"Here?" Hakai looked over to the wheat field, wondering where he sensed this tiny presence.
Tmp!
He landed by the outskirts of the field. Then, knowing that he would have to look for a needle in a haystack, he called for his sacred weapon.
"Daggers of Calamity."
The two daggers appeared in his hands. Then, as he tried to enter the field, a voice far away called out to him.
"Haki-Kun! Be safe!" Mai shouted from the top of her lungs. Hakai scuffed and stepped into the field.
"Here? No, it might not even be close."
He said to himself, pondering if he should destroy the entire field with his sacred weapon's unique ability, "Calamitous Shockwave."
"No, it would only cause problems." A drop of sweat fell from his face.
Bam!
A strand of wheat slapped his back, so, Hakai instantly turned around, finding nothing.
"Huh?" He questioned himself, knowing he was now entirely in the enemy's range.
"Damn it, I knew I screwed up strolling here," Hakai said to himself as a confident voice taunted him.
"Yes, you have. So now you're mine!" The high-pitched voice said, brimming with confidence.
Slap!
"Dammit, where is it coming from!" Hakai shielded himself against the strand of wheat that unleashed attacks from his blind spots. Then, noticing the strand behind trying to whack his hind thighs, he jumped and sliced the strand into three pieces.
Noticing his chance, he quickly cast the spell. "Evil spirits of darkness, created to destroy, vanish." However, nothing happened, confusing Hakai while still picking on a small residual signature as a creepy silence fell.
Hakai settled down and activated his extraordinary prowess waiting for another attack. Instantly seven pieces of wheat began moving behind him, and suddenly, they all unleashed attacks, whipping Hakai whenever they could catch him off-guard.
As another ten pieces came up from the ground beneath his feet and whipped at him, he jumped and, while backflipping, defended against one with his dagger in his right hand and cut two with his left. Then, almost avoiding all but one, he fell onto his feet, crouched. Finally, an idea about the situation came to his mind.
"This is an illusionary field!" He shouted, finally confirming that this spirit controlled the entire range. "This spirit can control a 43560 square foot field precisely. However, I am the worst opponent." He smirked, glancing at the straws of uncounted and pointy wheat hurdling at him.
"Calamitous Shockwave!"
Hakai shouted, digging his dagger into the dirt, causing a shockwave that rippled through the ground, making a massive two-acre crater. "Wow, this attack's amount of output energy was crazy!" He shouted as he stood up in the hole, amazed.
"Kyeeeeee!" The spirit that hid finally showed its proper form. It was seven feet tall, with fanged dog feet. It had a human torso but a melted face that resembled a lizard. It was truly monstrous. "How could you!" He shouted at Hakai.
"You reek of negative emotions," Hakai said, lifting his eyes at the spirit. His pupils shone golden yellow instead of the usual black pupils and spokes. He seemed unusually eerie.
"Kyee!" The spirit shouted, sprouting mini versions of itself from the base of its palms.
"Miniature Clones!"
"Yaa!" The ten small clones shouted while running at Hakai. Then, ten small portals erupted next to the clones, pulling a matching sword long enough to be a dagger.
"Corny Saber!" The leading mini clone shouted while the massive corn, shaped into a sword, hung above Hakai until the mini clone shoved it down, trying to cut him in half.
Shkeen!
Boom!
The attack launched by the spirit split the ground.
"Cute little attack and its destructive power are amazing." Hakai crouched behind the now halted clone.
The other clone kept running until it was too late.
"Eh?" The clone looked back as Hakai decapitated it. After that, however, the clone began regenerating slowly. Even so, Hakai didn't bother to expel it.
"All in one go?" Hakai said to himself as the others charged at him, all screaming, trying to attack with spells.
"Boring." He stared them down, bothered.
Shkeen!
He appeared behind one, decapitating it.
Shkeen!
Shkeen!
Shkeen!
He took down another three the same way.
"Rice Monster!"
Another small clone shouted as Hakai's feet dangled over a massive monster made of rice, trying to eat him.
Shkeen!
He appeared in front of the spirit that launched the attack, cutting it into two halves by the waist.
"Aghhh!" Something massive shouted behind Hakai; looking back, he found the spirit, creating an enormous twenty-foot tall version of itself.
Hakai fell to one knee as his head began throbbing.
"Join us!" A dark voice shouted in his mind.
