Kurisei, the vice-captain of the Rising Shiren guild, appeared within the elven race's destroyed kingdom. He had an annoyed expression on his face, but it quickly changed to a calm one when he saw a new adventurer. Being popular as he was seemed to imply that he owed it to himself to behave well.
In the main scene, it was about 12 metres away from him. Even though a woman rode behind him, his brows barely lifted as he tried to see the location in that distance. Garage, the sexy assassin in the Uzui party, was also the adventurer who assisted them in guiding Kurisei to their exact location as Uzui had ordered.
"Are these adventurers part of your party?" Kurisei inquired sweetly, his index finger pointing to the location where the adventurer used light magic to brighten up the dull place.
Garage nodded slowly, as she was the only one who disagreed with Uzui's sinister plan. Because she was aware, they also committed a serious violation after severely injuring Roshy.
"Ye... Mr. Kurisei, yes." She responded in a flat tone.
"Oh, I see; don't be afraid any longer. No one will harm you because I am present." Kurisei stroked his brown hair back with a seductive smile on his face.
Hoof! Hoof! Hoof!
The ears detected a loud sound of the horse's feet slowly walking, which was loud enough to spread throughout the area. Kurisei and Garage mounted the horse as soon as they arrived. He then doesn't waste any time in inquiring as to what happened to them.
He tried to approach them calmly at first as that was the best way to get a positive response. "As long as I'm here, you can be sure that no monsters will respawn here, and if they do, I'll be able to easily slay them. So, who created this?" Kurisei stated his case.
The area was severely burned, and some of the structures were destroyed. He wasn't surprised because they were in the Virtual Reality game, where anything was possible.
Then, all of a sudden, Uzui's tears rolled down his blanched face, as if he was afraid to give useful information. He shook his head uncontrollably while pushing his arms forward, as if he didn't want anyone to get too close to him.
"No, no, no, you will not get any information from us; that man would not hesitate to kill us." Uzui then bowed his head to hide the malicious smile on his face.
Kurisei shrugged Uzui's shoulders, his eyes convincing. "As I previously stated, no one will hurt you as long as you tell me exactly what happened here."
"No! What will happen after this? You're going to let us kill by using that man." He persisted in refusing all of Kurisei's words until he couldn't get what he really wanted.
Kurisei sighed deeply since he needed to solve this problem without bothering the other adventurers. Aside from that, if he engaged in inappropriate behaviour, some journalists may write an article about it.
"As Vice-Captain of the Rising Shiren guild, I'll assign level 30 adventurers to secure your life in the VR world, and I'll also ask them to monitor your fighting ability in order for you to be eligible to join our guild. Isn't it a fair trade? So, who created this?" When he looked into Uzui's eyes, his face became solemn.
Uzui and his party members smiled in the background, unnoticed. Uzui, on the other hand, maintained his gloomy demeanour.
"Can you guarantee that?" He inquired, his voice trembling.
"Who do you believe I am? Don't be concerned; I always keep my promises." Kurisei responded without a second thought.
Kurusei, as expected, would not retract everything he said as the journalist was surrounding them. Nonetheless, it was ideal for Uzui's party.
He took a deep breath before telling the fabricated side storey about himself.
"Hais... As long as you can provide all of that, that's fine. I'm going to tell you what Grim Draigh did to us." Uzui pretended once more that he was afraid to say his screen name.
"Grim Draigh? Continue your story and tell me who the real adventurer is." Kurisei was perplexed as to how Grim Draigh defeated those adventurers despite the fact that he was a new adventurer, and he suspected there was something wrong with him.
"Back in the hidden quest, when we were about to kill the last monster to complete the quest, he appeared out of nowhere to kill and steal the monster because it had 10 HP. As expected, we became enraged since he put in all of our hard work and time just to finish it; I admit, we tried to PK him, but my sympathy drove my decision. So we let him as he promised he will get back all the loots he got from the monsters."
"Write it down, Grim Draigh is a thief!"
"What?! Grim Draigh is only a KS specialist, which is why he has become so popular."
All of the journalists were chatting loudly in the large space, and they were also using magic to write all of Uzui's statements. They knew Grim Draigh was looking for them as the other top guilds were.
Uzui's on-the-spot strategy was working well. It was so clear as water that no one could see it. But he didn't realize Kurisei was also a part of the adventurers who finished the hidden quest inside the Lynx dungeon.
"In the hidden quest, what kind of monster do you face? Furthermore, what method did Grim Draigh employ to deceive all of you." Kurisei inquired.
"The high-level monster inside the Lynx dungeon is a Super Paraganda fish." Uzui said it so quickly, and then he quickly answered the follow-up question to cover up his lied words. "It appears that he used to beg another person, as he stated, in order to sell the rare item and earn real money. You, too, will believe his words."
Kurisei kneaded his chin smoothly, knowing that his man was lying to him. However, he was aware of how to play his game, so he pretended to be convinced.
"I see, this is my final question: how did you defeat the four of you, or more specifically, how did he do it? What is his profession, mage? Swordsman? Gunner? Or a rogue like myself?" Kurisei inquired since Grim Draigh's ability piqued his interest.
He shook his head, his eyes disappointed. "He belongs in the brawler class." Uzui spoke in hushed tones.
"Write it up, Grim Draigh is a brawler." The journalist murmured to his coworkers, they are the ones who bring the news to the rest of the world, and this is also the highest paid job in the meantime.
Because journalists had the ability to turn adventurers into celebrities, all of the wealthy adventurers had journalists on their side.
"Whoa, what a brawler! You've got to be kidding me." Kurisei knew the true potential of the brawler class, and he could say it would never live up to his expectations.
Uzui glared at him with enraged eyes. "Believe it or not, he's just a brawler with a lot of power."
"How does it appear?" Kurisei inquired.
"It was a strong force that gathered in a certain spot," Uzui said, pointing to Karone's shield. "Look at that, who's adventurer can break that kind of shield with only 17 brawler levels? Even though I'm level 19, I can't seem to stop him."
Kurisei realized that some of Uzui's words were lies, while others were not. Then, all of a sudden, a new call screen appeared in front of him, pressing him once more to fix his hair. It was the Captain of the Rising Shiren guild, the one who couldn't wait to learn more about Grim Draigh.
"What exactly is the point of this article?! Why did you reveal our secret activity to the journalist, damn it!" Shira yelled angrily.
"I'm sorry, Captain Shira," Kurisei replied softly.
Then she noticed Kurisei standing next to the young man, whose clothes were badly ripped.
"Who is that guy?" Shira screamed.
"This is the man who first witnessed Grim Draigh's true ability."
"Return to the guild house, and if he refuses, force him to come with you. But only him." Shira then angrily terminated the call in the system function.
"Ye..." He couldn't complete his words, he then glared at Uzui. "Did you hear what she said, right? I don't want to commit more mistakes, so come with me right now!"
