Chapter 3 - THE HOODED LADIES

"I'm so glad we're in the same class, Zara. I still got those jitters when entering a classroom alone. You know, like what happened in my first class," Ella smiled coyly. She wasn't expecting to meet a new friend on her first day in the university with her very timid personality. She didn't have many friends in high school and at the workplace, so she had been expecting herself to walk awkwardly alone on campus.

"Girl, you gotta stop kidding me. Can't you see your face in the mirror? You are very attractive and such a very welcoming feature. Maybe, if I'm not walking with you now? Some guy already did." Zara's eyes widened as she remarked.

Leira stopped, she turned to face Zara and Ella with her hand in the pocket of his tattered long jeans and exhales. "So dude, I'm finally here in my classroom. Thanks for being a good influence and for sending me here, even though I've already decided not to attend this class a few minutes ago?" Her lips pouted disapprovingly, and she raised her shoulders to a shrug.

"Sure, Sistah, we don't want to leave you there alone. We don't want to hear a report about a student disappearing on the first day of class," Zara smirked kiddingly to Leira. " Well, okay, we gotta go to our next class. Make sure to enter the classroom." Zara points her fingers at Leira, giving her a warning gesture.

Leira guffawed, "So long, sucker!"

"Bye, bye, butterfly!" Zara replied, with her back already turned away from Leira and grabbing Ella's hand.

"Take care, Liera!" Ella waved my hand as I walked away with Zara.

The next class was a philosophy class. Zara and Ella's classroom was half full when they arrived. Being a working student, Zara and Ella are not in a regular class or, as they say, not in a block section, and students usually took philosophy during the second year of their course. Since they had the same case, it would be hard for them to follow the sequences of their subjects based on what's exactly on the prospectus. With lesser subjects offered during night classes, they were forced to take the classes available depending on their schedule.

"Perfect! The Seats on the front were vacant." Zara abruptly sat on the centermost and the frontward seat in that classroom. Ella also sat beside her without a sound.

Moments later, a group of three girls sashayed into the classroom. The clatter of their wedge boots got everyone's attention. They halted in front of the class with an akimbo pose in their most elegant poised.

The girl in the middle, who seemed like their leader, was Dennise. She raised her eyebrow over Ella and Zara.

"Augh, freshmen for sure, who never knew their places." Dennise rolled her almond-shaped, winter gray eyes and flipped her golden wavy hair. "Are you lost, baby girls?" She smirked.

"Excuse us? What's your problem, baby girl?" Zara stood up with a stomp, pushed her rather less adequate bust on her, in her effort to intimidate her.

Her two companions interpose and about to crack up while peering towards Zara, head to foot.

"You are in our seat, idiot!" Dennise's eyes widened as she yelled, which made her look more intimidating.

"Zara, there are vacant seats at the side. Let's just sit there," Ella, who was naturally scared of trouble, muttered to Zara. Besides, it's undeniable Dennise made Ella a bit intimidated.

"Not a chance," Zara's eyebrows met as she threw her dagger eyes to the three girls.

However, Ella's heart was hammered inside her chest, apprehensive about being dragged in a stoush on my very first day at the University. Suddenly, in almost perfect timing, another group of females got inside their classroom.

Every eye inside that classroom was on the group of girls who barged in, and they looked more intimidating than Dennise's group, who tried to take over Zara and Ella's seats.

In fact, Dennise herself hastily ran to the vacant chair on the side.

Scared, like a cat on hot bricks, but also their looks are quite terrifying as well, not to mention weird. Their faces are barely seen, covered with artistic studded hoodies. The only visible are their black lipsticks.

They looked like a famous girl group with their uniformed outfit. A sleeveless crop top shirt under the hooded jacket, exposing the letter V tattoo in an old English font and five little stars surrounding them, was perfectly and seductively drawn in the left side of their hips.

They paired it with a laced high-low skirt on top of a mini skirt paired with bondage boots, and everything they wore was black.

The girl, who got the head of the line, raised her right hand high with an open palm as she stood with slightly open legs bearing her weight on one side of her body. Her posture simply screams authority, and she effortlessly compels everyone to have their full attention to her and halt on whatever made them busy at that moment.

"I'm Ivory, speaking on behalf of Delta Zeta Xi Sorority. For the ladies alone, take forms and fill it up if you want to be a part of the sisterhood."

"Hola! Pass me one here!" Dennise raised her hand, asking for the form.

"Oh god, why is she so excited?" Ella raised her eyebrows with surprise. She didn't understand the apprehensiveness, she felt about sororities and stuff was the total opposite she saw from other girls inside the classroom. She could never forget the dreadful things her mom told her about sororities and fraternities.

Other girls in black hoody handed all of the females a form that looks more like a brochure and form in one.

"Shit… Free boarding at the sorority house, free tuition fee, and party every night… Wow, too much to read on the list." Zara's eyes widened while reading over the brochure. "Shit, I forgot my pen in the last class, may I borrow yours? I fill this us ASAP!"

"Wait, are you signing up?" Ella asked with anxiousness on her look while taking her pen out of her bag.

"Well yeah, of course, they got me at a party every night," Zara giggled excitedly.

"Are you for real? Just because of the party every night thingy?" She furrowed her brows like she can't believe that girls were taking the bait just only for that reason.

"For real? I'm obviously just kidding. Just take a look at all these perks if we can truly get in. The free boarding, the scholarship, and besides, this one." Zara pointed out one of the privileges written.

[The sisterhood will support you and help you to get the one you love.] Then she continued. "I have this long-time crush. Well, it's actually more than that; he was all I wanted."

Ella, although worried, just smiled, amused to know how hopeless romantic her new friend could be.

"And? How about you? Aren't you signing up?" Zara frowned. She did expect Ella to join her.

"But I'm not too fond of being in a sorority. I heard a lot of abominable things that happened during their initiations. The hazing and everything, it's so scary," Ella muttered, trying her best not to let the straty girls heard her remark.

"You're you joking? you didn't know what you're about to miss. I rather suggest you better sleep this over." Zara squinted.
