Sweety was silent. It was not her forte to embrace silence when something wrong occurred, just that she did not want to argue with her father.
"What?" He demanded angrily. "Lost your tongue? Have you forgotten if your family here?"
His words were another thing for her, he said such hurtful words which pricked her heart every time. And she would only cry alone when all that is over. Just like now.
"Frank Wilson." Rob informed for his hotel reservation to the juicy attendant.
She put the loose strand of her hair for the fifth time behind her ear since he made entrance at the reception.
"I'm so sorry sir but there is no reservation under that name." She pouted in worry. "I could have arranged a room for you at last minute but you see Sir there is a lot of rush."
Yeah he knew it was season for holiday goers to enjoy themselves.
Keeping up his smirk he tried, " Is there ree-ally no other way, Vaani?" He asked her seeing her name tag on her upper breast.
Vaani blusher incidentally, she was not bad in his taste. He was in mood of some sensitive material for tonight.
"Um, there could be one available but it is in employee quarters as I'll be doing overnight today."
"Anything as long as I'm checked in THIS hotel." He stared her unblinking, after she was well into him he heard her next.
"But you'll have to wait until 10. Manager has to leave for you to settle in!"
"Excellent! Since the service was last minute," he emphasised the two words erotically that he could smell her turned on from other part of the desk. "I'll make sure to tip you very generously."
Vaani couldn't help her giggles from escaping.
It was enough of a coincidence for the man posing as a teacher in order to get his locket back which was not even belonging to him completely! Now, he watched the girl Sweety waiting in the queue to get her ticket checked.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" He shouted in whispers at the traitor friend. "You had me booked for the same flight as hers?"
Tyler agreed, "How else were you going to catch up to her? And I needed to indulge you in some intel. This time you are going to introduce me as your friend. And then you may go on your way, I'll try to convince her in getting the locket back. After I dismantle it, you can take the thing away."
He should be happy for not having to smash under the pressure anymore but the tone of this black guy was bothering him.
"You are saying I couldn't do it that's why you are gonna do it."
Tyler pauses for two seconds then said. "Kinda."
Rob gritted his teeth in irritation. Then came upon an idea. "Or how about this, we take 15 days as a challenge to see who gets the chain first." This time he went to stand in the same queue as Sweety, who was three passengers ahead from him.
"You know your tactics don't scare me and that you fail a lot of times challenging me. Remember the school days?" Tyler mocked.
"The school days are long gone. Also, I won in taking your most precious invention for three years! I guess I am still on the winning side."
"Look Rob. We'll discuss this on reaching Mumbai. Don't do anything you can't undo."
"The challenge starts now, boy."
"Rob-" He hung up while eyeing Sweety alone with her suitcase.
"Shit." Tyler muttered trying to call him back but the idiot switched it off. "I shouldn't have put them in one flight." Clearly regretting his decision he slumped in his couch awaiting them to land already!
"No just one bag to check in." Sweety informed the male attendant.
"Welcome aboard Mam." The flight host replied.
"Thank you." She collected the ticket and made her way sideways to the waiting lounge where she would depart.
Sweety was walking casually when something in the corner of her eye was demanding her to take just a petty peep at.
And she did. She saw the man with his back to her since she came out of the queue from the other way. His face was not visible but his physique reminded her of Mr. Wilson.
Shaking her head she reasoned. "Why would he be here?"
That would be a completely weird coincidence for her and Mr. Wilson in the same flight on the same day for holiday!
"Sweety Roulette." Her name was called. She looked up at the speakers which were speaking about the fore coming flights. Did they call her name? But her flight was scheduled to be after half an hour.
"Hey!" Sweety jumped from the surprise on her right side that the suitcase handle slipped from her hand leading it to topple sideways.
"This suitcase is way too old for going through long distances. Even the handles are not being handy." Rob stroke a bright smile to the shocked girl.
It wasn't that she expected his presence but the realisation of her doubt coming true, scared her. Quite.
"Wh-What are you...?" She stared at him in question.
"Oh, I was checking in after you. I thought I saw a familiar figure," he gave an appreciative gaze upon her head to toe. She was wearing a simple top with cross cross stripes in the back, starting from her neck and just above her bra strip. He knew that as he saw her black bra while she picked her luggage from the ground. "So I came to check and voila! We are sharing the same flight!"
"But I did not tell you what flight ticket I'm holding." She stated.
Darn this smart ass.
Licking his lips once he answered while beginning to walk. "I just presumed you must be going to Mumbai. Most people go to popular places for vacation." He saw his words didn't satisfy her.
"Okay. I live there. When I'm not working I live with my friend who rented me an apartment."
Sweety was also walking along side him since it was rude to draw back when speaking.
"That is nothing to hide."
He smiled before asking, "What about you? Going for a good Mumbai tour?" Rob reminded himself to get in the character.
Be in character.
Be in character!
"Meeting my family."
"You never said your family lived in Mumbai." He posed even if he knew everything. God, she was the only one apart from Tyler he was acquainted 'personally'. Tyler was aware he knew him but she was not even aware of that. Couple of times he wondered what will happen when she'll know how much he knew about her. Will she be flattered? Or furious? Whatever the case, he didn't have to care. After taking the locket back, she won't be his business.
"Sir? Sir!" A push on his shoulder broke his continuous eye gazing over Sweety.
"Hmm?"
Blinking she showed, "You stopped in the middle of the alley."
Rob saw the field he was in and again someone pushed against his shoulder and went past him.
"Hey you! You better watch your fu-"
"Sir! Let's go please." Sweety reminded him where he was.
"Right. Stupid people." He rolled his eyes at the audacity of them to push him away like he was an invisible buddy.
If Sweety wasn't here, he would have... He remembered what he did to Julia Sanders. A slant smirk formed on his lips as he thought of that night. Glancing to his companion who was an interesting material that the girl he had last night, he looked forward to having her too.
Strange as it may, he was a little too excited for having this curvy girl. Even for a fling.
