When we reached the Ross Estate, Luis offered me a hand as soon as he got off the carriage. I didn't refuse his help and stood in front of him outside the main mansion.
"I'll see you in a few days," he said with the same smile. "If not me, I will ask someone from my estate to fetch you to the imperial palace."
"Sure." I nodded before performing a small curtsy. "Thank you for everything, Lu. Be careful on your way back."
"Mhm." He rocked his head, glancing at the person standing behind me. "You must go now, my lady."
"You should, Your Grace. I would like to send you off," I argued calmly as I truly wanted to see him off. I was only a few steps away from this hell, so I would rather see him leave safely.
"No, you should go in."
A shallow breath slipped past my lips as I frowned. Why was this man so stubborn?
