The earthling was hesitant to answer, not because he was unsure but he was uncertain which the reason was.
He's the administrator of the system as well as the devourer of the Beast Cores. The former was the creation of the 'human' Sage whereas the latter was the subjects of the Supreme Deity.

Adam hesitated for a moment before explaining about both. His words were truthful and elaborated the most complex of the concepts with ease.
