"Welcome to the joy camp, Yvonne!"
Yvonne's eyes were lit up, as if to shout 'wow!'
She had suddenly left the narrow creepy and foggy passageway that couldn't tell the time of day and found herself in the sunlight, and the beauty ahead.
"This is where you live?" She asked Moirai.
"Well, sorta. This is Joy camp, home of the Kouzlo party."
"What's a Kouzlo?" Yvonne asked snappily.
"Haah. Let's get settled in. You can leave my hand now, the juniors are approaching." Yvonne looked at her hand and realized she was still holding Moirai's. She quickly let go of it.
The Joy camp was the home of Moirai's party, a group living and training together. It was built like a manor. At the center was a building where they lived in. Towards the front and back of the building were light forests with tall trees. Moirai and Yvonne came from the right or east side of the building with the front serving as the north. Towards the left side of the building, there were rocky formations scattered about. A warm spring flower through there. The back of the building also had three tent-like buildings while between the space in the right side of the building and the entrance to the camp, there was a pool and some outdoor training facilities. The front of the building also had some training facilities.
These facilities were designed for magical fights and mock battles among the party members.
As Moirai and Yvonne descended the stairs from the entrance to the camp to the training grounds infront, five children between the ages of seven and ten ran to them. They were dressed in training jerseys.
"Heyy!"
Moirai stretched out his hands to receive the children. They all hugged each other.
"Uncle Moirai you're finally back!"
"And with a new girl!"
"Haha!" Moirai scratched his head a little amid an awkward smile as the children swamped him in talks. Yvonne started wondering how long Moirai had been away from his supposed home, moreso how long he had been watching her back in the city.
"Well Yvonne, these are Joy camp's next generations," Moirai said to Yvonne. The children were looking at Yvonne like they were meeting an amusing stranger. Yvonne realized Moirai had just introduced her to them.
"Oh hi kids, tis uhh…you been training all day?" Yvonne struggled to get the words out of her mouth. She wasn't the most social of person's afterall, apart from close friends and family, she barely saw reason to talk to people. Except her friends were engaging people shed consider as not-friends.
"Good to see you sis," one of the boys with Moirai said to Yvonne. The amusement on their faces had seemingly dropped, and Yvonne had felt it. She thought to herself how boring she could be.
"Alright then, let's head inside. There's a lot to do and some cranky ladies and guys waiting for us so we can start our plans."
"For us?...wait what plans?" Yvonne asked Moirai.
"You'll see Yvonne. Let's just head in."
The kids played about Moirai, asking him different questions along while he smiled and replied them as they headed into the main building, with Yvonne following behind, quietly.
They entered the building from the front into a large room which looked more like a living room. The room had complete sets of chairs and a large TV about seventy two inches from Yvonne's deduction. A Game console and a DVD player were below the TV on their rack. The room was dimly lit through the light curtains covering the windows, and the wall was superficially designed with wood.
"This is more like our living room," Moirai told Yvonne. "It's empty now cus basically everyone's training for what's to come. Apart from those of us that'll be automatically selected, some of us will have to prove that they can make up the numbers."
"You do know you've barely scratched the surface on what's going on here right? I don't even know what's coming." Yvonne looked at Moirai with confusion.
"Okay then. Kids, go rest for now. I and my guest have somethings to discuss with your other seniors."
"Okayy!" Some of the kids responded and then they all left.
"Well Yvonne, follow me please." They passed through passageways in the house, with Moirai describing what was what along the way until they reached the east wing, and got out of the building to face some rocky formations. They headed towards it, and met a girl sitting on one of the rocks.
"The prince of Joy returns after his many months of misadventures tailing a time bender, and almost losing her. Atleast you've grown some stubble eh, Moirai."
She stood on the rock and looked down on them. The girl had blonde hair and a quite intimidating appearance, yet pretty. She was wearing a pair of thin blue jean trousers and a pink long sleeve shirt.
Moirai looked at her and smiled.
"Good to see you again, Imogen!"
