After everyone had talked about the fight for a while, they headed back to the Merfolk Palace to take care of any injuries. Serenity and Matt in particular were still bleeding lightly, though neither could feel the pain yet.
The second boost of adrenaline was, thankfully, still trickling throughout their systems. Without it, Serenity would be in a lot of pain, and Matt wouldn't be moving around so freely. As they swam, Matt refused to left Serenity's hand go.
It was sweet, and unusual for him to be so clingy, but Serenity didn't mind it. When they reached the palace, medical supplies were waiting for them, so Matt grabbed what he thought he needed, and dragged Serenity into a vacant guest room.
