She flinched a little at the intimidating voice and the suffocating aura filling the surrounding, making her unable to breathe properly, to say nothing about thinking properly. It's not like she had never ever faced intimidation before. But this guy was on a completely different level of intimidating people, making her feel that creepy shiver running down her spine.
Damn! This fellow was so handsome, but he was so intimidating and menacing that she didn't even know what to do. How to escape from this situation. From... Him.
Yep, that was quite typical of her... aka Aelin Kim. Trying to avoid danger as much as she could. Be it as an object or as a person. She never fought back. She was never ever taught that. So, the only thing that she learned from the circumstances was to escape. To run. To avoid. To escape. To protect herself.
Unknowingly she was already shivering from the terror. This guy's gaze, voice, and aura were showcasing to their fullest. There were beads of sweat lying on her forehead, not because of the temperature thing, which didn't exist in Heaven. But because of this guy.
At that time, her reaction was no less than a deer who had just encountered a Tiger, like prey.
Prithvi [ The Great Dietiness; Prithvi Raj ] saw her trembling as an abandoned and helpless little animal coated with the layer of fear and couldn't help but feel the great urge to rub his eyes, just to ensure he wasn't dreaming. Was he?
Firstly, he couldn't even believe that the Little Devil, who liked to torture others to the point that they cry and beg for their death, that heartless creature herself was acting all scared and terrified in front of him.
He wanted to rub his eyes to make sure he wasn't hallucinating. She was actually scared of him. Him! Of all the creatures of three worlds, it's him, this little devil was scared off. He was surely dreaming! It couldn't be real! It was far more than impossible.
This devil who believed in torturing others to death or giving her enemies the slow, painful death. She, the great devil, was actually scared! And out of everyone, out there, neither it's the demon of Hellish realm, nor the Sea monsters of Oceanic realm, to say nothing about the weaklings of the land realm or the powerful deities of heavenly realm.
It's him. The most harmless, the cutest creature of The Universe. Him!
[ Author : Ahem* Ahem*. My Lord, lying isn't something a deity
should do. You know.
Prithvi : I never ever lied. I am the most harmless creature of the
Entire Universe.
Author : Then can you explain who was the one who remove the
Fin Species of Water realm, while using his special power
which leads to the extinction of Fin species permanently.
Prithvi : It was the need of the time. I just lend my aid a bit.
Author : I remember, The Great Dietiness said he won't interfere.
Prithvi : Aiyo, human. Don't use your brain too much. I just helped
the heaveners, which is my duty.
Author : Heavers or This little devil!
Prithvi : Ahem* Whatever. I am harmless. End of discussion.]
He was shocked beyond limits, considered a dangerous creature, by the most dangerous creature of the entire Universe herself. That too for the first time, in his entire existence. And the most powerful creature of The Entire Universe felt completely helpless.
He saw Nature retreating from the place and leaving the room from the back of his eye. Great! Just Great! Here he was racking his brain on how to make this little devil believe that he is harmless chocolate in front of her.
Yet, that ugly creature who was responsible for everything here. It just sneaked out from the barrier. Wonderful. God Damn It!!! What should he do in such a situation?! Heavens!!! He just wanted to console this trembling devil in front of him. But the question was how?
He was worried about her. He liked her fire-evolving, killing, threatening, dangerous, raged side more than this side of the present. What's more, he didn't know what he was supposed to do in such a situation. Aiye!
Could there be any other situation in his life that resulted in such failure?
The answer would be a resounding no! He didn't feel defeated when he was fighting with monsters alone. He didn't feel devastated when he fought centuries-old battles. He didn't feel helpless when he was captured and tortured by those creeps. He didn't feel hurt when he went against his own family to protect her.
Millions of situations he had faced in his life of 1000 years. But, he could swear on his life. That he never felt like this. Ever. He was happy when she hated him. He was happy when she fought with him. He was happy when she cursed him to his death. But this fearful side of her was making him very uneasy.
But.. the most important question at hand isn't that this is the most helpless phase of his life. But that... he didn't know how to salvage this person and this situation.
And at the end of the day, he did the most idiotic thing, which he wouldn't have done if the creature in concern wasn't this little devil of his.
"Don't get scared. It's absolutely alright if you don't want to know me. It's absolutely alright if you want to forget about me. It's okay if you don't know who I am. Just don't get scared of me. Okay!" He said in the most gentle, most humble, highly tender, and adorable voice, which definitely resulted from his centuries-old practices, which he had done just for her. While trying his best to coax this shivering little rabbit.
Well, as per the common human logic. When someone says, ' don't do ' for something or anything. We, humans, exactly do the same thing for many reasons. Sometimes, without any reason.
So, when she heard a very gentle voice telling her not to be afraid of him, she already started distancing herself from him. In return, she moved as far away from him as possible, leading in almost fall of her from her supposed bed which in actuality was a cloud, making her deadly shocked.
The reason for the shock was the sky, whose glimpse she caught rather than the floor on the ground. The Heck! Luckily Prithvi caught her, or else she might have really fallen from the cloud into the open sky. The floor of the heaveners. And since she was clueless about the existence of her wings, or the use of mind power, which the heaveners use, it most probably would have led to disaster.
She felt her heart come to her throat. And that was the time when she looked at her surroundings or, to be precise, on the floor, which indeed was sky… not the wooden floor or marbled floor or cement floor.
So, before she knew it, she ended up screaming on top of her lungs. 'Ahhh!!!!' Making the already worried Prithvi stare at this creature in front of him with a confused and stupefied look.
Well, Aelin Kim was scared of heights, and when she found herself in a foreign place, from where she could see the blue sky and white clouds beneath the room, she was shit-scared and ended up screaming on top of her lungs.
Although after watching left-right, up and down, she took this place as a glass room, from which she can see the sky from the floor, from her ceiling, and from her right and left. When you're wealthy, you know nearly every strange trait that these millionaires or billionaires have. Then, you feel like nothing is possible. Even she had a greenhouse farm on the 20the floor.
Her friend carries the little sea in her house. Then another friend carries the little garden of Eden in her house. So, anything to everything is possible unless you have money to pay for it.
Leading her not to think much about the place because the problem at hand was her phobia of heights. Making her unable to calm down at any cost.
Prithvi just stared at her, confused, worried, and stupefied. She was screaming without any reason. Heavens! He hadn't even touched her yet. Alright, he did. But that was to help her from falling from the cloud. But all that he got in return was her screams.
As if she was all set to pour her heart out in that screams of her. Prithvi, who thought that there was nothing he couldn't deal with or take care of, only realized 'This creature' exists.
Well, Aelin was expecting some mental abuse by that intimidation of this guy, but it didn't come, which was more than enough for her to calm down, but then that gentle voice. It made her wary reflexively. Wasn't Ashoka all sweet, gentle, and caring in the start too? But then, it was also him who turned into her biggest nightmare. And now her phobia struck up.
Aiyo! It just ruined the calmness inside her, stirring up all the pains, all the torture, all the humiliations, all the fears she had been through in her life. Her voice, ideas, and sound, she had been suppressed fully in that cage created by people.
That right now, all that she wanted was to hear her own voice, in all that maze, all the phobia, all those memories, all those pains, all those intimidating scenes, all those terrific sites. So, she screamed.
But in actuality, she was calling for herself. In that darkness, in that silence, in those teary nights... In those creepy sights... Those scary incidents..which lead to her phobia of the present. She was just calling herself.
She was always cheerful, always smiling, always cute, always beautiful, always graceful, always elegant, always happy, getting the best of the world... The center of envy, facade back to herself.
After all, she was taught this. No matter what she had to go through in her day-to-day life. She could only pretend to be the best, the most envious, the luckiest person on Earth. Because she belongs to him. And only the best and source of people's envy is worthy of him.
~~
Since The Great Dietiness didn't know how to deal with the situation and leaving her alone in such a situation wasn't an option either.
So, he just stared at the vulnerable, fragile creature in front of him, who was constantly screaming, with her hands shutting her ears and her eyes glistening with the beads of water, aka tears tightly shut, from the World. From him. The Great Dietiness waited for Aelin to calm down.
When she finally calmed down and decided not to stare at the floor. She thought she would be all alone again, as always. Well, whenever she used to throw a fit, she was left all alone by everyone, who neither cared nor wanted to care about her. But only to her dismay, she saw the handsome yet terrifying face just a few inches apart.
Well, he was still standing in his very place. While his upper half of the body leaning a little towards her, closing some distance between them.
But he still remembered to maintain the distance in between them. After all, it won't be ideal if she burnt his handsome face for nothing, right!
She was a thousand times more dangerous than a dragon, after all. Her fire was in the purest form, the form that humans had never even seen in their lives.
"Are you alright, now?" He asked in utmost concern. After all, the last thing that he wanted was to ignite the crybaby in her. Her eyes were already showing the touch of water in them, aka tears.
She just stared at him. The same way, a child stared at a magician with utmost curiosity yet fear. Come on, she didn't want to ignite that terrible side of his either. That voice. That intimidation. Damn.
It was more than enough for her to go through a heart attack.
