As Luca and Kyle are about to gang up to face the Guild Master in head-to-head combat, the Master on the other hand limbers his right arm and is just waiting for his prey to strike first, waiting diligently and confidently.
The two that are teaming up to defeat the Guild Master watches the slightest movement the man makes, that the time he moves his arm to stretch it, both Luca and Kyle twitch a bit due to them being too wary about him.
"Relax. I'm just preparing myself to prevent unwanted injuries." The Guild Master said and then shifts the hammer he is holding to his other hand to continue his stretching.
"Yeah, I think I drank too much coffee earlier." Kyle said.
The Guild Master smirks and then tilts his head from left to right then tilts it again the other way around.
Kyle realized something ingenious that he shares it with Luca that is beside him.
"Hey, I think it is the right time to attack this dude while he is busy." He said.
And Luca gave him a sickening look after hearing his cleaver idea and then gently slaps his forehead using her backhand.
"Don't you have any honor man? Show some respect." She said.
"Yeah, said the one who uses paralyzing poison to her enemies." Kyle said while looking suspicious of Luca.
The Guild Master finishes his stretching and is now ready for battle. The rest of the guild members surround the three, circling them to create an instant arena for them to fight in.
As for Emily and Alex, they have the best seat in the house. The two sat on a huge boulder and are greatly elevated, giving the two a perfect overview of the whole battlefield.
"Um, Emily? Aren't we suppose to help them out there?" Alex asked Emily that is sitting next to her.
"Nah, let's just let them be I'm tired anyway." Emily said then searches her inventory for something.
After scrolling for a while, she finally found what she is searching for and took out a huge bag of chips from her item bag then opens it immediately.
"Want some?" She asked Alex that is staring at the bag of chips she reaches towards her.
"Well, you see, I know that they are selling something other than potions and equipment but I didn't think of even trying some food they sell here inside the game." Alex said and is hesitating if she will dip her hand in the bag or not.
"Oh… You still haven't got the hang of the VR world?" Emily asked Alex then dips her hand in the bag of chips.
"Well, these can't actually satisfy your "real" body's cravings but these actually taste good." Emily said as she put some of its contents inside her mouth.
"And these won't even add a gram to your calorie intake so it's guilt-free." She added.
"I think I'll pass this time." Alex replied.
"Okay, your choice." Emily said.
The battle then commences, the Guild Master took the first move as he charges to Luca with tremendous speed and then swings his weapon vertically towards Luca with full force.
But Luca didn't bother to dodge, hence she uses her arms to block the hammer that is coming to her.
"Don't get too cocky dude, especially that I am fully buffed." Luca said and then she grabs the hammer to lock the person in place.
"Now!" Luca shouted, signaling Kyle to commence the attack while she is holding off the man.
Then Kyle that is on the side dashes towards the stagnant Guild Master and is about to give him a good slash when a strong shockwave coming out of nowhere blows the two away from the Guild Master, especially Luca that was thrown in quite a distance.
"Didn't expect to use the same skill as you did back then do you?" The Guild Master said as he looks at Luca.
"Yeah, but I'm not the only one that you have to be cautious about." Luca said.
Just above the Guild Master, Kyle is free-falling down behind him, but since the height he is falling is somehow far it gave the Master ample amount of time to prepare himself to swing the hammer to Kyle, as if Kyle is a pitched baseball coming towards the Guild Master.
But before the head of the hammer hits Kyle, Kyle suddenly disappears from his sight and the moment he realized it, Kyle is already beneath him in a flash.
"Surprise…" Kyle said and then he tackles the Guild Master, sending him back towards Luca that is about to cut the Guild Master in half.
Losing his balance due to the push, the Guild Master tries his best to recover but his stumble and the hit that he is about to receive coming from Luca is definite.
If he boldly accepts the attack, then the probability of being defeated has a higher ratio than that of him withstanding the attack since he already anticipated that Luca's target is the most vital part of his body, his head, and concluded that the match will be over instantly with Luca and Kyle as the victor.
But he also has another option and that is to evade it by landing first to the ground before the slash hits his nape. In his current situation that would be the most simple and effective method to evade the attack, but he also has a reputation to keep and getting knocked on the ground and be seen by his underlings in such a way is a no go.
So he made a choice at that moment. It is either him accepting the incoming attack and relies on his luck or slams his body to the ground which is an undesirable sight to be seen by his subordinates, and he chooses the latter.

Upon the skill activation, the Guild Master managed to dodge the swing coming from Luca by speeding up his fall time, slamming his body roughly to the ground, and to add with that, he didn't even drop the hammer from his hand and then uses it to force the enemies around to distance themselves from him by swinging it in a circular motion while on the same time standing up from the fall.
"You know, I thought that hammer he is wielding was that heavy, but it seems like it only weighs as much as a lollipop." Emily said that is watching the fight on the sideline beside Alex that is now unconsciously digging into the bag of chips Emily is holding.
The two girls look as if they are watching an action-filled movie that both of them didn't even bother to blink for a single moment, especially when both sides exchange blows to one another.
The crunching sounds of the chips followed by the slurping sound coming from a cola tumbler that Alex is sipping caught Emily's attention.
"Hey, where did you get that?" Emily asked, referring to the drink Alex is holding.
"I received this as a quest reward back when I helped that item merchant in Florence, didn't thought it could be of use in this situation." Alex said with her full attention on the fight in front of them, she didn't even bother to look at Emily and continues on sipping the drink she has.
"You mean that talkative Merchant?" Emily asked.
"Yup, there is no other talkative merchant in Florence other than that NPC." Alex replied.
"Oh look! I think that Guild Master guy is really getting into the fight." Alex said.
"Yeah, more like rampaging if you ask me. I think he is... what do you call that? Embarrassed? is that it?" Emily added.
"I think it's more like "a sour loser" if you ask me." Alex replied.
The two continue to do as they please until an incoming projectile was flung in their direction. Luckily, it was thrown just a few inches above where they are sitting and it roughly hits the cave wall behind them along with a loud crashing sound upon impact.
When the two turn their heads to where the projectile hits and are astonished at what they are currently looking at. A massive boulder sticking on the cave wall.
Having mixed emotions especially fear, the two became pale while they are looking at the huge hunk of rock that is stuck on the wall, then another projectile came flying towards the same direction hitting it, and this time it is one of the guild members that came along with their Guild Master.
The poor subordinate that is sticking on the wall slowly slides down as if it is a goo.
Seeing that, the two cracked and scolded whoever did it, not because they feel sorry for the guy nor because of the danger that boulder would have given them, it is simply because their viewing was interrupted by it.
Emily shouts while pointing at the boulder and she is very angry about it.
"The fuck are you doing throwing something as dangerous as that? You want us to be collateral damage?!" She said.
Alex also screams out her thoughts about it while pointing to the thrown guy on the ground.
"Don't fucking throw someone randomly to bystanders you fool!" She said.
But when they grasped a clear view of what is currently happening on the field, the two began worrying about Luca and Kyle.
"Don't you think this is the best time to help?" Said Alex while gulping down the saliva that is stuck on her throat.
"Yeah, I think so too." Emily answered Alex's question while fixing her shield thoroughly on her arm.
