With her eyes closed, Flora could smell the gentle scent of the flowers from inside the ball room. Leaning on the railing, the cool metal pressed into her forearms as she stared out into the night. Though it was chilly outside on the balcony, Flora's core was still warm from the flurry of activity she had just come from. While she could still hear the strum from the music inside, it was calm and peaceful out on the balcony. For the first time at an event like this, Flora was enjoying herself.
The door to the balcony creaked open, a familiar voice sounding smoothly, "did you save a drink for me princess?" Flora turned her head casually towards Prince Alexei a small smile on her lips. He strode up to Flora, his eyes flicking down to her glass. "Well, most of one I see." Taking the place right next to Flora, the prince set his forearms on the railing, staring outward into the night like Flora had just been doing.
