The ghost at the girl's locker room pointed at another spirit that is in the school. The girl's locker room ghost told them to go to the rooftop after Adrian's persistence. The locker room ghost immediately scurried after Adrian let go of it as if it ran for its ghostly life.
"Did you finish your business there? I saw something like a golden light inside, but it only lit up the inside a little. You do not have to worry as no one is able to notice it due to the night guard not doing his rounds here." Jihan stated.
"That is good as my abilities become a little bright whenever I try and hold ghosts down. It is the reason why I want you to go and observe outside." Adrian replied.
"Did you get the information that you want?" Jihan asked.
"I did. The perverted ghost said that it was some sort of black mass that came into the locker room and mess with the items inside. The ghost said that this black mass seemed to be looking for something. It must not be related to spirits since the grim reapers are not acting." Adrian speculated.
"Do grim reapers only move when it comes to troubles regarding spirits?" Jihan asked as he was only given rough details on what they truly do.
"They do not come in contact with the living because they are not supposed to. They could do some minor requests for the spirits of the dead like sending a last message or something similar. Other than that, they must never interfere in the world of the living or else they would get punished." Adrian stated as it is the rule that he himself imposed when he decided to do that.
"I am curious though. If the grim reapers are real, then does that mean the angel of death is just made up?" Jihan asked a question that made Adrian smile.
"Have you seen an angel before though? I mean…you assume that the angel of death is not real which is why you are asking that question, are you not? It is also an indirect question to me if the angel of death is real." Adrian stated.
"You are not wrong as Dustan already told us that there is no such thing as guardian angels. You told him that so that means that it is true. Does that mean that angels do not exist and are just a work of fiction?" Jihan stated as even the text in their family rarely spoke of these angels that everyone talks about.
"If you mean the depiction of angels now like beautiful human looking individuals with wings then you are correct. A real angel does not look like that." Adrian stated as the beautified depiction of angels are not what they really look like.
"What do angels look like then?" Jihan asked as they are now proceeding towards the rooftop at a steady pace.
"Have you ever wondered why in sacred texts that angels always say, 'Do not be afraid'?" Adrian stated in order to give Jihan a hint.
"Does that mean that the angels look fierce and stuff? I mean…they will not say that unless they are not normal looking after all." Jihan stated but Adrian just smiled.
"Let us just say that they definitely do not look human at all. There are ones that have a humanoid figure, but they are not human looking in a sense. From my experience, angels change their form when they descend to give blessings or miracles to humans.
I guess that should be the reason why they are depicted as human looking. Their real form is vastly different from their form when they descend on Earth." Adrian stated as he told Jihan to open the door leading to the rooftop since it is locked.
"I see. Can you share your sight to me when you see one? I am just curious after all since there was one incident in my childhood that can only be called a miracle." Jihan stated as he broke the door handle.
"You seem to almost get the sight as you can already feel the aura of ghosts. You just need to breakthrough as you practitioners of martial arts call it." Adrian stated as he led the way to the rooftop.
When Adrian and Jihan went to the rooftop, they were greeted by a man in a black and white suit with a black trench coat. The man looked at them, but he did not look bothered of the two people that entered since he already finished his job.
"Hello." Adrian stated.
The man in a black suit is shocked upon learning that someone could see it. The only reasonable explanation is that the boy in front of it is actually a shaman or someone gifted with the sight. He thought that it is just better to disappear, but he can sense something strange with the boy.
"Who are you talking to?" Jihan asked.
"There is a grim reaper here with us right now. Do you want to see him?" Adrian replied.
"Uhmm…no thanks. I am good." Jihan replied with a slight panicked chuckle.
"Before you escort that ghost there, can you give us some time to talk with it? We need to ask it about the incident that happened in this very rooftop." Adrian stated.
"Sorry, kid. I am only doing my job and even shamans cannot interfere in the business of the grim reapers. Just call her using a séance or something after she passes through the afterlife." The grim reaper replied.
"We cannot wait 40 days longer as we are sort of in a hurry. Our mission is a bit time sensitive you see. It will only take about a few minutes." Adrian stated.
"Sorry but I am also in a schedule. Goodbye." The grim reaper stated as he opened some sort of door, but he was unable to get inside as his feet could not move.
"Our mission is more important than yours after all." Adrian stated as he activated his ability which made even the reluctant Jihan see the grim reaper.
"Who are you!?" The grim reaper stated.
