"Brother? Who the hell are you?" Hakai spat while pointing at him with his left index finger.
"I am he who remains celestial, holy, and just. A figure of the past and future, a judge and ruler of Death. My name is Shinigami, God of Death."
"Huh? Co-codes?" Hakai fussed over the language barrier.
"My fault. Let me try this tone for the explanation then."
"Yes, you are my little brother. If you'd recall our interactions, you would see, but due to them being stolen and fragmented. I suppose that would prove hard." The figure with a hoodie over his face and dressed in an overall dark cloak that hid his entire body levitated in the air told Hakai.
"It can't be him. He is too laid-back for that, but this overwhelming presence and spirit guarantees it. In the stories, Ama-Chan told me that Death was an overpowering celestial that opposed flesh and tried to execute its power over the Gods. So, why lead me here? Is it to force me to join them? How am I, his brother?"
"Shinigami! Don't you dare mock me right now! I am no brother of yours, and I hold no past or recent memories of you." Hakai planted his feet on the ground, taking an offensive stance. "I know you from visions and nightmares. You haunt me to join your side."
"In this life, you know me from told stories and legends by the Lady of the Sun."
Shkeen!
He appeared behind The God of Death. Then, pulling back his katana behind his ear, he launched it and hoped to land even a small cut. But instead, he slashed the air, and Shinigami only appeared behind him again.
"You are not strong enough at the moment. You'll not even reach me." Shinigami spoke the truth but offended Hakai at the same time. "Hakai, I'm here only to speak for a short time." He informed Hakai while his scythe went in circles under his crossed legs.
"Ughh!" Hakai was furious but held back his emotions and anger as he knew in the current state, he was unable even to hope to keep up with Shinigami. "Fine, on with it already!" Hakai remained on the defensive, walking around Shinigami in circles.
"Deal."
"At the dawn of time. Two divinities wished for seven natural entities. Those entities were Death, Conflict, later changed its title to War by its host, Hate, the balancer which is you, or rather the entity you rule, Destruction-" Shinigami began his explanation at a point way too far for Hakai's liking.
"Oi, I don't wanna go back to that long ago." He displayed disapproval and exhaustion on his face.
"You must listen, fresh Hakai," Shinigami argued his point. "Some entities took hosts to rule them and wield their powers. These are titles beheld by Gods. But, before you, they are ancient, as old as the universe. I Death am one of two original hosts who haven't been reborn." The scythe flew to his right hand. Gripping its staff, he tapped onto the air, and suddenly ripples began expanding, and an image was displayed from thin air.
"I am here to issue you a warning. A pressing matter is upon us all. War, Death, hate, fear, famine, and Destruction are to plague the world of humans again. We are reaching our final stages. A proposal from the Seven Rulers of the Underworld is for you to join us and become the eighth!" An image of a giant army consisting of demons, monsters, and evil spirits is projected in the thin air below Hakai's feet.
Hakai gasped as Shinigami asked him again.
"Join us, brother." He lifted his head and, through his dark black cloak, oozing black energy seeped and traced his dark purple stare.
"Never!" Hakai uttered slowly, his tone deepened. Although Hakai knew he was no match for Death, his stance assumed another attack.
"Let me know of your choice, for now, till we meet again." The figure flew upwards and disappeared in black dispersed energy before Hakai could use the second path he demonstrated against the golems.
"Tch!" He nipped his lower lip, enraged by Shinigami's words. "How useless could I be?" Hakai scolded himself as blood dripped down his chin.

"Where is he?" Mai ran through the street close to her neighborhood, looking for Hakai. "If he knows more, I want to learn more!" She said to herself, looking around and hoping to catch a glimpse of him.

{During Shinigami and Hakai's enocunter}
"Lord Hachiman of War, do you feel that?" Ares asked, narrowing his stare at Hachiman.
"Yes, assume battle attire. It's time to go to War against Death." The two Gods of War summoned their battle arsenal and attire from thin air. Then, quickly disappearing from the room, it took the attendants moments to realize they were gone.
"Huh?"
"Lord Hachiman?" One male aide walked up to Himari, tapping her on her shoulder. "Where did the lords leave too?
"I do not know..." Himari seemed frightened, stiffened in her place.

"Hakai!" Hachiman called as he appeared from thin air behind Hakai.
"Where did the ancient god go?" Ares walked up to Hakai, asking him.
"He just flew up..." Hakai uttered the words with anger spewing from his pores.
"Okay, calm down, Hakai." Hachiman patted him on the shoulder, signifying that he should loosen up.
"How can I? They are preparing a full-scale invasion!" Hakai stuttered, trying to loosen up in the process.
"Hmm..." Hachiman scuffed, looking over to Ares.
"On it." Ares nodded, jumping into the open sky and disappearing.
"Haki-Kun...?" Mai walked into the alleyway and saw Hakai and Hachiman. Hachiman looked over at her and realized her signature was a living human.
"Huh?" Hachiman looked confused. His eyes quivered with disbelief.
