Chapter 12 - Game changer

-Gwyn's point of view-

I woke up staring at a wooden ceiling "uh, where am I?" I groaned, I looked around the room, it was a small roughly ten by eight room, I tried to get up only to see binds on me, I chuckled to myself "this feels familiar."

The door opened, "ah, I see you're awake." I looked at who was speaking, it was the guild master, "guild master I apologise for earlier." I bowed as best I could, "kid" Natasha looked at me with sad eyes, "during our test you had clear sighs of possession," I froze. If she knew that then would they get a priest to exorcise the voice?

I looked over to Natasha with baited breath "and what happened?" Natasha sighed "other than putting those suppressive binds? nothing," I sighed with relief "but. We don't want it popping back up and causing problems. So, I'm sending you to a recently discovered dungeon that is said to have a mask with suppressive powers." she continued "Hopefully it will be strong enough to suppress that demon in you."

I thought for a while before answering "how difficult is the dungeon? What's my combat potential?" She looked at me and laughed "trust me, you'll be fine, but I can't tell you your combat potential just yet." After saying that she turned to leave "I'll give you the info in a few days, try not to draw attention. Here is the key to some of the binds, for more mobility." She threw me a key then left.

The door closed leaving me alone 'trust huh? I'll have trouble doing that after what happened.' I tsked 'won't even tell me my combat potential' I thought back to the year the voice and I shared 'was that all a lie?' I was very conflicted. I looked down at the binds on me 'let's get some of these off'

I sat down at the desk in the room playing with a piece of void. It's what I named the pitch-black magic. 'Now that the voice is gone I don't have anyone watching my back…literally.' I sat there for a few minutes before realising something. 'what if…it wouldn't work…right?' I started to play around with some void, shaping and molding it, building it up until 'it…worked? It fucking worked!' on the table sat a pitch-black mouse. I could see through its eyes because of my connection to the void.

'If it can move around, this will change everything. My recon ability has increased and the danger has almost been negated.' I started to get excited 'now let's see how far it can go.' I set the mouse on the ground and made it move to go under the door.

Once the mouse went under the door I realised where I was. It looked to be upstairs in one of the guest rooms in the guildhall 'this is good to know' I said to myself. I looked around with the mouse's eyes and noticed a set of stairs. I went down and saw a crowded room with people from all different races and genders yelling, drinking, laughing, and picking up requests.

I walked around some more and saw the stairs I took to take the written test. After a few minutes, I dematerialized the mouse 'well, wasn't that a successful experiment. I this I'll name you…' I thought on its name for a while before thinking of a good name for a pitch-black mouse 'I think I'll name you…little blue.' I rematerialized little blue 'how does that sound?' little blue made a small squeak 'I knew you'd love it' I dematerialized him again and went to get some food.
