While I dressed into the specially prepared gown by the servants by my side, I thought about the things that had occurred during this year. Growing is slow, which meant that for me to reach maturity I would need to continue trying harder.
I sighed, feeling slightly defeated.
At this rate, I will never see my true Shark-kin form ever again.
Is there a possibility though?
Yes.
Searching through my abilities, I have found a few that could help me unlock my true Shark-kin form but this is a bit tricky. Unlocking eight percent of my power. I have no idea if I should laugh or cry, I am still within the 1% of my power, close to two but still 1% nonetheless.
It is such a pity I could not eat the things I have been forced to become. I still remember what my mother had told me. She had mentioned that the air breathers have a unique taste, their blood smells delicious, their flesh and bones so easy to tear and swallow.
A perfect delicacy.
I had never had the opportunity before to eat an air breather, but I thought that maybe I would have that chance someday soon.
Until I am unable to.
At four, I had learned a lot about this world at least. My understanding about these air breathers has been almost perfected and all the knowledge taught to me by those two lecturers are now able to put to good use.
From what I had learned while looking through my wristband and those teachers who taught me, humans were no longer categorised in the basic five by the majority ethnically.
For example, back on the first planet Gaia now called ancient earth to these humans before its destruction.
Humans were categorised in that world's 19th century time in only three: white: Caucasoids, blacks: negroids, East and South Asians: mongoloids.
After the fact it was later broken down, adding two extras, and then subdivided into around thirty before they were mostly bred out before the destruction of the earth.
My kind had not been mentioned, but other species.
I suppose we died out or our blood became too diluted, the Shark-kin had gone on land anyway and from what I had experienced now as a partial breed Shark-kin in this body unable to shift to my true form--for the moment at least, I tended to dry out many times, luckily with the recent upgrade it has been reduced to a more tolerable point and the assist of various plants.
A little over an hour later, I am fully dressed. Today, I will be officially recognised as the adoptive granddaughter and had been prepared for over a year, especially for this day.
I felt confident; I knew myself and the older human also did as well.
With the beautiful light green dress with orange and brown prints, I looked into the full-length mirror and smiled. The back was gathered around the derire, with an oversized bow.
The dress was made from a light material that felt soft to the touch, long sleeves and a high collar, with matching gloves and a pair of simple dark green printed handmade shoes. From the standard of beauty among humans, I am a perfect child.
My facial features were exquisitely put together, eyes were slightly large slanted but aligned perfectly. The nose was small and pert, the lips full with a dark pink tone close to red.
Leaving my courtyard for the first time in two years I nodded to the guards and servants I passed followed by appropriately dressed three servants.
This home as I boarded the sedan while my three servants walked to the side I took in my surroundings.
"The outer areas have been developed well. I must congratulate the servants for their hard work."
"Young miss, it is their duty."
"En, it is, but they must still be praised for their hard work."
"The young miss is right."
"Of course I am. Those who serve are basically in charge of your life. That is why I treat you so well."
A trembling voice suddenly replied, "Young miss we dare not. Without you, how can our lives be better?"
"Mm, you have a point, but I also believe that I would not as well. So either or, it goes both ways."
"Still this humble servant wishes to thank the young miss."
I did not speak anymore, there is no need. Soon the sedan was placed down, signalling the arrival to our destination.
Stepping down from the sedan, I grasped the hand of Zai Lure before standing alone. Scanning my surroundings, I found that the secondary home can be called better than the ancestral home.
It has been carefully cultivated to suit all of our needs without stepping from within our own property confines.
The Kai ancestral home did not accept visitors, but the secondary home did, which was half the size of the ancestral home.
Halfway to the gathering, I walked with two guards ahead, three servants behind, and two more guards flanking us.
I already could smell the delicious air breathers tempting me.
"Little breeze is beautiful, grown so well during my absence." My gaze fell on the handsome male. I could not help but struggle not to shed tears. This thigh had promised he would come, but I had not believed I would be able to see him so soon.
"Big brother~," I said in the most adorable tone I could muster while beaming up at him.
My human heart stuttered in my chest informing me that seeing him in the flesh is better than seeing him from an image.
He smiled down and asked me softly as he embraced my small form; "little breeze, how does it feel to finally become a young Kai officially?"
"I have not been officially been acknowledged as yet but I am sure it should be enjoyable."
holding me in his arms I nuzzled his neck inhaling the rich scent.
As a four-year-old, I am still adorable just as I had been before he left the male reeked of pure tastiness to the point I wanted to sink my bunt teeth in him but held myself back.
Instead, I clung to my thigh shamelessly called my big brother.
looking away, I laid my head on his shoulder and simply listened to his breathing and his heart beating.
"Well, you are a part of my family, regardless."
