She edged slowly into the house and started walking through the corridor, at each door she stopped and put her ear close to the door.
She had passed four doors so far, two to the left and two to the right and heard nothing.
So she decided to open the next door
"Squeak" the door made a slight sound as it swung inwards.
The room was dark but with the help of a dim light coming from the edges of the tube that stood at the center of the room, she could tell it was large.
The light from the tube illuminated the figure of a person inside the tube.
There was a liquid in the tube with bubbles floating to the surface of the liquid.
There were many pipes and wires connected into and out of the tube.
Freya kept staring at the figure inside the tube, she went closer to have a better look at the figure in the he tube.
The person or whatever it was inside the tube had long ears, a crescent shaped eyelid and hairs that floated up to the surface of the water.
The figure looked human but it's shape was slightly different from that of a human.
The curves and edges of it's body we're more defined in what looked like a streamlined manner.
Then she noticed the wires coming out of some slots in the tube, she followed the wires and they ran to the back of the tube.
The cluster if wires were connected to a three monitors which were behind the tube.
There were values and various information on the monitors which Freya couldn't understand.
But she could understand a bit of what was on the third monitor which was to her far right.

There were a whole lot of other things that were on the monitor that she couldn't understand.
Mostly a bunch of numbers and symbols.
"Why is there an elf here" she asked herself.
The elves stayed very far away from the human race due to some feud in the past.
It was unheard of for an elf to cross the boundary over to the human side or a human to cross over to the elves.
If any of each ever did, they never returned, so an elf couldn't have come here of it's free will.
But there was on right here, in her front, staring at her through closed eyelids.
"What is this place" Freya was more confused than ever, now wishing she had someone to throw these questions at.
Staring at the elf in the tube, she backed away from the room and exited into the corridor.
She continued her journey forward, with no idea where she wanted to go.
She had walked a reasonable distance away from the basement, but it still looked like the corridor stretched on till forever.
After a few doors, she opened another.
The room was just like the previous, large room with a tube in the middle. And three monitors behind the tube with multiple wires running to and fro.
She walked up to the tube, there was a woman in this particular tube, Freya went up to the tube and stared closely at the woman in the tube.
Just like the elf, she was naked except for a little cloth covering the pelvis area.
Her red hair, similar to Freya's floated atop The water her slim neck was a pale yellow color just as the rest of her body.
'It must be the effect of the light and the liquid on her body' Freya thought.
So probably the elf was not really yellowish green as she had thought.
Her firm breasts stood erect totally unclad, and her flat stomach moved in and out very slowly in a rhythmic fashion to portray her slow breathing.
Freya walked around to the back of the tube to have a look at the monitors.
Just like the previous there were the same numbers and strange symbols that Freya couldn't identify.
And the third monitor displayed

At the number 4809, Freya wondered how many people or creatures they had trapped in a tube.
This place was quite large, but they couldn't be up to four thousand. Or could they?
Freya left the room and continued on towards the center of the house.
She continued walking, dismissing the other doors around as she didn't have time to inspect all the doors in the house.
After passing almost thirty doors, she heard voices coming from a door, she went towards the door and put her ear to it.
The words were still muffled, Freya moved her hands towards the handle of the door, but before she made contact, she immediately thought better of it and moved away.
It was better to keep her mission stealthy as far as she could.
She came up to an intersection in the corridor, to the right the corridor stretched as far as the eye could see and the same to the left.
She was still contemplating on which way to go when, she saw two figures in red and black cloak come out of a door in the corridor up front.
Freya immediately dived to the corridor at the right, almost at the same moment she heard the sound of a door opening in right corridor too.
Freya without thinking immediately opened the door to the closest room and dived into it without waiting to see what was inside.
The light from the room she opened, flooded into the corridor.
She immediately closed the door and leaned against it holding her breath as the footsteps drew closer and hoping they hadn't seen the light from the room.
She braced for attack but the footsteps passed by and faded into the distance.
"Whew" she breathed a sigh of relief.
"Who are you" sounded a voice from the room
"What the…"
