Pulling out two of his daggers, Sydra drops out of the sky and lands on top of the turtle's head. In its rage, the turtle doesn't notice Sydra and continues to charge forward after its egg, which causes the head to sway back and forth.
'Crap, I can't get a good handhold on this turtle's head, and if this continues I'll be thrown off,' Sydra thinks as squats down and looks around the top of the head. The entire thing is covered in the turtle's smooth jade shell, making it slippery and difficult to stand on. Glancing back, Sydra sees that Sam and Gram have landed on the turtle's back, but their weapons are doing nothing to its shell. Not wanting to alert the turtle to their presence yet, Sydra starts motioning towards the others to aim at the same spot, but neither of the men understands what he is saying.
"What?!" Sam yells as he and Gram continue attacking the shell in different spots. However, the yell causes the turtle to slow its charge and turn its head to look at its back. Unsure of what to do, Sydra hops off the turtle's head and lands on the back with the others.
"I was telling you to attack the same spot and wear away at the shell," Sydra says as the turtle stares at the three of them with its large green eyes that are being filled with rage. Roaring loudly, the turtle opens its mouth and the group notices a dark blue glow coming from deep within its throat.
"Dodge! It's about to attack," Lorey yells as she and Haley jump to the sides of the turtle, and out of the line of fire. Listening to Lorey's warning, the three men on the back of the turtle start moving as fast as they can. With both Sam and Gram jumping to either side of the turtle, Sydra decides to fly straight up to get out of the way. Glancing back down as he flies away, Sydra notices that the turtle's rage-filled eyes are focused on him.
"Did it really have to choose me?" Sydra yells as the turtle turns the direction of its head to follow Sydra's every movement. Activating his fire aura in the bottom of his feet, Sydra speeds up his descent as the blue glow in the turtle's mouth becomes blinding.
'Boom!' An explosion erupted from the turtle's mouth as a beam of saltwater shot out from the turtle's mouth and in the direction of Sydra. Facing the attack head-on would be suicide, by Sydra had no way to dodge out of the beams way. Activating his lightning aura throughout his entire body, Sydra slows down the world around him and looks at the beam that is hurtling towards him.
"The beam is too wide to move out of the way, and I don't have an unbreakable defensive powers that could block against that attack, but there has to be something I can do," Sydra says as he runs through all the powers he has. If he was on the ground then Ancient Root Defense could take some of the damage and give Sydra a chance, but he was currently thirty meters away from the ground.
As the saltwater closes in on him, Sydra decides to try something that has a very low chance of success and is incredibly risky. Curling up into a ball in the air, Sydra wraps his crystal wings around his body, then reinforces them with his bone armor. Once the bone armor covers the crystal wings, Sydra activates his fire aura to its highest degree and begins melting the two substances together. With the fire aura being so hot, Sydra uses his body's increased regeneration to keep himself from burning up, and his lightning aura to speed up the process.
"I hope this works," Sydra says as the beam of saltwater slams into his encased form, tearing at the crystalized bone around him. Using his manipulation of the substances around him, Sydra starts spinning the ball in a vortex motion to guide the saltwater past him.
Back on the ground, the group is attacking the turtle while it focuses its attack on Sydra. With most of the turtle's body being protected by the jade shell, the group is focusing their attacks on its underbelly.
"It's not working, our attack won't pierce through the turtle's thick skin," Sam says as his duel blades bounce off the turtle. Glancing back in the sky, the group can make out a sphere being spun in the air by the turtle's attack.
"I know, but we have to keep trying, as Sydra might not have much time left. If we can just get the turtle to turn its attention somewhere else, Sydra might be able to escape," Lorey says as she attacks the turtle's stomach with spikes of sandstone.
"The outside of the turtle is incredibly tough, but if we attack the inside of the turtle we might be able to do some damage," Gram says as he turns to look at Haley. "Do you think you can send your vibrations through the turtle's skin and attack its organs,?"
"I'm not sure, I've never used my power that way before," Haley says as she looks at the turtle with uncertainty. Placing her hand on its stomach, Haley starts sending small vibrations through her hand to locate the vital organs. "Stand back, the turtle might jolt from this," Haley says as the group nods and steps back a few meters.
Looking back into the sky, Haley notices that the beam is starting to die down and although the crystalized bone ball Sydra is in has multiple cracks covering the surface, it is still protecting him. Focusing back on the task, Haley starts building up a large amount of aura in her palm, before releasing a large vibration through the body of the turtle.
"Arr!" The turtle yells as the vibrations tear the organs apart, causing severe damage to the turtle. Whipping its body around, the turtle stares down at Haley, whose body is unwilling to move from using up so much aura in one attack. Lunging its bloody mouth forward, the turtle attempts to sink its sharp beak through Haley's body.
"Haley!" Lorey yells, running as fast as she can, with her arms outstretched towards Haley. Jumping through the air, Lorey pushes Haley to the ground and takes her place underneath the attack of the turtle. As a tear leaves her eye, Lorey turns to look at Haley who is struggling to get off the ground and save Lorey. "Live a good life," Lorey says as the mouth of the turtle bites into the ground around her.
"Hey now, you can't die yet," Sydra says as his foot slams into the side of the turtle's head with enough force to send the turtle flying through the air. Landing on the ground, Sydra holds out his hand to Lorey who is sitting in the middle of a circle in the shape of the turtle's mouth.
"What?" Lorey asks out loud as she looks up at Sydra, whose body is covered in small cuts from the seawater that had managed to get through his defenses.
"I said you can't die yet. We still need a leader, after all," Sydra says as Lorey takes his hand and stands up. Looking around, she notices that the turtle is laying on its back a few hundred meters away.
"How did you..?" Lorey begins to asks but is interrupted when Sydra holds up his hand.
"We can talk about that after we finish taking care of the turtle," Sydra says as he heals all his wounds and flies up into the air. Flapping his crystalized bone wings, Sydra flies over to the turtle and pulls out his ice dragon staff. Placing the staff on the turtle's stomach, Sydra begins freezing the damaged organs, which in turn ends the turtle's life.
"Hey, did you see how fast he moved earlier?" Sam asks as the group makes their way over to the turtle's frozen corpse. "My eyes couldn't even keep up with him,"
"I know, one second he was falling from the sky, and the next second he was sending the turtle through the air," Gram says, glancing back at the spot where the turtle had been. "Just how much strength was put into that kick?"
As the group stops beside the turtle, Sydra hops off its stomach and lands on the ground beside them. Calling his spiders back, Sydra picks up the egg and places it inside his Arbor Sanctum before noticing the other's curious gazes.
"If your curious about how I sent the turtle flying so far, I'm not sure what to tell you. All I did was use the momentum of my speed, and the fact that the turtle was slightly off-balance, to stop it from devouring Lorey as fast as I could," Sydra says as he pats the corpse of the turtle and sends it into his Arbor Sanctum as well.
"Ah... Well, thank you," Lorey says as she looks at the indent on the ground caused by the turtle slamming into it. "Should we finish exploring the museum now?" she asks as she turns back to the gaping hole in the wall.
