Chapter 25 - Reality- Part One

Yesterday with Lucien was like a fairy tale that I didn't want to end but like every Cinderella's story when the clock struck midnight reality hits and the fairy tale ends.

My clock struck midnight when Lucien asked about the locket on my neck, I was scared he recognized it because his mother has a matching one but he didn't link it together, just commented it was a popular locket because he has seen something like it.

Despite what happened between us, we still can't be together.

I am still a werewolf and he is still a vampire.

Werewolves and Vampires still hate each other.

He is still engaged to Freya.

He doesn't know who my parents are and he can't know until I have cleared my mother's name.

All these things revolted around my head as I lie on his chest and he plays with my hair.

I abruptly told him to leave because it seems like everything is against our being together.

Why my wolf chose him? I don't know.

He argued about leaving at first until I successfully chased him away.

Why me? I asked out loud and of course, no one answered.

I cried myself to sleep.

I woke up to clean the vaginal blood off the sheets and myself. I feel sour all over.

I have no regrets that Lucien is my first.

After I was done I brought out the spellbook and started reading. There are so many spells there; protection spells, defensive spells, disappearing spells, healing spells, simple spells like tying knots, making objects float, changing the color of something, camouflaging something and so many spells all written in an ancient language, I think Latin.

I will start with changing the color of something, I took hold of my red purse and whisper the spell, and thought of the color green I wanted to change it to, following the book's instructions.

"Et mutare vocem meam audiunt Collaudentur veterrimi Collaudentur color ad ea quae mihi in manibus tangere."

I waited nothing happened. I said it once more.

"Et mutare vocem meam audiunt Collaudentur veterrimi Collaudentur color ad ea quae mihi in manibus tangere."

Still nothing. In frustration dropped the purse on the bed and shouted the spell and the purple sheet changed color to green.

Wow! It worked even though it was the purse's color I intended to change not the sheet.

What did I do differently that made it worked? I wondered.

Was it my frustrations?

Do I have to hit the purse with my hands or something like I hit the sheet with the purse?

Do I have to shout the spell?

I decided to try number two and hit the purse with my hands.

Still nothing!

I shouted the spell same thing. Even said it in frustration, nada!

I breathe in and out calming my nerves with my eyes close I whispered the spell.

When I opened my eyes the purse's color had changed to green.

I smiled so I must believe it would work for it to actually do.

After trying several other simple spells successfully, I tried one healing spell that eases physical pain on myself to ease my sourness.

It worked I feel so much better.

I went downstairs minutes later.

Janet and Linda were still watching Black lightning.

"Thank goodness you finally left the room,"

Linda said glancing at me briefly before her attention went back to the series.

"Linda said your room was locked, you never lock your room."

"Locked?" I asked questioning.

"Yes you heard right, I came yesterday night to the room and It was locked, had to sleep in the guest room," Linda said facing me having paused the series.

Then I remembered unconsciously unlocking the door to come downstairs. My room was indeed locked and I don't remember locking it, so that leaves me with guessing Lucien must have at some point yesterday without me noticing.

"Oh! I must have locked it at some point yesterday, I am sorry."

I said not looking at them.

I don't want to tell them I slept with Lucien.

"Where is Mrs. Jackson?"

I asked trying to divert the attention from me.

"Diner."

"When did you arrive yesterday?' I asked Janet.

"I didn't sleep here, I went home, but I am sure Mrs. Jackson arrived late, we had some witchy business to take care of," Janet said.

"Our senior prom is coming this weekend, who is excited," Linda said excitedly her attention no longer on the Tv screen.

"I am more excited that we would graduate in the next two weeks!" Janet stated.

"Me too!" I added.

"What are you planning after graduation? College?" Linda asks Janet.

"Hmmn, don't have any plans yet, I will see where fate leads me."

"You are too you, Silver what about you? Any plans?"

"I want to go to my Father's pack."

"You what?" Janet said looking at me like I am crazy.

" I want to go to my father's pack," I repeated casually.

"But your mother said you are not save in your father's pack."

Linda argued.

"Same way I am not safe here and look at me breathing fine and friends with supernaturals my mom wanted me separated from."

I replied.

"If you are sure that what you want, it is your decision." Janet supported.

"Well Janet is right, he is your father so it is your decision," Linda added.

"Thanks, guys."

I explained what happened at the memorial we held for my mum yesterday.

"It is nice to know that your powers are getting stronger soon you will be able to summon and converse with the dead at your convenience," Janet said.

"That's great! Soon my friend would be a necromancer."

"Necromancer?" Janet said burst out laughing, which made us all laughing.

"What I read that necromancer controls the dead and your powers entail the dead so, you are a necromancer," Linda said pouting.

Which made us all laugh harder.

"I practiced some spells in the book today, and guess what. I am a witch, I am a full-blooded hundred percent witch' I said quoting Phoebe Tonkin as Faye Chamberlain in The Secret Circle but changing the pronouns to "I' instead of 'you'

.

"The secret circle?" Linda asks.

"Yes, Faye Chamberlain said it."

"I love that girl!" Linda exclaimed.

"Guys! Let stick to the fact that Silver can do magic."

"Yes that's so cool, you will have to do it in front of me."

"Deal."

"You need to practice more before you can be perfect and able to memorize the spells," Janet said seriously.

"Yes I know, tomorrow is a full moon, I and Mrs. Jackson would be going to my grandma's house. Do you want to come with us, Linda so you wouldn't be home alone?"

"Sure, I won't mind, Janet could also come with us,"

Linda said looking at Janet for approval.

"Sure I won't mind, but Martha would have to ask my mom for me."

"I will talk to Mrs. Jackson tonight. I also want to talk to her about what happened at the memorial."

"What happened at the memorial?" Janet asked.

"Yes, what happened?" Linda added.

"Didn't you notice that Mrs. Jackson called Margareta by her maiden name and Mr. Thorne looked very angry?"

"I did," Linda said.

"Why did Margareta take Mr. Thorne's last name, I know it is normal of wives to but she was a vampire princess from a long strong bloodline why change name when it is like changing her family's legacy."

"That's the problem I think, when married to Mr. Thorne she was still carrying the Ambrose name same was the school, businesses they own, the children even her husband but shortly after she died he changed everything.

With no other living Ambrose to dispute it except his children, no one was against it, well no one except Martha. And her dislike for it is known."

Janet explained.

"That's… I don't even know what to say." Linda confessed.

"Same here."

"So for prom, we don't have any dates?" Linda asked changing the topic.

"We apparently are all single." Janet joked.

"We could be each other's dates," I suggested.

"Yes, when are we going shopping for our dresses before all the good stuff gets picked?" Linda asks eagerly.

"We could go after we come back from Silver's grandma's place," Janet suggested.

"Or we could go now, it not like we are busy with anything serious right now." Linda grinned.

"You love shopping too much Li," Janet said using the nickname that she calls her occasionally.

"Yes, I do J." Linda did the same. They also call me Sil.

"What do you think Sil? In the mood for shopping?" Janet asked childishly.

"Yes, of course, if Li and J are interested in shopping, Sil is ready to comply," I said using a fake British accent, making us all burst out laughing.
