As the car drove into the company's parking lot, Dr Neil musingly looked at the building. Some things fought for space in his mind. His thoughts were few but scattered.
From the events that transpired at the hospital, to the events of the morning, neglecting his wicked act against Christie, his mind calculatedly, though in quick successions, brought up the part where Mrs Neil purposely without care for his feelings kept taking possession of Rosella, the first product of their love.
It was like she had silently but selfishly pushed him out of the picture and took the whole photograph with his daughter. Since he got married to her, she never for one day used the possessive pronoun ' my ' when talking about their daughters, but today she proved to him that all the while she was silently practicing how to use it and when to use it. He did not want to overthink it but his mind had a mind if it's own.
The business deals that Christie made him to miss, was high b.p threatening. Three years, he worked hard to get those agreement papers on his table. He was the wealthiest in his country, but round the world, he was the thirtieth. He planned to work hand in hand with the first top ten.
He wrote proposals, signed and wrote his name on numerous documents. He sent emails, visited the headquarters of the company he was aiming for. Beared the insults of the receptionist, forced smiles on his face each time he talked with their rude and arrogant secretaries. Infact this was the only thing he had done without involving illegal means, but yet the lady he gave right to over his body had proceeded into using the right at the company to create problems for him.
So what he did to her in the morning was just a piece of the cake and she knew that, because afterwards they would proceed to the house for more doses.
' Sir, hello sir. We are there '. The words of his chauffeur brought him to flesh.
He came out of the car, adjusted his coat and buried his hand in his right pocket while the chauffeur closed the door.
Everyone bowed as Dr Neil in the company of his bodyguards entered the building. The 10 storey building had a total of 295 staffs, 45 executives including managing directors and their deputies, 34 board members and 1 president. The ground floor accommodated the reception desk, the cafeteria and other minor job like the cleaners room, the storage room and others.
The second, third and fourth floor, had the engineering department where building engineers, chemical engineers, mechanical engineers, civil engineers, industrial engineers, petroleum engineers, mining and geological engineers and many more had their base and worked from.
The fifth floor was where the lawyers worked from. Dr Neil with the help of Alina had been able to get the best of the best lawyers in their country.
The medical personnels which comprises of the Directors of Dr Neil's hospitals did their operations from the sixth floor.
The seventh floor housed the finance department. The department have the most jobs and dealings as staffs would have to submit their payroll and collect their salaries in this department. Also the finances of every department were recorded here both in paper sheets and data(computer) sheets.
The eighth floor was reserved for some people. Nobody knew who and who entered this floor because a private elevator was constructed for it. Men in suits and shades always used that elevator. Some speculated that they were drug lords others speculated that they were Dr Neil's business associates that he did not want anyone to know about.
The ninth floor had Alina's office and the VIP lounge, so nobody apart the president, executives and Alina were allowed to enter the floor. It was only with permission that staffs entered the floor.
Dr Neil's office was situated on the tenth floor. The board meeting room, the secretaries' office were also sited here.
He entered the elevator in the company of the guards but left them at the ninth floor's lounge and proceeded to his office.
With quick successive steps, he arrived the table, drew out his drawer, brought out a gun and dug it into his belt. Before stepping out from the room, he decided to take a look at Christie.
The latter had just woken up when Dr Neil entered the bathroom. Feeling sore and trembling to the knees, she remained in her position with pleading eyes. Begging the monster to let go of her this time.
' How do you feel? Better? Did you enjoy it or was I so slow? '. He asked as he leaned closer to her bite her neck.
' Neil. Neil please my legs are aching '. Her voice was so low that Dr Neil was not able to grasp the remaining words.
He shifted his eyes from her neck when he heard her whispering and placed them on her. He assessed her for some seconds and got up.
She thought he had left to continue with his work, it was when she came out that she discovered that he was not in the office. He left.
' Sir, you have a meeting with the board members to..... '. The staff who had gone to meet Dr Neil with a file as he was about stepping out from the building, swallowed the remaining words when Dr Neil looked at him with eyes threatening his life.
As he left the building, another staff walked up to him and hit his head from behind.
' Common sense indeed is not common. You saw the small interval of time it took for him to go to his office and come down but yet you decided to show that you are a hard-working staff. My brother, pray you still you get your job when he comes back '.
The staff that went to meet Dr Neil froze as he heard his final words and what pained was that the entire ground floor staffs including the receptionist he was sighting, were heartily laughing at him.
