions that we will ask later!" The policeman said. He tucked a small notebook into his trouser pocket. "Thank you for the help!" The Policeman said and left Cludia to calm herself down.

Claudia remembered the one word she had heard from Hermes' lips. "Vampire, is this really the work of a vampire?" Claudia said taking her cell phone in her bag. She started typing the keywords 'Vampire bite marks.' Claudia wrote. The phone screen displays a lot of news as well as pictures. Claudia started to open the pictures of vampire bite marks one by one. She studied every array of bite marks on her mother's neck.

"Apparently, the young man was right! But how did he know about vampires?" Claudia's inner words became curious. "I must meet the young man again and ask about this terrible creature," She said determinedly.
