Chapter 31 - Mysterious Black Tower

Sadly, this glorious dream did not come true as the Spirit Progenitor had died prematurely due to the Immemorial War that took place long ago, his death completely eliminated his chances to improve their racial talent.

The death of the Spirit Progenitor also dealt a great blow to the race as a whole, their sole protection died and they were inevitably got suppressed by other races.

They did not want the Spirit Race to have another genius such as their Progenitor, they completely sealed the chances of the spirit race to rise.

This suppression continued until the spirit race collapsed as a whole, some died while others became fugitives on the hide, while the 4 Ancient Spirits were sealed away.

The myriad races did not hunt the remnants of the spirit race and let them off, they were confident that even if the spirit race came back for revenge, they would still be able to easily deal with them as long as their Spirit Progenitor remained dead.

Undine did not know of the sealing places of her other kindred as they were separately sealed by that mysterious in unknown locations.

She wanted to help her kin remove the seals on them the moment she got out but this plan was completely thwarted the moment the 3 girls obstructed her path.

After the Annihilating Ray pierced her forehead, Undine had also finished adjusting to her boosted powers.

She calculated that her strength had more or less increased by a terrifying amount of 300%!!

She felt that she was extremely powerful that she even felt that she had the strength to cut a whole planet in half.

Undine abruptly opened her eyes, her ocean blue eyes were glowing brightly with unparalleled battle intent, the hole on her forehead rapidly mended back to its initial state.

She did not say anything and just gave a fierce glare towards the cautious Yellow before she swiftly dashed towards her.

At this moment, her blue battle dress was rid of its charred appearance, she looked resplendent yet heroic at the same time while her momentum was extremely fierce.

Undine tightly gripped her exquisite blue crystal longsword, the weapon's momentum was oppressing and sharp with the intent to kill every enemy that blocks its path.

The moment Undine opened her eyes, Yellow immediately felt great pressure from her, she was prepared thus she gritted her teeth and threw the white rabbit towards the fast approaching Undine.

Throwing her pet towards Undine seemed like a desperate action to protect herself selfishly and Undine disdained this 'desperate' action of hers.

She gave Yellow a disgusted look she did not felt a single ounce of pity towards the shivering rabbit at all, she instead increased the force of her momentum.

Yellow did not stay on one spot after she threw the white rabbit, she rapidly retreated towards the position of White who was currently busy setting up a barrier to protect them.

Green was still hidden somewhere around the tall towering trees and no one knows of her accurate position.

After being thrown towards the ferocious-looking Undine, the white shivering rabbit was shrieking pitifully as if it hoped for Undine to show mercy at it, it looked extremely cute and pitiful right now.

But it saw that Undine had no plans to show any mercy thus it cried out and the next moment it radiated with an intense red glow.

It was as if Undine had triggered its hidden survival instinct.

Meanwhile, Mirage who was lost in the data void.

He was grumbling about the situation he was in, he couldn't find anything here, he was also frustrated that he could not open his game panel.

Why was he 'offline' when he's obviously still inside the game? This doesn't make sense at all.

He endlessly cursed the developers who created this shabby game, he wondered how could such a game be approved by the government.

Were they dumb or dumb? Either way, they are dumb.

He was suspicious but he didn't have the time to think about useless things, he had to get out of this strange space before he would lose his mind.

He irritatingly wondered to himself out loud.

"Just why am I sent to this kind of dull and boring space?!"

He had already said this exact same sentence for at least 10 times already and he still had not found the answer for it.

He felt helpless and bitter about his situation and could only look below his feet while walking.

He saw his tired face perfectly reflected on the mirror-like surface of the floor.

He had long azure hair messily tied into a ponytail, black sharp eyebrows, a tall nose, and firm red lips.

At this moment, his handsome face looks extremely haggard and blurry, as if he was on the verge of dissipation.

It was obvious from the lethargic image of his that he needed to rest, but would he even be able to rest in this unknown place?

He tiredly sighed and was about to look up when he noticed an abnormality at the corner of his eyes.

He focused his attention on that oddity and found that a tall and blurry object was reflected on the floor.

He hurriedly looked up but did not see anything thus he looked down again, this time the tall blurry object appeared more vivid.

It was a tall black tower.

His pupils constricted and silently thought to himself.

'Am I having illusions because of my fatigue?'

He closed his eyes and raised both of his hands to slap his cheeks, a loud slap resounded as his palms touched his cheeks.

His cheeks were dyed red due to the force of impact and they even looked a bit swollen.

It may seem childish but it was quite effective in quelling his lethargy.

He silently thought to himself.

'I should be not seeing things anymore right?'

He opened his eyes and looked towards the ground, his pupils constricted violently as he could still see the figure of the proudly standing tall black tower.

'What the hell is this tower?! Is it a ghost tower or something?!'

He almost shouted his thoughts out loud and was quite fortunate that he managed to hold his mouth in time.

He looked up again but no matter where he looked he still could not see even the silhouette of the said black tower.

He raised his guards up and remained vigilant of his surroundings, he was afraid that something horrible might come out of that mysterious tower.

He narrowed his eyes and carefully examined his surroundings while slowly walking his way forward.

He was walking vigilantly for quite some time before he discovered a peculiar sight ahead of him.

The background around him was still the same grey and lifeless color, but in front of him, he could see a transparent outline of something tall.

If he had not examined his surroundings carefully he would've missed this peculiarity.

He looked down and found that the tall black tower was now missing, he was shocked thus he hurriedly looked up.

He was once again given a huge shock, not far from him was a tall magnificent black tower, its appearance was unexpected and so sudden.

He could now see the exterior appearance of the mysterious tower.

It was a tall building that proudly stood vertically, its surface looks rough, it seemed to be made of black material as its black color seemed to be natural and didn't look like it was painted.

He could see faint mystical rainbow lights flickering on its stony surface, the lights were extremely faint and weak as if it would stop flickering any second now.

He had no idea of what the tower was made of but it looked extremely durable in his eyes.

He looked up further and felt a sudden jolt in his mind, he was surprised by this discovery.

On top of the tower was a clean diagonal cut that made the tower look like it had a diagonal top.

The cut was extremely neat to the point that it was barely noticeable, it made the tower look like it was naturally made to look like that.

This shocking discovery gave Mirage a peculiar feeling on his chest, he felt rather stifled by the ruined appearance of the black tower.

It was like its image would be forever etched in his mind and he had no idea why he felt like this.

Mirage held his chin with his left hand and wondered out loud, his voice filled with confusion and curiosity.

"What is this tower? Why... does it look like this now?"

He was lost in his thought when he suddenly saw the game panel appearing in front of his surprised eyes.

Then rows of notifications flooded his game screen, flooding it until he could not see the buttons anymore.

He spent some time sorting the notifications out and managed to find the most latest notifications.
