Chapter 77 - Chapter 77

Talking about Leon, he had been worried about him and had been hurrying to check up on him when he bumped into Ethan.

And now that Leon was back on the forefront of his mind, he quickly forgot about his encounter with Ethan.

He made his way into the apartment, not sure what to expect. Usually, he was the one staying in and waiting for them to return but now the roles were reversed.

There was no one in the living room which wasn't too strange but it meant that if Leon wasn't here, he was probably locked up in his room.

He could not bring himself to check first, choosing to go to the bedroom first, after checking the kitchen to confirm if Darian was there.

He was chickening out but the only way to handle Leon locking himself up in his room was after he had seen Darian.

The last thing he expected was for Leon to be in the bedroom, considering how he had been avoiding the place like a plague for the past couple days.

So he was frozen in place after walking into the bedroom to be greeted by the last sight he ever thought he would see.

Did he maybe bump his head when he went in the kitchen and was now having a fever dream?

Because he couldn't be seeing what he was seeing right?

Darian was lying shirtless on the bed and fast asleep which wasn't surprising, Jaxon was basically used to seeing that now.

No, what surprised him was what was draped over Darian, Leon was somehow on the bed as well, also fast asleep and they were tangled around each other.

The first thought that came to Jaxon's head was how cute they were, he should probably take pictures because knowing them, they would blatantly deny it if he brought it up when they were conscious.

His mood had been instantly fixed by this, taking rapid fire pictures before tiptoeing around to get into more comfortable clothes.

Sure they looked good together but they would look even better if he joined in on the nap-cuddle session.

Pulling one of Leon's shirts on, he ever so carefully, climbed into the bed.

Darian looked very cuddle worthy but he had missed Leon so he went around the bed to climb in on his side, snuggling into his side.

He didn't know how much he had missed this or better still, how much he would miss it till it was gone.

When did he actively start hoping that Darian and Leon would fall for each other so that he could get to keep them both?

Was it just when he walked in? Or right now as he's cuddling them both but for the first time, he wasn't at the centre of it?

That would be a true fever dream.

He wrapped himself around Leon's side, knowing that he was going to somehow end up on Darian's side by the time they woke up.

It was odd because he didn't ever remember rolling around this much when he slept all by himself, not that he had a lot to say about it.

Considering that he barely slept long or deeply enough to decide if he was a potential hazard in bed and not the good kind.

They were napping a lot since they came to Cone but considering that it doubled as a vacation for them, it wasn't like they were going against the original plan.

Jaxon didn't think he had ever slept so much over the span of consecutive days, he wasn't complaining though.

Not being able to sleep was it's own kind of torture because he was constantly tired but there was no way to recharge.

And although he had basically napped everyday since he came here, he started to feel drowsy in no time, falling asleep soon after.

Darian woke up first, opening his eyes slowly, it took a while for his grogginess to clear up.

He lifted his head to get a good look around ony to find out that not only had Jaxon joined them sometime on the bed, he had managed to squeeze in between them.

Darian just smiled softly at this, he brushed Jaxon's red hair away from his face and made a move to leave before glancing at Leon.

Without thinking, he reached out a hand to brush Leon's hair away from his face too, getting out of the bed then.

A quick glance at the window told him that the sun was going down which meant that it was about dinner time, no wonder he had woken up, his inner clock must have been responsible for that.

He wasn't going to wake them up and not because they looked quite comfortable, even though that was a really good point.

He didn't want Leon around Ethan, now that they had gotten him back in the bedroom, he wasn't about to let him go back to isolating himself and putting up emotional walls.

There were supplies in the kitchen anyway and he didn't realise how much he would come to enjoy cooking for them.

Back at the Pack House, there was always food, Hayden and Dream occasionally spoiling them with baked goods, not to talk of the women in the Pack and his mom.

He didn't remember a time he had to actually cook.

He still didn't feel up to wearing a shirt so he trudged out of the room still wearing only sweatpants.

What would he cook for dinner?

Making up his mind wasn't too difficult after taking a gander at what was available in the kitchen and also what would be not too difficult to make.

He had average cooking skills but he wasn't about to push them to their limit.

As he got started on cooking, he half expected to turn around and find Jaxon and Leon goofing off in the small dining table at the other end of the kitchen.

He decided to listen to some music while working so he took a short trip back to the bedroom to grab his phone.

"Hey." Jaxon's raspy voice alerted him to the fact that he was awake.

He glanced at the bed at this. "Hey," He repeated with a small smile. "Sleep well?"

Jaxon cuddled closer to Leon. "Yeah." He answered breathily.

He obviously had no plans of leaving the bed yet and Darian couldn't blame him, leaving the bedroom once more.
