Isaiah 40:29 & 31
He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint
When situation rise we are ready to give up, we are ready to fall under the pressures of afflictions, because things do not work out same time for us we don't get deliverance when we ask for it, or our prayers are not answered but we must remember that God's time is not our time neither our ways his ways.
I remember I was not working 2014-2015, I live in a rent house, and there were days I could not find food to eat much less to pay the bills. I reach a point where I was almost end up on the street. That time I told God if he did not fix the situation or provide a job I am going to give up on him, I'm going to stop singing on the choir and stop doing the things concerning him. Did this works? No it did not.
Did I throw in the towels? No, but I almost did. I was so frustrated, depressed and stress out until I start losing my hair, but it was in that moment I cried out for God to have mercy and to forgive me for questioning him. It was in that moment I realize all I have to do is to ask God to give me his strength in my moments of weakness because his strength is made perfect in my weakness. This is where I asked God to strengthen me spiritually; and to give me the faith and courage to run this race with patience.
Paul has a thorn in his flesh because he takes pride in the abundance 0of the revelation God gave him. He asks God three times to take it away. But God said to him 2 Corinthians 12:9 and he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
We may not know the very extent of his thorn But Paul was not only able to rejoice in his sufferings but was enabled to glorify God in them as well: He said "Therefore I take pleasure in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions and in destress for Christ sake so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
No matter what we are going through, whatever the situation or circumstances are, don't give up, look to the hills from whence cometh your help for all of your help cometh from the Lord who made the heaven and the earth.
For God said in Exodus 15:2 The LORD is my strength and my defence; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.
Just hold on to that last thread of hope.
