After helping the little kid, I asked if he wanted to come to our house, he hesitated before nodding his head. Helping him into the SUV, a thought entered my mind. Turning to dad, I asked if he can make a quick run to store and buy a pair of clothes for my new friend. I tried to make some small talk with him, but sadly he was unapproachable. I thought 'Maybe, he just needs some time to trust us!''
Bored, I pulled my phone out of the pocket and started playing a game. After playing a few times, I ran into a losing streak. A squeaky voice said, "I think, that's not going to work" taking a glimpse, it was my little friend, Marcus speaking. "How can you be sure?"
Eyes brimed of confidence, he said "I just know"
Doing it my way, I was once again short of one more bird, to win the level. He stuttered "Can I show you?"
"Sure, you can play!" said, handing him my phone. I beamed, noticing a gentle smile gracing his soot-covered features.
