Immediately my vision became clouded and the water--tears began to fall.
I sniffed, my mind becoming extremely confused.
The only reason I had decided to indirectly save my thigh was for survival, I wanted to just live so badly since I had occupied this body and became so tiny and weak.
I simply wanted to live well, not too high profile but simply well.
It may not be often but I still have the memory of myself being surrounded by the Orcas.
How I had been overwhelmed by numbers until I was on the brink of death and had to protect myself by staying for so many World tides within that fossil.
Then only after wandering out of my body for an unknown amount of time to be trapped within another almost like a spectator.
Tortured, tortured... Now.
I have a chance, to slowly grow stronger, never to suffer like before. I only wanted to use them, everything I did was to protect myself.
This...I sniffed, around me, the servants seemed to be in a panic.
How could they understand how I felt?
I am Shark-kin a being so powerful that I am almost invisible.
If only my sisters had arrived, if only they had saved me... I struggled not to cry but it was unbearable, the tears just kept falling.
Suddenly I was held and brought into arms and a familiar voice spoke in my ears. "Young miss, don't shed tears, it will weaken you. If you are not satisfied with your courtyard we can always.. "
Quickly I replied,
"I like it, it's just I had not expected to have one of my own," I said softly bowing my head and huddling closer to the servant who held me close. How could I be ungrateful?
This is just something I had no idea I would ever receive.
"Then young miss..?"
The servant spoke once again in a hesitant tone, but I cut her off unwilling to waste anymore time.
"Lead me to my own courtyard."
"Of course young miss,"
The maid stepped through the gate and took the middle path.
She walked on the stone Winding corridor over the water surface, I felt quite cool and comforted by all of this.
I could not help but to close my eyes and relax in the scent and feel of my surroundings that will be classed as my own territory.
A while later I opened my eyes only to find a familiar presence.
Sitting up from among the cooling furs I spared the room a glance before spotting the chair across the room much larger than my tiny form.
It did not matter to me because I easily took a seat with a simple leap and sat comfortably.
The servant fell on her knees heavily.
Pursing my lips I parted my lips, the milky voice asking heavily.
--
Quia Victoria had heard that the young miss had arrived.
She had not requested to see her surroundings but rather fell asleep and was taken directly to her courtyard.
Quai Victoria upon her arrival had quickly gathered the servants and informed them of their new master.
She had clearly informed them that no mistakes would be allowed, this young master that will arrive will be the one in charge of this courtyard independently regardless of her age and nature.
The servants who did not like this had their memories erased and transferred to another courtyard to be carefully monitored.
It would be foolish to allow them to leave in case someone with malicious intent resurfaces the once lost memory and finds out about the little miss, so the best thing was to have them transferred.
Once all was said and carefully organised Quai Victoria had stood by the entrance with the servants to greet the young miss but she had been sleeping.
Therefore she had allowed her to be taken to her own rooms where she was carefully laid among the furs.
After dismissing the servant who had brought her in Quai Victoria stood guard waiting for the young miss to awaken.
She had thought that as someone who is familiar she might be happy to see her, but now… Quai Victoria is not too sure.
Subconsciously Quai Victoria fell on one knee terrified but unwilling to move.
Even though her voice was childish, softly spoken and milky tugging at your heart.
This child is an Ancestor, it is clear that she perhaps is older than she seems within, there is no way a child who looks like two would be that actual age.
"Air breather. Since you know what I am, why didn't you inform them?"
That's right, why did she not inform the young master and old madam?
Of course, she knew very well that if she did and this Ancestor didn't like it, she might destroy her and the entire Kai clan.
Only the young master and the old madam remained, for a family so rich in history, destroying them because of a few words would be a blasphemy.
There is simply no way she could ever do such a thing.
"Replying to Ancestor; this servant saw no need-"
"Air breather, get to the point,"
Quai Victoria knew she was a mere two-year-old child with a doll-like body but it seems that she was kneeling before a Titan.
Tentatively she lifted her head and looked up at the Ancestor and spoke what else was on her mind.
It may be presumptuous of her but this was her little sister, a possible future madam to serve… she could not give up this chance.
Before she had simply wanted to gloss it over but now it was best for her to say everything at once.
