"I don't think she is dead yet, if we hurry we might be able to save her," Cidre said while using his Void Eyes to see Silf struggling to move. It seemed that the young girl had some resistance to the black needles poison, and the needle had only pierced through her shoulder. This left her on the verge of death, and if they hurried they could save her.
"Well then, let's kill these bastards," Sydra said as his lightning aura filled his body. With so much of it swirling inside his body, some of it began to leak out with his killing intent. His usually clear blue eyes now had an Ashgold sheen to them, and his bone armor quickly encased his body. Springing forward, Sydra left a crater in the ground as he flew down the steps with two shining daggers in his hands.
"Argh!!" Robert encased himself in fire aura and began racing down the stairs, leaving only a fire mirage of himself behind. Lifting how war hammer, he slammed it into the stairs and flipped into the air flying down the rest of the stairs. Right behind him was Erich, who was using kinetic force to propel himself down the steps. Every step he would take, he would send a bit of kinetic force into the ground, before calling it back into his body to give himself more momentum.
"I guess I got the long-range attacks then," Cidre said as he pulled out his bow and nocked an arrow. Pulling back the string, Cidre used his eyes to pinpoint all the weakness in the enemy's armor and fired towards those spits. As the arrow whistled through the air, Sydra reached the first Red Coat man. The creature seemed to have been the mix between a human and the Scorpedes, as it had the upper body of a human and the lower half was Scorpede. The red coat around its upper body seemed to have been made out of other Scorpedes shells, and underneath it was more red armor made from some type of mineral. Although it seemed to have a mostly human face, its black eyes were slanted, and it had a mask in the shape of a scorpion that covered its mouth.
'Shlick' Sydra's dagger slipped through the space between the mask and the armor on the neck, plunging deeply into the creature's head and killing it before it could even comprehend what happened. The next second, Sydra was in front of the next two, kneeling on the ground as he cut the tendons in their knees.
"Go to hell!" Robert yelled as he claimed his war hammer into the head of one of the falling Red Coats. The other one had his body shot into the air by Erich, who had released some of his stored kinetic energy into his mace.
"Hiss!" A Red Coat that had been behind the other three that just died hissed while firing out a black needle towards Robert. As the needle was about to plunge into the unsuspecting Robert, an arrow flew out of the distances and knocked the needle to the side, before a second arrow plunged itself into the Red Coat's chest.
"That's the first four, how many more do we have to take out?" Erich said as he started bouncing to build up more kinetic force. Looking around, he noticed that there were more of the Red Coats coming from the palace area and heading in their direction.
"Too many, we need to focus on saving Silf first. I need you two to hold off the incoming enemies while I try to grab her body and bring it back to Cidre. I'm hoping he can use his poison control power to pull the poison out of her body," Sydra said, before bolting towards Silf's body, not allowing the other two to say anything.
"Want to have a contest? I bet I can kill more of these assholes before you can," Robert said, as he jumped into the air and used his fire aura to guide his body through the air towards the incoming adversaries.
"Well, that's not fair, I can't fly," Erich said as he raced down the stairs after Robert. As each step he took lengthened in distance, Erich was able to quickly build up his reserves of kinetic force. Redirecting the force back out of his feet, Erich launched himself into the air in the direction of the Red Coats. As he slammed into the ground in the middle of the Red Coats, Erich absorbed all of the kinetic force that would have caused a normal person to break their legs and redirected it into his mace. Hitting one of the Red Coats nearest to him, Erich released all of the kinetic force into it.
As the Red Coat was disintegrated by the kinetic force running through its body, a wave of earth and air was formed that slammed into the Red Coate that had been running behind it. The Red Coats that were in the front of the group were immediately killed, and only those that were farther back managed to survive. At least for a few seconds before a roaring inferno of flames descended upon them with Robert in the middle of it. Robert slammed into the ground, creating a large crater before he jumped out of it and slammed his war hammer into the ground at the feet of one of the Red Coats.
'Pfft,' The Red Coat laughed, thinking that Robert had missed. Controlling its black needle, the Red Coat attempted to pierce it into Robert's heart. However, it missed when the ground underneath its feet began to tremble. Looking down, the Red Coat felt the life leave its body as red cracks of flowing magma began to appear.
"Haha, I call that my Magma Slam! I create it by sending my fire aura through my war hammer and into the ground. When the heat of the fire aura melts the ground, and the force of the hammer breaks it, it causes this effect," Robert exclaimed as the magma erupted from the ground and swallowed the Red Coat.
On the other side of the battlefield, Sydra was busy fighting his way through some of the Red Coats that had managed to sneak past the others. As he ran across the lawn, Sydra was continuously dodging the needles being fired at him while firing back daggers. He had used his spiders to hold on to the daggers again, but he had already lost one dagger when a needle tore through the web-connected to it.
"Dang it, that was one of my favorite daggers, I'll have to get back after I kill you all," Sydra said as he dodged underneath another needle. Covering his hand in more bone armor, Sydra grabbed the needle out of the air and fired it back at lightning speed. The needle that had just been sent out quickly found its way back to its owner, through his heart.
"Thump, thump thump," The sound of three arrows hitting their marks surprised Sydra as he watched three bodies fall to the ground. Although the Red Coats weren't moving as fast as Sydra, they were still moving pretty fast, so the fact that Cidre could hit them from that distance was astonishing.
"Glad I have him on my side, if he gets any better he might be able to hit me," Sydra said as he slid underneath one of the Red Coats and cut off all its legs. Standing back up, he noticed he was only a few feet away from Silf, but he still had three Red Coats in front of him. "Guess I get to try out my new move!" Sydra said as he began to spin a dagger in a circle around him at incredible speeds.
"What is he doing now?" Cidre asked as he nocked more arrows in his bow and aimed them towards some Red Coats that were trying to sneak up behind Sydra. Looking back at Sydra, Cidre noticed that two shields of Ashgold lightning seemed to be forming in the air around him. Sydra was spinning the dagger while channeling his lightning aura through the web that was connected, and this created a lighting shield. All of a sudden the lightning left the strands connected to the daggers, and the two shields flew through the air towards two of the Red Coats. The shields had become sharp flying projectiles that ripped through the Red Coats, ignoring all their armor like it was butter. With the two Red Coats falling, Sydra flashed in front of the last one and pierced both his daggers through its neck.
"Dang, that was cool," Cidre murmured as he watched Sydra pick up Silf's limp body, and begun running back towards Cidre with it. With the girl in his arms, Sydra was reliant on Cidre to finish off any of the Red Coats that came at him.
"Control the poison inside her body and bring it back out!" Sydra said as he appeared in front of Cidre and gently put Silf down.
