Two weeks had passed since graduation and there were still no signs of Luke anywhere. Marie wondered if he was okay of something had happened. There was nothing not even signs of crime committed by him. Everything seemed odd. Marie could not help but worry. Especially since what happened last night.
Flashback
"Thank you for joining us, you are watching Canada's top news at 5:00 I am Angie Roberts. Tonight, we are joined by the chief of police Jordan Parks to hear the latest news on Canada's most wanted criminal the notorious Shadow Cat. Officer Parks is it true that police are stopping the identity search for the criminal?" "No ma'am not necessarily we didn't give up but there is nothing more to search. Our past searched have come to a dead end and unfortunately there has not been any signs of the mask criminal for the past month leaving us nothing to go by. It is lead to believe that the criminal lost his life in the past gang war but was unmasked before police were called to the seen, therefore we were not aware of who he was."
End of flashback
Marie panicked this could not be true. Her kitty could not be dead. Not Luke not him she would have found out wouldn't I? Marie then decided to call AJ. She needed to know the truth. But now Marie is faced with a dilemma. One involving feelings. AJ stated that he is fine that he is safe but then why hasn't he so much as called?
He promised he would come back for her but then why was not giving her any signs of life? Was everything a joke to him? Was the ring, the letter all a joke to him? She hoped it wasn't she had never loved anyone like she loved him. At this point Marie did not know what to think anymore but one thing is certain she will keep her pregnancy a secret for Shadow Cat.
A month has now passed since graduation and still there is no sign of Shadow Cat. For the past week AJ has tried contacting Marie but she refuses to answer. Marie was now upset, angry and simply hurt. After all this time and Shadow had not even tried on contacting her. Marie was now starting to believe that he never cared, that he had always been playing her, maybe he found someone else and no longer thinks of her. She was so naïve to believe that he actually loved her but thanks to Randy she is not anymore. That's right Randy! Marie met randy during a long shift at work and they have been close ever since.
Flashback
Marie- "Hello sir what can I get for you?"
???- "A black coffee please"
Marie- after 2 minutes "Here you go sir anything else I can get for you tonight."
???- "Your company would be nice"
Marie- "Excuse me"
???- "I mean you seem like a nice girl and it had been a long hard day and it would be nice to be able to talk to someone. It's usually only me."
Marie- "Oh sorry. Umm I guess you are right it is always nice to talk to someone. Ok but I don't get off for another 5 minutes if you don't mind waiting."
???- "5 minutes is not long I can wait."
After the 5 minutes Marie came back and the two talked for what seemed like hours. They managed to learn each other's likes, dislikes, hobbies, and dreams, past. It was as if he understood her as if he had known her for years. "Randy my name is Randy and it is nice to meet you Marie." Marie later found out that Randy was 20 and he was working for his father and was here in Canada for business.
Randy- "So is there a boyfriend?"
Marie- "Umm well no. Not really. I thought there was but apparently it was all a lie. I haven't heard from him in months."
Randy- "From the sounds of it he never cared about you. I don't mean to sound like a jerk but maybe he was just using you. Some men are really sick like that."
Marie- "Yeah I guess"
Randy- "But you know not because he was stupid and didn't care means no one else will. Maybe it's time to give someone else a chance."
Marie- "Hahaha yeah that would be nice. When you find him please do tell me who he is."
Randy- "Well, he is right in front of you. I mean me. Maybe you can go on a date with me."
Marie- "I don't know, I am not ready yet and there is still a lot you don't know about me."
Randy - "Hence the reason for the date so we can get to know each other better. Come on go on a date with me and if at the end you don't like me then we can just be friends and if you do, we can see where it goes."
Marie- "Ok I'll think about it."

Marie thought about her conversation with Randy all night afterwards. Did Shadow really use me? Did he really just want to play with my feelings? Did he think that was ok? The thought made her blood boil. Maybe Randy was right if he really did care he would have came back by now but he didn't. He had not even tried to call her. Randy is right maybe it's time for her to move on.
"Well, it looks like I have a date with Randy soon."
