Chapter 33 - Second lesson

"Rosalina, you are the next. Who would you pick?"

"I want the big cat!" She mocked, pointed to Delun.

"Second lesson, the dark wraiths always choose you, target your ass and you can't do damn to stop that! Show me your strategy against the enemy that underestimated you." Commander ordered, got back to his previous position.

The sky groaned and beat the start drum for the new rivals. Enammer adjusted the stick back to the shelf and strode to Elan who was under treatment by some of their teammates.

"Sorry man! I didn't mean to hurt you; I just took it so seriously." Enammer claimed.

"It was serious, man!" He pointed out his forefinger to Enammer's bleeding arm and torn coat.

His eyes rolled down, just realized that the commander was actually training them and scanning their skills. He wished that Delun understood that.

Elan tapped him on the shoulder and got into his feet, shaking his leg said, "I am fine. Those are not strong ray balls."

Enammer walked to Bo who said, "Who is she? A fay of Tharina?"

She was stunning with well-shaped carves. Her red hair braided and tied up her head. That figure was too distracting for Bo. Especially when he could not realize what she was.

"Wraiths have various kinds. You can't predict their moves so be vigilant and fight for your life the way that you might stand against a savage dragon." Commander Chen warned, studying Bo's expression.

"Don't let the beauty distract you, kitty!" It was a piece of advice from Elan that made everyone laugh.

"How did the people realize what I said behind the door?" Enammer growled.

"The doorbell microphone was on! Your voice already echoed in the hall and the laughter we heard, it came out because of that!" Bo explained.

Enammer coughed, "A lion! She can transform into a lion. Those golden eyes are terrifying."

Bo cursed under breath. Delun was in trouble.

"Why should I be against a girl? I can't hurt girls!" Delun protested.

Rosalina hissed, her fangs glinted, hands turned to blond hairy lion paw shapes, and she seized.

Delun slipped on the mud and water splashed back, poured on the witnesses. The girl was fay and they were quick so the power wouldn't help that much as long as he was facing a lion fay. He had to use his rich brain to survive this battle.

He needed a weakness to seize on that point and had to hang on for a while. To find that matter he had a short time before she entirely decided to shift her shape.

She didn't let her prey firm back and to get the chance for a run, bounced up, Delun twisted to dodge then he grabbed hold of the girl's hip and smashed her to the ground. The place fell in silence. Despite those guests that he gathered around his tummy, partying his health, he was fast and truly mighty.

The commander marveled and got impressed about how he used his brain and body, making them work together. He was able to think fast and in his record of information, they emphasized that Delun Lee had an Ace rank detective in the first grade. Karmalin knew that they were worthy of becoming Vita's hope that was why he sent them here in the team that high fays in the court were trying to disband.

This battle was done. The girl shifted to her lion shape and roared.

"What a cute little kitty!" Delun jested and she surged forward but the commander's cry echoed well enough to make her halt. She sat on the ground beside Delun, her body shaped back.

"Enough, Rosalina! Keep that rage for somewhere else."

She grinned and passed by Delun. Unlike what Delun thought, she wasn't as proud as the other fays were except for his low-key mate, Enammer.

"Delun surprised me." Enammer confessed.

"He always makes us forget what he is capable of," Bo confirmed.

Delun approached them, saying, "What did they think about me? I wholly worked in a smithy last summer."

"Well done, Brother." Bo said.

"Come on, you little one! I choose you." The commander declared.

"He is not on good terms with us! Is that for last night?" Delun guessed.

"I think he knows who I am," Bo announced.

"He knows that you are the dia… carri…"

Enammer hissed Delun before finished his statement.

Bo headed to the arena. He was completely aware that Commander Chen wasn't only a masculine man with V shape body but he was also very smart. During his friends' battle, he saw how this man was reading them carefully. Karmalin passed them to the good hands. He was wrong about this man.

Commander Chen let the boy approach but not the much to wait for his seize. He attacked before the boy even got the chance to think.

He took hold of Bo's collar and threw him up to the cube shape stone that he was already. Bo gathered his legs into his chest, taking the advantage of the opportunity he grasped. It didn't matter that he was without diamond now but it already provoked his inner mind power.

"Wow!" Elan blurted.

"I can't believe that he managed to stand on his feet! Are you sure that he is a pure human?" Zach asked.

"What did you expect from Karmalin's pupils?" One of their redhead teammates who was leaning on the wall said.

"Ray! How did you know that?" Rosalina asked.

"I saw them through Cameras while they were practicing in the forest. I was on my night post." He answered.

The human boy managed to kneel on one knee, one of his hands stretched back and the other one kissed the surface.

Commander rushed up and the boy bounced on the other stone beside the previous one.

"I know what you are! Prove that you deserve that title, you deserve to protect Vita." Commander Chen mumbled.

Bo reminded what Karmalin said, that as soon as he overcame the diamond desires, he would soon be able to shape the natural elements that were sensitive to lightning and electricity power therefore water was the first one.

These words that left the commander's mouth tickled his mind and heart. He had lost many things for Vita already and now Lashuka was after him, to make him a dedicated dog to his throne.

He focused, the raindrops gathered in halfway of reaching the ground down the stones and a thin river of them wiggled to Commander Chen, their pace increased and they were lucky that he hadn't the diamond on his chest.

"Stop it." The werewolf man said before other Aligners realized this matter and the boy revealed his shadow Aligner identity.

The water came back to the raindrop shape and laid on the ground.

"What happened?" Delun said.

"You are done for today! Go and prepare for making some muscles." Commander ordered and Bo obeyed, jumping down joining his teammates that were keen to greet him.
