Both beasts liked that she had named them and came closer to lick her. What surprised little Mara is that their minty-smelling breath is a little strange.
The Guardian sensed the little girl's emotions and laughed.
"They can eat anything, but they don't like to keep their breath smelling like their food, so after eating, they look for the mint plant and eat it to change their mouth odor."
"Oh, I must say it's a good habit, but..."
After a silence, she spoke solemnly.
"How is it possible for them to eat, if they did not form their corporeal figures as they are now?"
