As Kazein is now ready to train the Unseen Deadly Blade style, Alzak gave him a set of hidden weapons of all sorts. A kunai or a throwing knife, a pair of razor claws, and many more deadly weapons.
"Blind one, do you feel the aura within these weapons? They were all used in assassinations and killings, too much that demons live within them. You must be prepared for the hardships that is to come from training the Unseen Deadly Blade style. Are you sure about this?" Alzak seemed quite concern about Kazein's decision.
"Of course. I've gotten this far. I won't back down now." Kazein was pretty sure of his decision. When Alzak sighed, he handed the weapons down to Kazein. In an instant, Kazein felt the cold aura within. "Frost magic, one of the lost arts. Only a handful are able to use it."
"True, these were used by the Ice pavilion clan. An elite order of ice assassins that specializes on killing quickly, and scoff free. They fell when the northern barbarians invaded nonstop, they were the first to suffer the wrath. Until the whole of Mesolonia fought against the barbarians and won in the end."
Kazein listened while examining the weapons. "Hey, these blades were made beautifully, no dents or scratches whatsoever, and if it really is second hand, how could there be no dull edges?"
"That is because," He paused and thought for a while. "No, nevermind." Alzak seemed hesitant on telling Kazein everything. "From now on, you'll be using them for everything, to get to know them and utilize their uses and advantages, and also, knowing when to switch to another weapon. Come, I'll teach you how to hide them in your body and still move around carelessly."
As he spun Kazein around, he got the weapons and started hiding it in Kazein's body, the kunai's by his back, the short sword by his chest, shurikens by his shoulder, more knives by his legs and so on.
"This way, you can easily hide them and use them to your advantage, the claws will always be in your hands, just remember to hide the blades, they're retractable." As he explained everything to Kazein, he then started the training once more.
Kazein knew of Alzak's training method, so he was quite prepared, just not for Alzak's surprise attacks. Even if Kazein has field, Alzak has a larger one, and he's more familiar with the hidden weapons. No matter how you look at it, Alzak had the advantage, Kazein took his time and learnt how to use the weapons. For a year, this went on. Until, Kazein, finally mastering the hidden weapons, has also surpassed Alzak.
"Good, for 2 years you trained under me, and now you're better than me. To be able to make a clear hit at me even though your sight and hearing is deprived. You passed." Alzak was both sad and happy, sad that he was heated out of his game, but happy that he found someone to move on with his technique.
"Yeah, for this two years, I really am grateful for those times you've trained me. I really am." Kazein looked quite down.
"Yes, no need to-"
"Stab!!!" Suddenly, Alzak coughed up blood.
"Yeah, I really am grateful, but I don't need you anymore. I only came here to get stronger, hey, did you know why I never called you master? It's because I never did recognize you as my master. I don't need one, nor will I ever find one." Kazein had a smile on his face as he was behind Alzak whose face was covered in blood.
"I always thought this would happen. And it really did. That's why I hesitated to tell you everything, listen well, the secret this blades are sharp as hell, is because they carry the anger and souls of those it killed. And below the springs, there is a purifying jewel whose healing power is very potent." Alzak struggled to tell him these.
"Why are you telling me these now?" Kazein returned to the old him who was cold and had no heart, he frowned at Alzak.
"Haha, you really are still blind. If I leave it here and another one more evil than you finds it. I'm sure it'll be used for even greater hell. I'd rather you keep it. I'm sure you'll soon have a change of heart." Alzak's eyes started to slowly close. Kazein thrusted the sword deeper, and finally ended Alzak's life.
"I have no heart. My heart died long ago." Kazein said, after burning Alzak's body, he went to the cave and took anything necessary, including some container. He then went to the spring and got the jewel underneath, after which, he filled the containers with the remaining water. "Better get some if I might break any bones of mine."
After he got ready and took all he needed, he left the mountain, traveling westwards. He stopped and camped for the night, he slept. For the first time in almost two years, the demon spoke to him once more.
"You sure of what you did? He was your master." The demon said.
"Yes, besides, I don't recognize him as my master. Also, you didn't say I could kill him."
"True, and it's also me who benefitted, the demon he contracted with lost the chance to grab his soul, since I took it faster. Oh well. So, what are you gonna do now?"
"Get stronger."
"After that?"
"Get stronger."
The conversation went on for a while until the demon got angry.
"What will you do when you're stronger than anybody else?!" He shouted.
"Get revenge over anyone who made my life miserable. Including those foolish Kings. If I have to, I will destroy nations after nations and make my self my own paradise." Kazein had quite the goal, no one ever thought of getting that much stronger.
"I see, so that's how it is. Have you finally figured out how to be a spirit magnet? That's the clue I've given you two years ago."
"I don't know yet. I need more hints."
"Fine, last one. Get a soul stone." As the demon said those words, Kazein woke up from the trance. He thought for himself, and decided to go to a place that's sure to have a soul stone. Blue Cross city, three days later he arrived to the place. When he got in, he immediately looked for places that should have one, but apparently, due to it's rarity, store both small and big has it.
"Hey! If anyone wants to bet in the upcoming water festival! Come here and put your name, the odds and who you'll place your money on." A man has been gathering people over and causing a scene. Kazein noticed this and went to ask.
"What's in the water festival?"
"Oh? You must be a traveler, it's the fighting tournament of the blue serpent clan. Anyone is free to enter as long as they are at least 20 years of age and at least above the bright path road." A man replied. Kazein just said "Thanks" and left a silver coin in his hand, then left.
