Baylos' face began to tort. The rage that'd once been plastered onto his face changed into something worse. He appeared calm. It was as if his body had no way to portray the emotions he'd been feeling. His frown became stagnant as it warped into a neutral state. He reached down into a small box in the corner of the room, pulling out a serrated dagger, poking at Bisol as she continued struggling against her bindings.
"It's okay if you forgot the promise. Mistakes are made sometimes." Baylos spoke with an endearing smile, forcing his lips to do so as they quivered with an unknown emotion. "And sometimes, people like me are made to correct those mistakes," Baylos spoke to Bisol intimidatingly, drawing out each word in his inhumanly deep voice, glaring at her as he toyed with the knife in his hand.
"Bwahahaha," Jaya's laughter was heard from another room. She began coughing as she laughed hoarsely as she began to choke on her own laughs. "How long did it take for you to think of that one big guy!" She spoke, still laughing as she mocked him. She began copying his voice, straining her voice box as she mimicked him. "I'm a badass. I'll fix this mistake for you," Jaya spoke, attempting not to burst out into fits of laughter as she did so.
"You're lucky you're a woman... If you weren't I'd…" Baylos spoke slowly, staring at Bisol as he lifted himself away from her as she sat on the ground with her eyes clenched, squirming and panicking as he held the dagger. He began rubbing his head, scratching it viciously as small strands of his hair littered the floor of the cavern they dwelled in.
"Damnit, I can't do this!" He shouted, nearly breaking the handle of the dagger with the force of his grip, "Jaya! You handle this one," Baylos spoke with exasperation, dropping the dagger to the ground. It hit the floor of the cove with a clank, echoing throughout their home as it rattled gently throughout the hollow tunnels as if it were a song. It vibrated on the ground tersely before it stopped rattling.
"Awh, big man can't hurt a whittle girl?" Jaya spoke as she poked her head around the entrance of the room. Balling her fist and rubbing them against her eyelids as if she were bawling. Tears began to flow from her eyes as she burst out laughing again. She waltzes into the room, looking at Baylos as anger appeared to be strewn across his face as he turned around to face her.
"What? Do you have an issue?" Jaya spoke, cutting off her laughter as she stared Baylos down with a fire in her eyes. She began walking toward him slowly, he trembled as she touched his broad shoulders with her delicate hands. As her hand touched him, he fell to the ground in the blink of an eye. The stone beneath him cracked as Jaya held onto him with both her hands.
"No Ma'am," Baylos spoke, struggling out his words as he averted her eyes. Bisol opens her eyes, seeing Baylos kneeling to the ground with a single touch from Jaya.
"Good!" Jaya spoke with a tender smile, releasing her grip on Baylos' shoulders. "Now, since this girl doesn't know about the contract, why don't you act a little nicer and educate her?" Jaya spoke naggingly, looking at Baylos, who'd still been kneeling on the ground with disappointment in her eyes.
"Listen up--," Baylos spoke tersely as he looked toward Bisol, only to get interrupted by Jaya.
"Treat her like a lady, Baylos. You'll never get married acting like that," Jaya spoke with a sigh, covering her mouth as she nearly began to snicker. "I'm just joking, as if you'd ever have a chance with any woman on this planet or beyond," Jaya spoke, scrutinizing him as she spoke. She changes her mood instantly, a dark aura forming around her as she glared at Baylos. "But seriously, treat her nicely," Jaya spoke as she left the room, leaving Baylos on his knees as she disappeared from sight.
"You little…" Baylos mumbled underneath his breath as he looked toward Bisol.
"What!?" Jaya shouted, her voice sounded distant as she shouted toward Baylos, echoing throughout the cove as Baylos turned his head in shock.
"Nothing!" Baylos shouted. He awaited a response only to be ignored as he looked at the doorway.
"Just wait until dad gets back..." Baylos spoke poutingly, rubbing his shoulders softly as he tried to ease his pain, wincing as he touched them.
"W-what was the contract?" Bisol stuttered out, attempting to speak nicely as she gazed at the shirtless Baylos while he continued dwelling in his own sorrow.
'Hm… she's nervous. I'd be nervous too if I met someone as handsome as myself,' Baylos thought to himself, slicking back his hair as he began to lift himself off of the ground.
'Just be nice. If I can trick him into taking me out of this place I'll be safe. I just need a place for my father to sense me from' Bisol thought to herself with a smile as she sat face-first on the ground.
'Play it cool, if I play this right I could finally prove that little--' Baylos's thoughts were cut short as the image of an angered Jaya was plastered into his mind. 'Little-big-sister…' He continued his thoughts. The image of Jaya being angered was replaced with her smiling widely, almost in a grimace.
"Do you really want to know?" Baylos spoke, nearly blushing as he looked at Bisol attentively.
'Yeah she's totally into me,' Baylos thought to himself, turning his gaze from Bisol to the ceiling of their cove, posing his head as he looked away from Bisol in an attempt to seduce her.
"Yes please!" Bisol spoke, inching toward the dagger on the ground, squirming toward it slowly.
"Alright, listen closely," Baylos spoke, once again correcting his hair, flowing through it with his fingers as he began to speak once again. "Long ago, there were two kingdoms. The kingdom of the earth, and the king of the heavens. We lived together, coexisting together, helping each other through hardships."
Bisol nearly reaches the dagger, opening her mouth and clenching down onto it with her teeth.
"Hey, are you listening?" Baylos spoke, still avoiding eye contact as he stared at the rugged ceiling of the cove.
'Hmph, I'm such a badass,' Baylos thought to himself as he glared at the ceiling, nearly breaking it with the intense pressure of his stare.
'That's right… keep looking away from me," Bisol thought, tossing the knife down toward her hands so that she could grab hold of it. It clanked against the ground. Bisol let out a small gasp as it clattered.
Baylos looks down at the ground toward Bisol, still averting his eyes from hers as he looked toward his own feet.
"Sorry. I'm so muscular that the ground thinks that I'm metal. Don't mind the noise." Baylos folded his arms, confidently smirking as he closed his eyes.
In his imagination he saw himself holding her hands, frolicking across empty plains. He was shirtless and she wore a wedding gown. They ran to the end of the plains together, hand in hand. As they reached the end, he pulled away from her face gown and saw Jaya's face in her place. He opened his eyes in shock as he noticed blood leaking from his foot. He'd accidentally stepped on a jagged rock.
'Nice! A distraction!' Bisol cheered in her mind. As she cheered, Jaya appeared in the room in the blink of an eye.
"What happened Baylos!?" Jaya shouted, staring at his bloody foot as he continued to cross his arms.
"I must've stepped on something," Baylos spoke, his deep voice turning high-pitched as he attempted to keep his cool.
Jaya scoured the room and noticed Bisol struggling on the ground. She inspects her carefully and finds the dagger that she'd picked up off of the ground, alongside the rope around her body nearly cut in half. On the knife was a smudge of blood, it was the blood of Bisol, she'd accidentally cut herself when she picked up the knife.
"Baylos, are you lying to me?" Jaya spoke in a harsh tone, her eyes seemingly cloaked away by darkness as she stared at Bisol's bloody hands.
"What-- no-," Baylos stuttered out.
"Okay go wait in the other room. I'll bandage you up in a little bit."
"But I was telling her the story-," Baylos spoke as Jaya turned her head, giving him a death stare. He left the room immediately, cold sweat pouring down his brow as his bones shivered.
"I won't let my little brother hurt a girl. But if a girl hurts him…" Jaya steals the knife away from Bisol, lingering it above her, nearly straddling Bisol as she began squealing. "I won't forgive them," Jaya spoke, stabbing the knife downward, halting her blow at the last second, centimeters from Bisol's chest as sunlight filled the room. The wall had been blown open, rubble fell onto the cold hard stone of the cove as an elderly man sitting upon a horse gazed at the two women.
A rustic, rugged, armored man entered the room. His armor clanked as he held a metal helmet in his hands. He had a belt filled to the brim with equipment. A sword, a rope, some kind of can, a metal ball, and various other small objects. He places his helmet on the ground, sunlight reflecting off of it as he turned his head to Jaya.
"What have I told you about being a bully, Jaya?" He spoke with a smile, throwing a pebble at the dagger, shattering it into pieces as he looked at her smugly.
