Alysé's heart was with Ryan and so was her attention. She could not understand why he would not invade her dreams.
"He was in delirium…" she recalled Kian's words.
"Was he again in delirium?" she wondered. "But how did it happen?"
She wished to know everything that happened with him, right from the beginning. Who could tell her better than his partner in there, Thomas?
She called up Thomas one afternoon. Afternoon siestas are one of the joys that Thomas had rarely enjoyed before the pandemic. But caretaking also meant taking care of oneself and he often indulged in afternoon sleeps.
So, it was a crime to disturb him when he was at such an important job of the day. He did not pick her call twice and the third time when he picked he barked at her - "What the hell is so important that someone would call at such an hour!" he said
"Oh…I am so sorry…I did not realize that you were so busy?" Alysé apologized and disconnected the call.
