The kitchen was already stocked so there was no reason to leave the apartment just yet, they all retired to their rooms.
Eager to clean up and rest up a bit before dinner, Jaxon was relieved that he didn't have to deal with either of them, mostly Leon so soon.
He stripped down and got into the shower, thinking that actually, maybe sharing an apartment with both of his life's nemesis wouldn't be so bad.
He took that thought back quickly when he stepped out to find Leon sprawled on his bed.
"Oh fuck…" he cursed under his breath, startled at his sudden presence. "You have your room, don't you? Why are you in mine? What if I was naked?" He scolded, clutching his towel to his bare chest, thankfully he had pulled on pants before stepping out.
Leon's eyes raked down his body. "I don't see the problem with that."
"That's it, get out of my room…"
The door swung open at this point, cutting himself off and Darian strolled right in. "Are we hanging out in Jaxon's room?" He asked rhetorically, joining Leon in the bed.
Jaxon's look of disbelief was priceless. "No we're not, there's literally every other room in this apartment, go somewhere else." He complained.
He clutched his towel ever tighter, his face and body going red from all the scrutiny that was going on, neither of them seemed to want to take their eyes off him.
"Sure…" Darian was quick to agree, getting up and placing a hand on Leon to indicate that he'd do the same. "We'd just get into fights though." He added.
Leon's initial frown transformed to a sly look, not hesitating to support Darian. "And you know you're supposed to look after us."
Jaxon blinked at this, stunned speechless. Of course they would disagree over everything possible but torturing him.
"Fine." He agreed grudgingly, the word leaving a bitter taste behind in his mouth.
He grabbed a random shirt quickly from the closet, the freckles on his back prickling from their stares.
"My room, my rules." He muttered grumpily when he came out again, this time fully dressed.
They shrugged in response, curious to see what he would do.
"Good, so get out, I want to nap before dinner." He said without hesitation, playing the one card that would give him a break from them.
Darian gave him a look. "You took a nap in the car, have you forgotten what Mae said about naps?" He reminded calmly.
Jaxon felt his heart drop to his stomach, that play would only work against Leon who wouldn't think too deeply about it, not Darian who was basically in charge of his sleep.
Frequent naps would keep him from sleeping at night, which would in turn fuck up his already fucked up sleep schedule.
"If anything, you need our company to keep you from sleeping." He concluded, getting comfortable on the bed once more and patting the space in between him and Leon for Jaxon to come sit.
That was the perfect way to keep him from sleeping, if he didn't pass out instead.
"Ugh! I don't remember signing up for this." He groaned, sitting down on where Darian had patted, leaning back.
Leon immediately moved into his personal space, readjusting so that he laid down with his head placed on Jaxon's stomach.
Darian mimicked his actions at the head of the bed but his time with Jaxon's head propped on him.
Jaxon tried to not stiffen up at this, sure there was a lot of skin contact in their friendship? Previous friendship? But this just seems odd.
He knew that going on dates with them was a bad idea, he'd absolutely say yes if either asked again and that brought him to the main issue of the matter.
He couldn't have them both but just how, for the goddess sake was he expected to pick just one?
He wasn't even considering choosing, that was scary, maybe it would be better for them all if they moved on and returned to being friends.
Hell, maybe this was just a phase and soon enough they would get over their little crushes and things would go back to the way it was.
Because Jaxon could not see a way that this would go without one or more people getting hurt, he didn't want that.
Absently, his hand strayed to Leon's hair, absently patting the surprisingly soft strands.
He didn't think this was just a little crush though, at least not for him but if he had to be the bigger person and move on, he wouldn't hesitate to.
What was he to do now? Just live in the moment and enjoy their attention?
Absolutely, he was lucky that his first relationship was this eventful anyway, how many people could say that?
It was awfully quiet though, why was neither of them saying anything…
He lifted his head up to see Darian dozing off, his head propped on pillows, a quick glance down gave him a similar reaction from Leon.
Leon was also fast asleep and as if he could tell that Jaxon was staring at him, he spun around, wrapping his arms possessively around one of Jaxon's legs.
Yeah, hopefully this was just a little crush.
He couldn't believe that they both fell asleep right after telling him he couldn't, they weren't wrong though, he absolutely couldn't.
He had to be careful so that his body didn't betray him.
Because although Darian was obviously asleep, his hand drifted down Jaxon's upper body like he needed to make sure that Jaxon was still there.
Leon was doing the exact same just more dangerously, maybe he would take to locking his bedroom door.
Then he better be prepared to explain to Alpha Noah why his door kept getting broken in.
