Chapter 33 - 33 Child Murderer

The bat that was attached to Brielle blew off and was shredded by the force of the fight. Ketan sat up in his bed, angry. 'Who the fuck dares to touch my mark?!' He jumps up and pops down to the chocolate shop, and looks through the dust that was starting to settle. Angrily, he sees the ones in the dust.

Brielle jumped into two supernaturals fighting. Her scythe now had another blade on the other end. She blocked a vampire's attack on one end and a werewolf's attack on the other side. "Just because this is a night mall does not mean that the two of you can destroy the fucking place!!"

The two supernaturals turned and looked at the hunter, that stopped both in their tracks. The vampire was the first to talk, "if it was not for the mutt, I would never start anything." He was giving the werewolf the death glare.

While the werewolf was protecting a child. "You attacked when I found this child! I was not going to steal him. I was trying to help her find his family."

"ENOUGH!!! Both of you." Ketan stepped forward and beckoned the child to come to him. "If all you two can think about is attacking, then you should think before you act."

Seeing Ketan, the boy happily runs to him. He bows to him, "Your majesty. It is an honour to meet you. My name is Anthony, but you can call me Ant. I was here with my mother when we got separated. The werewolf said he was going to take me to the guest services."

Ketan scoops him up, "alright. I believe you. What happened that sparked this?" He stared at the two between Brielle. "Oh, I recognize you." Ketan licked his fangs. "Hunter, would you mind detaining both, and I will be back after the child is reunited with her family?"

Sighing, Brielle pulled out two sets of cuffs and looked between the two supernaturals. The scythe starts to shrink in length, bringing them both closer to her. She cuffed both of them. Brielle presses the button on the scythe, getting the scythe to go back into pole form. "Yeah, I can handle them." She grabs both cuffs and drags the two to the interrogation room.

Anthony looked up at Ketan. "That was my first time seeing a hunter in person. She looked so cool when she jumped in to break up the fight!" He was moving his hands, happy to show just how much he thought that Brielle was excellent. When they reached the table, there was a lady who was bawling. "MAMA!"

Ketan let out a sigh, "I am glad that we do not need to wait for your mother to come." He set the girl down and held her hand until they were in front of the mother.

"Anthony!" The lady kneeled down and bowed her head to Ketan. "Your majesty. Thank you for bringing my son back to me. I was frantically looking for him. Anthony, what did I tell you about leaving my side?"

"I'm sorry, Mama. A werewolf was going to lead me here, but someone tried to stop him, and that is when his majesty stepped in. Thank you again." He bowed to him.

"I made it so that now could hear us talking. I prefer to not be outed. Just call me Ketan while I am out. I have not taken the crown from my mother and father yet." He smiled at the two. "I have to go help the hunter deal with those two. Ant, make sure that you listen to your mother. She is not telling you what to do because she doesn't trust you, but she doesn't trust others." He got up, waved as he disappeared from their sights.

Brielle had the two separated, with the vampire in the cage. As when they reached the room, he tried to bite Brielle. If it was not for the werewolf "tripping" the vampire. He would've given them the slip. "Now I have even less of a reason to believe you, Vampire. Biting an unwilling victim is a good way to get yourself killed."

Ketan caught the end of that, and he saw red. He entered the cell, grabbed the vampire by the neck. "You are attacking unsuspecting people? You are the type of fucking vampire that gives the rest of us a fucking bad name." He pinned up to the floor and wanted as the vampire clawed at Ketan's hands.

~Whoa, Ketan. I can feel your anger from here? Are you okay?" Kitty's voice echoed within his head.

Ignoring Kitty for a moment, he watched the vampire's face change colour before he let him crumple to the floor. ~ Don't worry about it. Just some rift rafts that have pissed me off by trying to kidnap a six-year-old girl.~ Ketan turned and looked at Brielle with black eyes.

Gasping, Brielle saw his eyes. "I thought a vampire's eyes were only red?" She couldn't look away. Her hand was shaking as she held the scythe.

~Kill him. Drain him dry. We do not need an asshole like that to get the next child he sees. Breathe to calm down so that you can drink from him deeply.~ Kitty cut the connection.

Covering his eyes, he took some deep breaths. When he removed his hands, his eyes returned to the red colour Brielle had seen earlier. "Sorry about that. It happens when I lose my temper. Just thinking that this," points the vampire, "scum. Almost killed a young vampire angered me. Do you need him still?"

Brielle looked at between the werewolf and vampires. "No, I think that I got what I needed. I was thinking about how to deal with him. I can't kill him, but I also cannot stop you from killing him now that we are behind this door."

The werewolf, "I hope that you know that I was only going to help the boy find his mother. He was crying, and that broke my heart. I have pups, and if one of them got lost, I would get upset and try to find them. Oh, and I gave him a lollipop because I needed him to talk to me. I even protected him from his attack." He points to the vampire in front of Ketan.

"Thank you for your permission." Ketan flipped the vampire around, sank his fangs into the vampire and started reading his memories.

~Memories of the Vampire~

The first starts with him luring the boy away using a toy and picks him up. The boy bites his arm and runs away, and runs into the werewolf. The vampire stalked them the entire time. Seeing the boy shivering and shaking, the werewolf pulls out a lollipop and a picture of him pups falls from his pocket. The boy picks up the picture. "I will trust you. You have pups of your own." He took the lollipop and placed it in his pocket.

"Thank you for your trust. Come on, let's go and find your mother. I am sure the information desk is the best place to go." He starts to lead him in that direction. Then he pushed him behind him and blocked the vampire's path.

Digging deeper, Ketan reads older memories and sees vampire children perishing at his hands. There was a four-year-old boy that he kidnapped and devoured his blood in an alley. He watched the boy turn to dust. The laughing made Ketan drink more deeply.

The next memory was him breaking into a house. There was a pair of twins. "Abominations. Hybrid babies. Although this will be a rare treat for me." He picked up the first baby, drained the blood, and dropped the corpse into the crib. Then he went to the other baby and drank all the blood from the baby, and that one turned into dust as the corpse was dropped. He went and stood at the window and waited for the parents to come and see his handiwork. "This is why hybrids are not allowed. A witch and vampire is a disgrace." He jumped and disappeared into the night, jumping from rooftop to rooftop.

~End of Memories~

Ketan drank until the last drop and stepped back. "Now it is your turn to suffer. Killing children is punishable by death." The body slowly turned to dust. "Werewolf. Ant told me that you helped him, and with seeing these abominations memories, I know that you are telling the truth."

Brielle uncuffed the werewolf, and he didn't fight her. "I believe your word, Vampire, but what I want to know is how you knew that I needed help? It is not like you and I are on talking terms."

Ketan shrugged and thought about the bat that got destroyed. He created a new one and let it fly to Brielle. This time it landed on her hand. "I had one of my marker bats follow you in case something like this happens. Since I saw you, my thirst has been a little out of control, but do not worry, I do not take blood unwillingly unless they ask for it. Like the girl you saw coming to my room. She is fine, by the way. She is a blood vessel of mine. I treat them well."
