Casper was trying to leave that tunnel as fast as he could after all the destruction that he made a while ago. He checked his own body sometimes. If he had even the slightest scratch, it would be enough to incriminate him for everything that happened that day.
After leaving the tunnel, he turned right and accelerated as much as possible. He avoided the other bikes in front, and always made sure to get out of sight of the numerous ships that were flying above him, particularly the ones that were flying too low.
He was so absorbed in getting out of that situation, and without killing someone, that he was unsure of what differences the Ridire's ships had from the other common ships. The max he could remember was the cirenes and that the ships had just two people inside them.
Looking more attentively now, Casper could notice that those ships remembered the Drakkars, those boats with a dragon-like shape that Nordics used in their navigations.
Some of them had a lot of sits and were more extensive. It was just like a bus or something. Sometimes it would stop in certain locations where the passengers would leave and some more would enter.
Despite them, there were also ships with way fewer sits. Sometimes even with just a single one. They were smaller than the others and seemed to fly faster as well.
Casper realized that they flew like that because of air thrusters, which were responsible to make them keep floating on air, go in all directions, and rotate.
"Now I have to find some way to get out of here. Maybe that fuss from a while ago alarmed the Ridire and they went to chase after me inside the tunnel, but it's just a matter of time before they realize that I ran away again."
Casper was traveling through the streets at such a high pace that he did not even know if he had lost sight of a Teleporting pad. Still, he could not persist with that paranoia.
Keep the speed like that was a must to not be found by the Ridire. And if he turned back to confirm if he left nothing slip out, he would lose a lot of time.
His best choice was to drive inside that big city and pray to bump into a Teleporting pad.
However, Casper would not bump into something good on the first try.
"Look out!" He was in the middle of a crossroad when a ship appeared on his left side, going forth at an insane speed, flying very close to the ground.
Before Casper could realize what they were doing, someone popped out from the vehicle wielding something that Casper could not see but judged to be a long and thick wood bat.
The action lasted for some seconds. Just the time to the Drakkar appear at the same time as Casper was crossing at the maximum speed that crossroad.
The ship passed behind him, its body a few centimeters away from the rear wheel of the bike. And with the perfect timing, before Casper could increase the distance, that person wielding the bat smashed it against the wheel, which easily jumped out of the bike.
The wheel was not the only thing that got spelled from the motorcycle. Casper was in the middle air as well, with the world freezing around him.
"I can't! I can't get any damage here. I need to do something! Something…" In a split-second decision, Casper spun in the air, right before the moment when he would crash on the ground
His left foot stomped hard as long as it landed. Casper felt a subtly and insane pain going through his body at that exact moment and he nearly faltered.
The speed he was thrown was very high, so just a stomp would not save him. His body was still in an impetus straight.
He kept focusing in put one leg after another, following that rhythm and stomping hard on the ground. He was nearly unbalancing the body and falling, with his upper body leaning forward.
After some steps he tripped on his foot, falling rolling on the ground for some meters.
Once it ended, he crouched, inspecting his body.
"A-apparently… Unharmed…" He sighed, don't knowing how he could have done such a thing. His heart looked like it was frozen because a while ago be was not hearing it at all.
He stood up, and then his left ankle sent a shock to his entire body, almost making him kneel again.
"Or… almost unharmed…" He gritted his teeth while grimacing.
"This god damn ankle never twisted so hard before… Man, will I be able to walk afterward?"
He tried to walk, putting more weight on his right foot. That one was in pain as well, but way less than the left. His knees also were faltering, it was a bothering matter, but nothing major.
"It hurts like hell, but as long as I can avoid hurting myself in explicit spots, everything is okay. Until now, none of my injuries are visible."
Casper had not the time to think much, soon more Ridire's ships and bikes started to turn the streets and go to where he was.
Casper focused, avoiding panic. He learned that, whatever the situation, the better thing to do was to keep his brain operating at its full capacity and look around.
The battle is always made up of allies, enemies, and terrain. As long as you can take advantage of the territory you are in, the enemy will never have a chance against you.
He looked back and forth, left to right, turning around. His eyes stopped in somewhere.
"That's it! It's more dangerous than anything else, but it's better than me being surrendered and discovered."
Casper ran towards a construction where a loud noise was coming out. The building did not have a ceiling and was round.
He was limping hard, but there was nothing he could do to stop that. He could only bear that pain and effort as much as possible.
He entered the building by the main entrance, which led to the grandstands of that local.
It was one of the artificial battlefields spread through Uppsala.
That one was even bigger than the another he saw before. There might be around fifty warriors fighting down there (this without counting the fans who also joined). If Casper had to measure, that Battlefield had the same size as a football field.
The grandstands were not that big. Even with his ankle almost broken, Casper could easily go down there.
He looked to the entrance and the Ridire were already entering and warning him to stay still.
Casper ignored them and jumped to the inside of that field. The impact made him suffer a lot, but he bore the pain and rushed forward.
He heard that the spectators on the grandstands got excited suddenly. Looking around he could not notice if one of the warriors had made an outstanding feat, everything was about the same as before.
He took a glance behind and saw that even down there the Ridire were entering and chasing after him with spirited roars. The crowd was going crazy because of it, and soon every single spectator was jumping inside the field as well.
"Oh, man… I need to stop thinking that those guys are cops or militaries coming from a movie or something. They are freaking nordic warriors. They will keep fighting even with a sword crossed in their chests!"
Casper would not have the time to avoid the fuss. He needed to cross the field straightforward, even if it meant to pass in the middle of a brutal battle.
Soon, the new challengers clashed with the others who were already there before. The spectators would pick everything they could find in the ground as a weapon or even go with their bare hands.
The Ridire started to get excited too, and take their fights seriously while still chasing after Casper.
The battlefield did not have laws anymore. It was a generalized brawl.
There were just a few people who were still on the grandstands, and they were mostly elder people and kids (though Casper had seen an old man butchering a warrior with an ax bigger than his own body).
Some of the ships were rounding up the Battlefield, giving some skids, and trying to find Casper. There were three of them watching the battle from high.
In one of these skids, a bunch of warriors entered the Drakkars, roaring and fighting with the Ridires inside there. The snipers that were meant to shoot at Casper started to fire against the Battlefield at whoever appeared in the aim.
The White warrior kept running forward, deviating from every enemy that appeared.
A great sword lined up with his eyes, drawing a bow in the air in the direction of his head. He ducked, but put too much weight on his left foot and ended up falling on the ground.
He turned belly up, paying attention to his surroundings. Someone appeared and raised a spear, going to execute Casper.
When the spear descended the soldier grabbed it in the middle air, holding the cable with both hands.
He did a jiu-jitsu technique called Omoplata in the spear as if it was someone's arm. Doing pressure with both, legs and hands, he broke the spear's cable.
Casper picked the tip of the spear and trusted with it in the leg of his attacker, who backed crying in pain.
Casper was trying to raise his upper body, but someone else tried to rip his head off.
The warrior was with a short sword and swung it towards his throat while running forward.
Casper rotated his body on the ground and launched a kick with his right foot in the warrior's ankle before he could finish the attack. As he was running, the warrior fell on the ground beside the White warrior.
After retaliate, he got up again, struggling with his left foot, but managing to start to run again.
Some of the Ridire could pass through the battle just like him, and gave chase.
Casper went to the gate on the other side of the field, passing through it and going out on the streets again.
"Crap! Are you freaking serious? How much more mess will you need to do today, Casper!?"
He saw a large Drakkar flying wildly above, people were fighting inside there. The flying boat was spinning around, with its air thrusters going crazy. Soon, it crashed against a building, getting inside it.
Casper was pale.
"Now, it's a matter of fact: I am screwed. It's not about the plan being successful or not; if they find out that it was me who made all this mess, I will be jailed for sure. At least, I built a bond with the Princess strong enough to make her regret to kill me."
Casper was looking up to that tragedy that occurred on that building. Then, suddenly, a blue light could be seen on the street behind it.
"There it is! My ticket to go out of this freaking Uppsala!"
Then, he ran to meet the Teleporting pad that would save his life.
