Ulnef pointed to the southwest and nudged Mohee into a full gallop. Gobain were not distance runners, and were known for having difficulties walking on unfamiliar terrain, but they could comfortably walk for miles and for days on end, in familiar territory. Thus, after a few minutes of running, Mohee slowed to a walk and the group continued on at that pace until the grasses gave way to dirt and then to a stone outcropping.

Dismounting, the group made their way to the edge of the rocks and looked down upon a gryphandox's nesting ground, a few feet below. A nest of leaves and branches brought up from the valley, sat alone, surrounded by piles of bones, sun bleached and picked clean of every scrap of flesh. Feathers as long as Baas was tall, in teal greens, bright blues, and vibrant purples, were scattered around the edge of the rocky plateau.

"It's a male's nest," Baas remarked as he looked about the area below them. "That makes this mildly more difficult."
