He felt an extremely bad feeling coming from these unknown cards and thought that it would be best to stop Mirage from successfully executing his unknown plans to these cards.
He sneakily looked at Qianna who was curiously looking at the golden cards with an expression of awe and fascination.
Although she was indeed distracted by the cards this did not mean that she was distracted enough for her to not feel any sudden movements around her.
He retracted his gaze and silently thought of a plan while waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike the unguarded Mirage.
Meanwhile, Mirage was about to open the 6th golden card.
The 5th card was the Tinkerer class which he found useless and a money-consuming class.
Tinkerers burn money as if they were splurging water and he could not afford to spend such enormous amounts of money especially that he was only a solo player with no guild or people backing him up.
Tinkerers need time to create and assemble their gadgets, they were able to create multiple gadgets to use as well but they could only create and use one gadget in the early phases of the class.
This upper limit would slowly increase as their class progressed but this long process would usually take a long amount of time, possibly years or even tens of years.
[ You have declined to become a Tinkerer. ]
[ The Tinkerer Class has been removed. ]
[ You may now choose and open another card. ]
He finally chose the 6th golden card and flipped it open to reveal its contents to him.
The background of the card was that of a vast and empty unknown space, an unknown blurry figure of a man could be seen at the center of the mysterious space.
The man wore a long black robe while he was making various complicated hand gestures in the air.
The gestures weren't accurately depicted as it only showed blurred and strange hand seals being rapidly made, they looked incomprehensible yet strangely appealing to the eyes at the same time.
The unknown man had an aura that could make his brain hurt and tremble, his mind was greatly affected by the aura that the man had emitted.
He suddenly felt various kinds of emotions welling up inside him but they had also disappeared like a fleeting wind.
He was extremely shocked by the mighty prowess of the unknown man in the card and shockingly thought to himself.
'What a strong influential aura he has!'
He had a vague idea of what the class was but was not too sure if it's really like what he was thinking.
Thus he could only wait impatiently for the class notification to appear.
He had not waited for too long as he had indeed received the notification not long later.

[ Change Class to Psychic? ( YES | NO ) ]
He felt excitement for the first time and excitedly thought to himself.
'As expected! It's the Psychic class indeed!'
He was extremely curious about this class called Psychic that are able to manipulate the minds of their targets.
Like a string puppet dancing through his hands.
This should've been his second choice after the Mage class but up until now, he had not even seen the shadows of the said class thus he was quite reluctant to reject the card.
He sighed and dejectedly thought to himself.
'If only I could temporarily set this card aside... What a pity.'
He reluctantly pressed the NO button and the same thing as the other cards happened.
The golden ball went back and he received notifications after.
[ You have declined to become a Psychic. ]
[ The Psychic Class has been removed. ]
[ You may now choose and open another card. ]
He was about to choose the next card when he suddenly heard Qianna's concerned and anxious cry.
"Watch out!"
He found this quite baffling thus he looked in her direction and saw that she was looking at something.
He turned to look as well and there he found three fast approaching explosive daggers, their target was him.
His expression rapidly crumbled, although he received an HP increase due to Undine he would still be in a critical situation if he would let these daggers hit him and explode.
But he was quite indecisive right now as he didn't know what would happen to the golden cards if he were to run away.
Would the cards follow him? Or would the game system deem the class change as abandoned due to him running away? He did not know!
He subconsciously glanced towards the remaining few golden cards then dreadfully glanced towards the daggers that were just a few meters away from him.
His hesitation did not last long and he shouted to himself with gritted teeth and flipped a random card open.
'Screw it! I'll take a gamble!'
This reckless gamble of his would be his future path, it would've been fine if he had not discarded the Psychic class yet as he would've chosen to become one, but he had already rejected to become a Psychic so how could he possibly become one?
It would all depend on his luck now, would he be able to get what he wanted or the thing that he most hated? He did not know.
All that he knew was that he had a 25% chance of successfully choosing the Mage card.
Mirage anxiously stared at the golden card, he never knew that time would be this excruciatingly slow.
The card finally flipped open although he could not examine it in full details, he could still see an unknown man wearing a long hooded robe and held a long magic staff in his hand.
He sighed in relief and excitedly thought to himself.
'It's the Mage Class!'
Without waiting for the notification to appear, he shouted.
"I want to change class to Mage right now!"
[ You have confirmed to become a Spell Caster. ]
[ Class Change initiating in 3..2..1.. ]
The other two people beside Mirage were given a huge shock, especially the cocky Aaron.
He thought that he had the victory in his hands but he hadn't known that things would suddenly go awry.
They finally knew the use and purpose of these golden cards and they hadn't expected that they would be able to grant Mirage a class change opportunity, they were gobsmacked and they did not know how to react for a moment there.
Then Aaron suddenly remembered the books he has read in the library of his organization.
If he remembered it right, these cards should be called the Golden Class Cards that are able to allow a person of a specific level to change their classes.
At that time, he just thought that it was just a myth and there's no way for it to be true, how could a mere card possibly help a person to change their classes? That's quite unbelievable.
He had read in the book that these golden cards have already existed since time immemorial, no one knows where did these mystical cards came from.
The sole purpose of these cards was to help the myriad races to change their classes.
It wasn't written in the book of what benefits or additional effects would those people who chose to undergo their class change using these golden cards.
It was said that these cards had gone missing since the Immemorial War happened but who would've thought that these mythical golden cards would appear in front of them?
And these cards were all summoned by Mirage, how could they not feel shocked and surprise?
Qianna was just fine albeit a bit shock, but Aaron wasn't, he's feeling extremely anxious right now.
He did not know why or how did Mirage manage to summon these mythical golden cards to aid his change class.
But there's a common occurrence around the whole of Dystopia that the process of class change would bring something good to the individual undergoing the process. ( Author's Note: I don't know how to rephrase this prick of a sentence. )
The change class would bring unimaginable benefits to the said individual undergoing class change.
